Block 388647!
How did you get notified so fast? I always wonder about that, I get notified from my pool monitor, just curious what other people do? I just happen to have blockchain.info open on one screen while I was watching episode 1 of The Expanse on big screen. Kano CKPool stands out in the list when it pops up because it has a longer name than those "other" pools that keep popping up. That makes sense. I was pretty sure you posted before my monitor sent the email, so I was curious. I finally checked out your monitor...it is pretty cool!

With 9TH (2 S7 pointing for last 24 hrs). Earning after 24 hrs : 0.01886788 ?
My question remain same to get earning same as of PPS say f2pool ( 0.056 BTC) how may blocks need to find every day by considering 5PH as Pool power ?

After reaching 5N, and the pool stays at 5PH, we need to find 1.27 blocks each day, approximately, at present difficulty.

What happens is that your shares are paid (currently) over the 4 days after you submit them. So it takes 4 days for each share to be fully paid after you submit the share. That's the point of the explanation I added on the Help->Payouts page. You wont lose anything if you stop mining, you wont gain exrta payment of past shares by mining more. You will of course get more for the new shares though The point of the 5Nd is to lower the variance paid per share. Here: https://kano.is/index.php?k=payoutPPLNS acts like the reward 'ramps up' when you first start mining. What actually happens?
The 5Nd means it takes that long to reward your shares. The ramp isn't missing rewards, it's delaying them to reduce variance. Each share is rewarded in all the blocks found in the 5Nd after the share. That's simply how it reduces variance. Each share's reward is averaged out over the 5Nd after it. The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 4.93PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 3days.
Edit: oh looks like I better fix the calculation ... 3 days is wrong, it's 4 days

Wish I had read that link when you posted it earlier.
Thanks Kano.
EDIT: I'm finally understanding the 5N much better. Makes more sense now.

Also with regards to the answer to how many blocks as dmwardjr answered correctly for you: The blocks page itself has a table of statistics at the top. The pool pays 99.1% of the block rewards + txn reward to miners. Looking at that table, for the last 25 blocks the rewards have been 100.9% or tx reward of 0.9% + 25 BTC This means that if the pool luck was always 100%, the average PPS reward would be: 100.9% * 99.1% = 99.99% ... after taking out the pool fee of 0.9% Edit: I'd also have to subtract the expected orphan rate, but at the moment we don't really know how low it is It's definitely way under 1% Remember that if you mine PPS somewhere, you wont get 100% PPS, you need to subtract their fee from 100% So anyway, if they were paying 98% PPS, then our long term luck would need to be 98%/99.99% = 98% Our current 25 block luck is 115.16%, 10 block luck 109.24%, 5 block luck 108.84% So we have certainly been above 98% to match a pool paying 98% PPS However ... PPLNS is luck based, PPS isn't. So if you look at each and every block the pool finds and decide based on a bad set of blocks, you will think you are being paid less. If you look at only a few blocks and base your decision on a few good blocks, you will appear to be paid more. The history of luck also has no direct effect on future luck. What I can say without a doubt is that we are expected to have fewer orphans than other pools that don't SPV mine. Some pools that DO SPV mine are slower than kano.is Our block change time is VERY fast - but not quite as fast as solo.ckpool.org

Based on the pool hash rate, easier to think hours. Just repeating what has been said with do it yourself formulas. Pools total block solving hash power in blocks per day = (rate * 86400 * 65535 / ( difficulty * 2^48 ) Hours to solve a block in Excel sheet for 5PH @ current difficulty "=24/(5000*1000*1000*1000*1000*86400*65535/(79102380900*POWER(2,48)))" 18.9 Hours. Lucky if pool average less than that over 5 blocks. Pay out is distributed over 5 blocks 20% each = 3.8 days excel formula :: "=5/(5000*1000*1000*1000*1000*86400*65535/(79102380900*POWER(2,48)))" One of these two number should show dynamically at the top If you hash continuously you will see PPS like number on the fifth solved block. If you stop you will get payout for through next 5 block, slowly diminishing, with the last one being 1/5 of the PPS. 20%,40%,60%,80%,100%,100%,100%.....(stop hashing), 80%, 60%, 40%, 20%

Just fixed it now (it was displaying the days/hours wrong) It's actually: "The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 4.94PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 3days 23hrs" However, since it is in no way guaranteed to be accurate, I don't want it in the main page header. Also, the number of blocks isn't how you work it out since blocks don't appear every 100% It is simply the 5Nd value and that's the only accurate value -- Edit: and to show a good example of that inaccuracy I just processed the payout for 388591 The actual payout range: Elapsed Time 4d 8hr 6m 24s and of course if you look on the Account->Rewards page it says that also: 104hr 6m 24s The reason, well to get 5Nd shares it had to go back to when the hash rate wasn't 5PH -- Payout 388591 sent 5468dedb034110f002eb098a0e0dd8352202d3f93f6466b3c432ac52e27b0d79 but not confirmed yetand confirmed

If anyone happens to be the address miner 1cV14dNJmHd4NU55yuY9JU9NDToH4h8XH (that shows up on the stats page also) One or more of your miners has the address wrong ... an 'x' on the front that needs to be removed.

Yes, it is safe, there is nothing I can do with any of the information provided. Your username is already public on the stats page on Kano.is, and your API key only provides the address to get your hashrate and workers from Kano.is. I guess the only thing you are giving me is your email address, so I guess I could sell a list of emails to spammers I have about 40 active users and tracking about 530 Ths, the current hashrate on CKPool is about 4850 THs. So about 11% of the hashrate and 14% of the pool users are using my site. To all of you users of my site: Is anyone having any issues or see anything that would be unsafe? If you see anything that I should make safer let me know.
