That large customer of his is Bitcoinclub who also operates a -ck pool (bitclubpool.com). Its a shady group of people if you look through the internet and do some digging. They run mostly Ants. At the moment Iceland is a Hotspot for bigger farms because of power prices and very very good infrastructure. I have faster ping times (Latency) than I had in Europe. Quite important. The new power mecca is not going to be either Canada nor Iceland or Sweden, but a new player with quite some advantages like the fastest internet node in the world and very very cheap Hydro power. These prices are even so low, that even the Chinese may shake their pants we are talking prices around 0,013 and 0,0157 pr KW. Only reason left for the Chinese to be in control for the long run are ASIC industry, but some very big EU ASIC chip producers has just introduced an 10nm Asic and somehow controlled with a completely new design of ARM processor, they are doing test at the moment where the same amount of ASIC`s should tripple the hashrate pr chip... with extreme low power use. Something very very big is going on at the moment out of China... Why do you think most of the big ASIC producers are now bought by banks... If they cant control the network, control the source. Im not saying these AICS will ever come to the home miner, I do not think so, Bitcoin has become too big, even for the EU producers of AISIC`s. But hey im freaking jumping on this wagon and its going to cost a serious amount of money some time next year. This is what I love so much about this forum -- I learn so much -- almost every day!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Good Lord. I didn't think I would ever get a block. I live in Las Vegas, and just got back from my fav. casino, Texas Stations, playing Surf 'n' chicken. Use a different worker name for your separate rentals or your diff will be all over the place.

It would be be great to get all the players to gather and have a sit down. Who knows what could be accomplished. There are great rates on rooms just off the strip, I'm talking a block, 2 min. walk. The Fremont Street Experience 24/7 party down town not well known but HOT. There is a huge Asian presence here it could draw the bitmain dudes here, that would be fun. Could they resist? drop some BTC in the USA. Just a thought.

I've been away the whole day and have just come back to see this streak of blocks! That's the perfect evening news I guess)) Do the restarts really help so much? I have been mining here only for 2 months now but even I have noticed the sequence restart - blocks.

Block Party Monday! Gotta love it. Keep calm and mine on! And the restarts help with the block finding exactly as much as no restarts...

Is there a particular rental that is now gone that you know of? No its just a hint. Normal hash for the pool is 45PH or even a little lower, but then we peak when rentals hits to around 50-51PH and even 47-48PH. The most normal hash rate if you look at the history is 45PH for the last month. Going further back a couple of month it was 32PH and then 38-40PH when Rentals kicked in. Its pretty easy to see that when block generation time increases the pool hash decrease and when block generation time decrease, then suddenly hash rate jumps 3-5 PH. Right now we are on an up-going time, so hash decreases. See pic below.

LV is such a great place to be - great night life, great food, great casinos, great shows, etc. We should have a "kano pool miner conference" get together in LV. What say you Kano? Well I can always be there in spirit since the main server is there also
