I am now at KANO with ~250 th/h and so far I dont see any advantage to slushpool.
I get ~0.0079 bitcoin for a block found ~2 days at kano with 250 th/s
I get ~0.0250 bitcoin every day for n blocks with 150 th/s
so what's the point on staying at kano? Or do I just have to wait to get more % share of the network after these "7 days and 10 hours" ?
Can't happen over night mate. You have to be patient. Ditto!!! Once you get that "paid by the day" out of your mind, and let the reality of the ACTUAL rewards settle, you'll understand it. Try to think of it as a Regular paycheck. When I go to work, I get paid on Friday. Not every day. The ramp will be over before you know it, and your percentage will be much, much better. Be strong!!! Purge that Corporate filth from your mind!!! Ha!!! sure, i'll wait and compare within the next few weeks.

A better comparison would be a couple of months (because of luck), but the large miners who have been here for a while will certainly confirm that overall profits are better here than anywhere else. Mine on!

I figured this much out...Statistically you are better off joining Kano during a bad luck period. It would almost benefit you to get through the "ramp up" while the pool goes through "long blocks" so the when the worm turns your hard work pays off. Counter intuitive to all of us, but that kinda how it works. Also if you were to have an outage during a high luck period you would still earn.

I mined here for a month, and then left near the end of Feb because I thought the pool was dying, and went to slush. Once you are fully ramped (7-8 days'ish right now) your will get bigger payouts. And when you turn your miners off, you will still get payouts for a little while, due to the ramp up/down. Kano put in his own coin, doubled the pool size, and variance is better. Stick it out and it will be worth it, I wish I had not left, but am glad I'm back. Plus the group here is pretty nice. As a tiny, single machine miner, I still make quite a bit more here. I'd like to add another 841, but they are pretty expensive compared to an S9 with a $400 coupon. (If anyone has a coupon cheap, I promise to point everything here!).

On your 'rewards' page, do those rewards for those blocks have a red asterisk? If you were below the dust level they don't get paid out right now.

You didn't have a payout address set - as I said in PM. They are now part of your dust to be paid out in the future.

Mine on! thank you! well, waiting months for the same income as on slush would mean lots of lose - days/weeks are alot in crypto, if ill get 60% less as on slush for the first 4-6 weeks that would mean it's a high risk..

Does anyone have the new Dragonmint 16T miner running yet?
I see where they are available on Ebay so guessing someone has a few running?
Initial thoughts on Hash Rate, Noise, and power consumption? Are they worth the money for the extra 3TH over the S9?
Great deals out there on the new S9's if you have the $420 coupon...
Any feedback would be appreciated?

... well, waiting months for the same income as on slush would mean lots of lose - days/weeks are alot in crypto, if ill get 60% less as on slush for the first 4-6 weeks that would mean it's a high risk..
The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 132.67PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 6days 14hrs currently. You will not be getting less for weeks or months like you said. You just need a refresher on how 5Nd works. The bottom line is all pools over time get the expected number of blocks (100%) and it's the pool fees and transaction fees that determine how much the miner gets. Slush charges 1.1% more in fees than Kano does. You will get your full pay based your your shares but it will be spread out over the 5Nd (6days 14hrs) and not all at once. You don't lose anything. My take on a post from Kano a long while back: The 5Nd "ramp" means it takes that long to reward your shares. It's not a punishment and the ramp isn't missing rewards, it's delaying them to reduce variance. Each share is rewarded in all the blocks found in the 5Nd after the share. That's simply how it reduces variance. Each share's reward is averaged out over the 5Nd after it. How do the PPLNS payouts work? The 5Nd "ramp" means the pool rewards 5 times the expected number of shares each time a block is found. So each share will be paid approximately 1/5 of it's expected value in each block it gets a reward, but each share is also expected, on average, to be rewarded 5 times in blocks found after the share is submitted to the pool. So, on the 1st block the pool hits when you start on Kano you get rewarded 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for that block. On the 2nd block the pool hits you get 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 2nd block plus 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 1st block. On the 3rd block the pool hits you get 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 3rd block plus 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 2nd block plus 1/5 of the value of the shares you submitted for the 1st block. It goes on and on like that until all of the value of the shares you summitted are paid in full. That's also how you would continue to get payouts for the 5Nd ramp down period after you leave this pool. This is a simplistic view of the 5Nd payout model because the it is also affected by luck. If pool luck was always 100% then each share is expected to be rewarded 5 times. If pool luck is better than 100%, then the average share reward will be more than 5 times. (Love it when it hits 10-12 times!) If pool luck is worse than 100%, then the average share reward will be less than 5 times. The 5Nd really helps you out if your miners go down for a couple of hours or are down for a day. You would continue to be rewarded if the pool hits a block while you were down. I've seen pools where you would get nothing out of a block if you were down for just an hour or so when the block was hit.
