The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

As I said when I replied at the top of page 1000, in the link I mentioned ... Isn't ckpool and ckdb open source and on github?
My offhand guess based on the hashrate with only 2 users is that someone with a lot of hardware setup their own pool for their own mining operation and that is the public facing web interface so they can get to it from anywhere.
Rather than speculate, I'm gonna wait for Kano to be up and about, have his PepsiMax, and clue us in. Yeah they've found a couple of blocks also. ... I've no idea who they are, but anyone who's technically competent to do so, can run ckpool and ckdb to make a simple pool. There are a number of pools running ckpool, and a few I know of are running ckdb. A few people have asked me to help them setup a pool, each time I've replied "no" (If you can't setup the pool yourself, you shouldn't be running a pool) The reason the blocks are 750k is most likely the obvious reason ... they didn't change the default in bticoind P.S. I'll delete any more posts about it since it has nothing to do with kano.is

Wow...the first time I've slept in for maybe a couple of years (0700 is sleeping in for me), and I wake to five blocks. Not bad. I could get used to that. Been watching the chatter...you're doin' good, Kano.

Been watching the chatter...you're doin' good, Kano. Yeah, "not bad" We've had pretty steady hash rate in the 44-45PH range over the last few days from when I have noticed. It would be great to have 5-6 blocks per day as our new average. But, I think we are still a little low on hash rate for that to become a reality as the "new norm". Someone mentioned in a post maybe a week or so ago that we needed a steady 50-60PH in order to reach a goal of x amount of blocks per day. I forgot what the x amount was. Anyone remember the post I'm thinking of? Well, it looks like I will be able to add another ~12.9TH back to the pool when my warranty-repaired S9 gets returned to me. Hopefully soon. It hasn't shipped out of China yet. But from all indications, emails, and online forms, it appears B-man replaced my two bad S9 parts under warranty. So other than the outrageous cost of sending the parts back to China, it doesn't look like it will cost me anything additional. Ready for some GREEN BLOCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!Let's DO IT!!

Kano mentioned a while back that he figured it worked out to around a block a day per 10PH. Works for me, looking at the data. Glad you got your stuff fixed. The A6s are running cool for the tropics, and steady. We're probably a bit cooler here than where you are, though...we don't have a Gulf stream to heat up the ocean here. Runs about 80-85F during the day in the summer. I used to have some issues with the S7s in that regard; had to underclock one. They're in Labrador now, though. Mine on!

Runs about 80-85F during the day in the summer. I used to have some issues with the S7s in that regard; had to underclock one. They're in Labrador now, though. Mine on! I'm in the mountains of Western NC at about 3,300 feet elevation. We are much cooler than many places within 20-30 miles of here. Although we have had some hot days this summer. Sometimes in the mid-to-upper 90'sF. But that's higher than the average summer temps in these parts. (We're at 84 degrees right now, which is about average.) But the weather can get COLD in the winter. Can't wait to funnel some of my S9 heat into the rest of the house this winter. Unfortunately I use gas central HVAC heat for my heating. But I'm going to try to use some of my miner heat this winter in some way by ducting the accumulated heat into my HVAC return vents. See if that helps at all. Back on topic. Glad your A6's are running well. I won't be happy until I get the S9 parts back from B-man, and can confirm they are new parts. (I penciled in an inconspicuous # on the parts that were returned because I had them marked for testing when I was swapping out boards to determine the faulty parts.) Once the machine is fired up and hashing at correct speed, then, and only then, will I be happy. Ready for another BLOCK or TWO for this Wacky-Wednesday. I think we deserve it!

No worries...other than my brain going south as well... No, I don't think you could pay me to live in Florida, or Texas for that matter. No offense intended for those of you who do live there. They just aren't my cup of tea. If I could afford it, I'd have a winter home in Telluride, Colorado and a summer home here in the North Carolina mountains. (Guess I better check my Powerball tickets from this past Saturdays' drawing. LOL)
