Its crazy that with 2 > 200% diff blocks in the last five, and still darn near 100% for the last five.

Indeed the other 3 blocks in the last 5 were VERY good luck.
Lucky I didn't restart the pool Smiley

Heh - yeah of course it is random - and in this case even funnier that thedreamer found the block Smiley
Yay thedreamer Smiley

Luck of course isn't affected by restarts, long term luck is pretty consistent no matter what happens.

What a restart does is change the path the pool is on, since it changes the work a tiny bit that is being given out, but the next block could be sooner or it could be later because of a restart, but in neither case can you know in advance which it will be.
All you can say after a restart is to note the side effect it has had up to now, but not know the future effect it will have.

There is another change that will have this same effect of changing the path, every time someone adds or removes a worker.

Again, you can't pre-determine the effect, but it will have an effect.

Just wondering. going to use my earnings to purchase another miner LOL. Just need another 5 bucks worth. Then I will pointing another 1ths towards the pool.

Well I send them out soon after I can use the BTC from the block, 101 confirms.
But if I'm asleep - yep has to wait until I wake up Smiley
I often stay up an extra hour or 2 to do a payout, but if it ends up being after ~2am it usually has to wait.
These 2 will both certainly be during my awake hours Smiley

Wouhouuu!!  ub14 did it!  Proud of him.  I'm going to give him some attention tonight, he deserves it.  Wink

And I'm going to ask him to talk to my still-running S1's to hit a block on the solo pool.

So anyone want to guess on the price of the new SP50 from Spondoolie? I have emailed them for a price, but nothing back yet. I'm guessing 45-50K based on cost per gh and the S7 as a baseline. Anyone know more about this miner's cost? Its 1/3 more efficient then the S7 at .15j

I doubt it'll be under $75K to start. Besides it is only for 'Bulk Customers', so no single unit sales.

At that price I wonder what bulk order is, 10 units? 5 units? Anyone want to go in on 10 units, I know a guy in Venezuela that has space and power at .02 kw. Maybe form a investment club, 50K per unit and sell 50 units. All owners split the revenue after costs and in 12-18 months liquidate the hardware and distribute to all owners. This box is very profitable at .15j and power at .02kw

Just thinking out loud

I don't think this is the appropriate thread to discuss the SP50, but
All owners split the revenue after costs and in 12-18 months liquidate the hardware and distribute to all owners. This box is very profitable at .15j and power at .02kw
show me the ROI math.  I can't see the machine to be profitable in a year even with 2 cent power from the calculators I've tried.

I don't think the SP50 or the S7 will ROI before the halving...

Really depends on price, I did the math at 45K for the box, if its closer to the 75K, then you are correct on the ROI. Lets see if they reply to me on pricing or anyone for that matter. Checking with a few people I know that run 500+th farms to see if they have got any indication of price.

I don't understand why people complain about the ROI even at low power rates.

At $0.02 per KW, you are profiting on average $320.00 per month for each S7 (more if you rent out or use good pools and have good luck). Yes difficulty is going up, but even then, mine for 6 months, sell after than for at least 1/2 your cost and you've made a good Profit.
Difficulty will not be jumping up at a constant 10% which people seem to be panicking about. That's just absurd. If anything it will average out a few % per month over a year.

You've still made a bunch of money for absolutely no work, other than sit on your butt..

You have to recoup your initial "investment" (purchase price of hardware + psu) before you see any profit.  Even with 2 cent power (which is rare in and of itself) you won't see profit for over a year. That's why I mention ROI even at low power rates.  New hardware purchased at retail price just doesn't make any sense right now.
