Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function. Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

No reason to be jealous over the 30 these days. the power bill is not good. It is how many people transfer fiat to coin without much of a trail.
It astounds me "they" haven't came by wondering about the power usage yet. I figured by now they would have assumed I am growing pot and blown the door in at 5: AM. I read that did happen to someone, but the article did not mention who, anyone know?

LOL, hadn't heard about that one... wouldn't surprise me too much, though! Look up "smart grid meters" on Youtube... I'm pretty sure it's the future.

"They" don't look for high power usage, "they" look for cyclic power use that is commensurate with growing cycles (i.e. 12 hours on/12 hours off). So as long as you don't turn your miners off at night you should not draw "their" attention.

I mine 9-12 hours every day 10pm-7am (9 hrs, but longer if I'm slow to get around to walking down to the garage basement to switch them off ... which is common) * kano wonders when "they'll" arrive Payout 382694 sent e7f6e9a1026d2fd28b51c74f1eedd41380b7ddfa1c6f9c4c47141eca42c1e5e8 and confirmed

Just found this quote which relates to the power discussion: "The Canadian town of Mission, BC has a bylaw that allows the town's Public Safety Inspection Team to search people's homes for grow ops if they are using more than 93 kWh of electricity per day. There have allegedly been reports floating in IRC of two different cases of police showing up at a Bitcoin miner's residence with a search warrant. Ohio police and the DEA file at least 60 subpoenas each month for energy-use records of people suspected of running an indoor pot growing operation. DEA Agent Anthony Marotta said high electricity usage does not always mean the residence is an indoor pot farm and has surprised federal agents. 'We thought it was a major grow operation ... but this guy had some kind of business involving computers. I don't know how many computer servers we found in his home.'" source: http://idle.slashdot.org/story/11/05/24/1257229/increased-power-usage-leads-to-mistaken-pot-busts-for-bitcoin-minersI'm pretty sure there are ways to see when you are using power without a smart meter, but it definitely is not as straight-forward. So. Cal. Edison has switched all of its customers to smart meters.

I've had one for 3 or 4 years The reason I mine at night is that I have 'banded' elec costs. 10pm-7am is 9.26c AU (for me) which currently ~= 6.5c US (Weekday 2pm-8pm is 39.31c AU ... though it used to be more ) They use the smart meter to handle the billing (not sure if it's possible without a smart meter, but here they only do banded with a smart meter)

As a result, I also turn off (most of) my miners during the day, but turn 'em on when things cool down. I hope I don't fit some profile now...

I'd bet most of us with any considerable usage amount, meaning enough to stick out over the "normal" homes around us are probably on some list somewhere in some database for a checkup visit. I will welcome them in with a warrant, but they better have one. Nothing to hide but my pride wants to shine. ...Once they are in I will bore them for hours and hours about cryptocurrency facts, especially bitcoin. They will leave here out of time, and bored out of their minds. Of course, me thinking this way isn't a long stretch to believe "they" are putting colored dots on people's mailboxes if they are registered gun owners or have carry permits, but people are saying that is a thing. A bit more I've seen where people say they mark each one of those locations in a GPS and put that in a Federal database. People in rental cars pull in the driveway, do something on a phone or some device, and drive out. Now we can really get the tin foil hats made up and put on our heads. (Which would really make a better antennae before it would block anything haha)

the block needs 100 confirms before Kano will send payments out to miners. We are currently at 79 confirms. you should have it in a few hours. 100 block confirms usually takes 17 hours.
Kano personally releases all payments himself so sometimes it take a few extra hours if he is busy or sleeping. Dont worry, you will get your payment.

Dont worry, you will get your payment.
And your payouts will "ramp up" until you have been mining for the full 500%
