I'd sure like to see us hit another one before this diff increase (something like 2 hours now).

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

If your miner says it is seeing blocks every 2 or 3 minutes then you need to get the miner fixed.

Since you are mining at about 2-4GHs, you'd expect, on average, to find one block every ~2,500 years (at 4GHs)

The entire pool normally finds 1 block about every 2 days.

... though the hash rate at the moment is 3PHs so the whole pool would expect to find one, on average, every 1 day 5 hrs if it stays at 3PHs

If, on the other hand, you are referring to shares and not blocks, then you'd expect to find, on average, with 4GHs, only 1 share every 45 seconds.

The pool has a lower limit of 42 diff, which I will not be making any lower.

Edit: regarding your hash rate, the last comment is referring to that.
Since 4GHs would average around 45s per share, the variance at 1 minute would be VERY high.

4GH/s is also not enough to submit enough shares to qualify for more than 10,000 satoshi of the block reward, so with only that hash you will never receive a payout here.

Not quite ... as I've said before, and in most posts above, not until I add the payout accounting (in the far distant future in a galaxy far far away)
The balance isn't lost, it's there in your account, just not sent (yet).

Anyone who noticed, and wondered, about a small network problem at 2015-11-25 07:46:45 UTC?
Yeah the main server data centre seems to have lost a very small part of the internet for about 3 minutes.
Total hash rate that dropped off due to it, was about ~50THs, of the ~2450THs mining at the pool when it happened.
All back ok again by 07:50 UTC

You're right, I should have said they wouldn't see any payments until you implemented said code.  Hopefully by then bitcoin will be worth a lot more and make it worth the effort.  Cool

You wasn't trying to open an account with a public email like Hotmail was you? I noticed when I was signing up it didn't like Hotmail. When registering if you look above the field username that your trying to use you will notice an error message like "hotmail not allowed - please try again"

Go to the register page: https://www.kano.is/index.php?Register=1

In the middle section titled "Register" enter your desired username and email address (not an Hotmail address) and then type your desire password twice (see the password requirements underneath the password box)

Any problems and it should tell you in that box what went wrong. hopefully it should just work if you follow the password rules and not use a Hotmail address. If it doesn't work let us know what you did and what error message you get.

@ kano
The problem is i was not able to open an account
Then one of:
1) You entered an invalid username
It says on the web site you can't use a bitcoin address as a username
2) You entered a username similar to someone else's
 Pick a different username
3) You entered an invalid password
It tells you it was an invalid password, and says what is valid there on the web page
4) Your second password entered didn't match the first password entered
 It will tell you that
5) You entered an invalid email address
Try again with a valid email address ... and not hotmail

There's currently well over 2000 username accounts ... so I'm pretty sure the web site works Smiley
