With growing support from leading companies such as Coinbase which are running various tests to evaluate the efficiency of Bitcoin Classic and the 2 megabyte Classic chain, it is highly likely that the Classic chain could co-exist with the core chain in the future. If this happens, wallet platforms and exchanges will support both chains and verify the transactions from the Core and Classic chains.

However, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong recently emphasized that historically, when a split chain occurred, the minority was eliminated in a matter of hours. Armstrong predicts that the same would happen for the Core chain if Classic becomes activated.

Antpool, the largest mining pool, just mined their first #bitcoin classic blockhttps://blockchain.info/block/000000000000000006968c648240001fd7d856f9732646763225b084f72404eb … - classic officially in production

Is this why we are having bad luck?

we are have bad luck because you are micromanaging luck in your head.

Never think small block count  ie
5 blocks
10 blocks
25 blocks    are all too small

  you need to look at 50 blocks or more  and what is the luck for

50   =   Last 50 Blocks   12.3days   101.4%   97.97%   98.03%   0.4630   102.01%   looks like good luck
100 =  Last 100 Blocks   27.0days   101.4%   97.12%   97.47%   0.4122   102.60%   looks like good luck
250 = Last 250 Blocks   12.3wks   101.2%   89.60%   88.28%   0.0281   113.27%   looks like good luck

now to be fair if those go under 100%  that is bad luck.

Now to be honest I would love to see hashrate drop to 20ph or even 15ph  because I am not leaving and if we drop to 20ph my next payout will be bigger.

I came back here and have said think in 100 block shots. So That is what I am doing.

I quote myself  as I want to explain rental moves for players.

never over pay

go to:

 https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

punch in 10 th  this diff .003175

would be a breakeven pay price in a fee less nicehash system

since fees as 3.01 to 3.5%     and kano luck is 105.96%

 you can pay 0.0032 max for this session.

next  if you plan to rent realize short bigtime rentals give less time for kanos's 105.96%  600 plus block record to kick in.

Yeah I know let me rent 1ph for 5 hours and hope for a hot streak  sounds good it is not.

 200th for 25 hours is the correct play.  BTW is also give you a shot at the avalon6 prize.

I actually like to do   a 2 to 4 day rental session. in the 50-75th range  more then a 200th or more shot,.

Im new and been mining here since i started. I have been considering renting some hash from nh. As Phillip explained the play should be 200th for 25 hours. How much approximatly would that cost. I understand the different pricing  at nh also. Im looking for a few more miners if anyone has any forsale. I enjoy the pool and i think i will be staying here.

The 200Th was an example. The takeaway is that you're generally better off with lower Th and higher duration than higher Th and shorter duration (for a given spend).

What just happened our rate went from 30ph to 21ph at that block?
There was a network failure between the main server and some of the internet.
Seems to have affected some of asia and some of europe - the DE server lost connection with the main pool also.
Edit: It lasted a few minutes so anyone affected by it will have failed over.

We actually got the block after the failure occurred, since I didn't actually see the block appear, my connections were all down.
Anyway, all good, awaiting confirm, and no sign of any other blocks near it Smiley
Oh and very nice high almost 3% txn fees in it.
Well done AGRA1X

I have all the data now, just working on getting it into the DB, then I can run a few stats with a lot more data to check on a few miners ...
Then I'll send the outstanding ones ... possibly with a miner or two removed Tongue

there are dozens of versions of bitcoin software, all of which are in production:

core will reject classic 2mb.   classic will accept core 1mb, can and does generate core 1mb block.
at the current pace, anyone tossing out a classic 2mb block will be the minority chain, and will be eliminated in a matter of hours.

i always wonder what kind of checks are in place.   if someone tosses out a rogue 2mb block, antpool is kind of screwed.

Nonsense

wolfen.  This is strange, we are both right!

When I go to http://bitmain.com and click on their link to buy a S7 batch 8, the price is 2.49 btc or $1,031.31

When I go to http://bitmaintech.com, as you said, the price there is $1.607 btc or $665 for a batch 12 to be shipped on March 19.

Is http://bitmain.com some type of scam site?  I wonder.  This is strange.  I'm not really in the market to buy a S7 right now.  I have
several and many are not running 100%.

Buyer beware.

Tom

When their website works.  I checked a couple days ago and their price was over $1000.

I still can't figure out why someone would pay $800+ for an S7 on eBay when you can get a brand new one from Bitmain for less. When I ordered mine, it took less than a week to arrive here in the U.S. No problems with customs, etc. Very smooth and easy. You could probably do pretty well buying a bunch from Bitmain and turning them around on eBay.
Last s7 price I saw was $650 on bitmaintech
