It would be wonderful to have a traditional block Friday - and then a Super Saturday following that! (with potential network difficulty decrease  ) The network difficulty adjustment is an absolute certain negative some time late Friday or early Saturday. There are no longer enough blocks to go positive this jump. Philipma, may I know your prediction how much the drops?.. 2.5? |

Here we go...Block Friday has started!
Edit: Block by Virosa with 19THs...that should be a valid contest block and it looks like he hit it with an Avalon6! This is his first block at kano.is and it gets him listed on the Acclaim Board! It's a nice fat block with lots of transaction fees as well...sweet!

Edit: Block by Virosa with 19THs...that should be a valid contest block and it looks like he hit it with an Avalon6! This is his first block at kano.is and it gets him listed on the Acclaim Board! It's a nice fat block with lots of transaction fees as well...sweet!

I've been wondering what if all miners turn off in the difficulty adjustment day...and turn back afterwards...Will it go crazy low for a temporary days? Or there's a fix it can't go lower than certain amount? |

Not so much a fix but it is in the math. Diff adjust is based on last 2016 (actually 2015 but that's a different story...) blocks so you'd have to shut down a lot for an extended time to get a dramatic drop in diff. Interesting thought, tho!  |

As I'm sitting here pondering life as I'm getting ready to turn in for the night, I noticed the the past 6 times that shift elen has come up there has been a block either in the elen shift, the shift right before, or the shift right after 5 out of the last 6 times. That anime girl has been right in the thick of things for a pretty long stretch. She is the next shift due to come up right after darkchii...I'm just saying!

Okay, it looks like I called this on the nose...this latest block (which hit after I posted this) was in the elen shift again! That is 6 out of the last 7 times the elen shift has come up there was a block either in the elen shift, the shift right before, or the shift right after. The last 3 elen shifts in a row have actually hit blocks...this is almost a little creepy! |
