KanoPool since 2014 🐈 - PPLNS and Solo 0.5% fee - Worldwide - 2438 blocks

---NOOB QUESTION---

I started mining with Kano back on Jan 22 with a single Antminer S9 (13.5TH). This is my first miner. I was fine with ramp up and from reading this forum, it looks like the miner was running fine (5,069,415,369 shares).

My S9 passed away this morning and will be heading back for RMA. 

My question is around payout. I have the link to https://kano.is/index.php?k=payout 

Given the apparent bad luck since Jan 22, can I expect any payout from the time my machine was online with Kano (18d)? I am not asking anyone to predict future luck (if this matters), so lets presume average luck for the next 4 blocks for the sake of conversation. I don't know how long it will take Bitmain to get the unit back to me; so I can't estimate when I will re-join the pool or if that even factors into the question.

You won't receive anything until WE find a block.   

You would receive a payout from any block we hit over the next 13days 10hrs with each one getting smaller as you reach the end of the ramp down.

You will continue to get a share of whatever we find while you are ramping down. If we do not find a block within the next 2 weeks (approx. ramp down) you will get no payout.

I am new to mining and was wondering about the ramp up process in KanoPool.

Does each miner need to ramp up individually or is your account that ramps up so that when you add more miners later there is no ramp up period for those machines?

Each miner's shares count separately, so individual 'ramp'.

Your hashrate that is used to compute your payout -whether it comes from miners that have been mining for years or those just turned on - is always based on aggregate over the last N shifts.  

If you power one off and at the same time power a brand new one on so as to keep your hashrate the same at the pool, your computed payout stays the same as well.

If you currently hash at "X", and add another "Y", then you'll endure the PPLNS-shift going from "X" to "X+Y".
If you currently hash at "X", and remove "Y", then you'll endure the PPLNS-shift going from "X" to "X-Y".

If you remove all your miners, then substitute "X" for "Y" in the above, and you'll experience the PPLNS-shift going from X to 0.
