would be interesting to see what brand/speed of miners are finding the blocks for the pool for the month and overall. would be interesting to see if there is a trend if one brand/speed of miner finds more blocks on Kano vs another.

As I'm sitting here pondering life as I'm getting ready to turn in for the night, I noticed the the past 6 times that shift elen has come up there has been a block either in the elen shift, the shift right before, or the shift right after 5 out of the last 6 times. That anime girl has been right in the thick of things for a pretty long stretch. She is the next shift due to come up right after darkchii...I'm just saying!
Okay, it looks like I called this on the nose...this latest block (which hit after I posted this) was in the elen shift again! That is 6 out of the last 7 times the elen shift has come up there was a block either in the elen shift, the shift right before, or the shift right after. The last 3 elen shifts in a row have actually hit blocks...this is almost a little creepy! This is epic ! Thoses shifts stats are quite fun to look into. Maybe we should make a chart starting from the very first one completed. Of course kano has already done this...I don't know if it's been updated recently... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg13692770#msg13692770

Noob question..... What is CDF?
Cumulative Distribution Function (CDF)...it shows the probability that a block will be found after a given number of submitted shares. The faster the block is the smaller that number gets... I believe it's also used as a pool safety check mechanism. Like flipping quarter and looking for a tail. Getting two heads in a row is not uncommon. Actually pretty normal. After 5-6 flips, your CDF approaches 1, where you should have hit at least one tail by now. It will never reach 1, but after 10 flips CDF approaches very close to 1, as a safety mechanism you (or pool owner) start analyzing if you're flipping a rigged double-sided/defective quarter. Sounds like you're the sort of person I'd liked to have had for a student when I taught stats/research methods in grad school. Nicely put.

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

Block by pt0x! This puts him on the Acclaim Board with his first kano block! Edit: At 287THs on the Pool Stats page makes it too close to call for high CDF in the contest...we await Kano's determination for this one

Block by pt0x! This puts him on the Acclaim Board with his first kano block!
It also might give him highest CDF depending on his redline.

like wolves to an injured goat. its funny to see the reactions from people based just on current hash rate. Perhaps its rental power for the day.
times running out to get more for today. gotta pack in those last blocks. hopefully the diff change will be down.

The difficulty will change in 20 Blocks, there isn't enough hashrate to raise the difficulty, it will decrease slightly this change.

.. and he's said he's happy to leave the Avalon6 to smaller miners, so I've not added him to the list. Also he'd be 3rd from the bottom so probably not a winner anyway

Kano, you can add my names to the list as well. I would rather a smaller miner enjoy the prize. That would be bladex and bladez

We need a proper Block Friday to make up for the slow blocks lately. OK Edit: and cryptichermit is the new low score CDF record for the month with a red line of ~116THs Edit2: OMFG - that was an almost 1 hour network block! Great txn fees coz of that. 0.912639 BTC in txn fees. Edit3: so the network diff will change in 10 blocks ... adding a 1hr block in there helps make it an even better negative diff change! Edit4: updated the block CDF list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg8895607#msg8895607
