I really like that minera interface. I have been up and running for a day and a half using the BE controller and bfgminer 4.10 as a proxy to run the pool of my choice without any problems besides user error setting it up after moving it. Thanks CrazyGuy for fixing my user error. I have two fans per unit on a fan controller and also a box fan pushing air up from under them after I looked at those pictures of that burnt board. I would love to try minera and turn off the setup I have going with bfgminer as a proxy, although working well, very well to be honest, id like to use this RPI and give my main pc a break. Have the USB to uart adapters shipped out yet?
Yes, I shipped them all first class on Saturday. I expect most of you will be receiving them tomorrow or Wednesday.

I got the USB adapters and moved everything over (3 Prismas) to the RPi with CrazyGuys fork of Minera this morning, it's been up now for 5 hours with no issues.
Back to mining at Eligius by the way.

I've got Minera running on my rPi now, but I can't seem to get it to save settings or start mining. I had my Prisma running on the BE controller earlier today, so I presume I'm doing something wrong on the Pi. Any thoughts?
I checked the SD to make sure it wasn't write-locked, and moved the UART to the other USB slot, just to see. Still nothing.
Cheers.

Are you using my image or manual install? Cgminer main branch or ASICMiner branch? Try shelling in as minera and run screen -r to attach to the cgminer instance. Make sure there aren't any errors. If the screen session doesn't exist, maybe cgminer is failing to start. You can always try kicking it off from the command line to see if it returns any errors.

also with minera you have to select 1 of those altcoin things when you first try to save it drops you to a list just pick 1 and it will let you make changes

Thanks again Crazy since switching to PI on the wifi been running awesome For those trying to save pool settings on first use in Minera when you click save and restart miner it doesn't appear to do anything just drops you down in the gui about 1 screen look at table, you must select one of those choices as it says you must do to basically initiate minera after that you can make any changes you need

CrazyGuy's Minera RPi image is the way to go with the AM Prisma. Especially if you have more than 1 unit. I had very little issues with a single Prisma on a BE Controller used in conjunction with BFG proxy. As soon as I added my 2nd Prisma - I had nothing but issues. 2 units wouldn't hash for more than 1hr - 1hr15min, had a hashboard that refused to hash 90% of the time. The only way I could get 2 units to hash half way reliably was to run the 2nd unit with 3 hashboards - the other hashboard would cause the BE Controller to "freakout". Even with running 7 hashboards - I still experienced wide variations in the poolside hashrate. This morning I moved the 7 board setup to CG's Minera RPi. Started hashing great; poolside hashrate very solid & consistent (still varies a bit but nowhere like it did on the BE Controller). Efficiency/Reject rate has dropped from 6.25% + to less than 4.15%. When I got home this evening I connected the 8th hashboard, after a little over 2.5hrs the unit stopped hashing - 1 indicator poolside was a drop in work difficulty (same reflected by cgminer and when on BE Controller); had seen this before with the BE Controller - the controller & Minera both still showed normal poolside hashrate - but the pool showed the unit dropping down to 0 hashrate. But this time Minera Acepted/Rejected/Errors graph showed the drop also (not sure why it still reflected the poolside hashrate). What I did to get around this on the BE Controller was to use a pool port set for difficutly 2048 (for S4), doing this seemed to correct this issue with BE Controller, and now also with the Minera RPi. It's like the Prisma doesn't handle vardif very well when more than 1 unit. Since changing to a fixed difficulty the 8 boards have been hashing for over 4hr40min https://i.imgur.com/wN1PfEr.png

That's great, I'm glad the rpi is fixing most of your issues. I still have a couple units running fine off of a BE controller but I have a lot of air passing over it.

I switched to the Rpi minera and only 1/4 boards was hashing. Literally took off the power supply, re-daisy chaned, re dip switched, put back on Rpi and then no boards hash. So went back to BE controller, it sees all the boards 1-4/17-20 but will not hash if pointed to Ghash or BTC guild. So I did handles out, still no dice. Ummm, I'm at a loss. These things have warranty?

I have two setup already, I hope my adapters arrive today as I'm using the BE controller with bfgminer as a proxy to hash on a different pool. Are you going to hook it up to the rpi first? I really would like to get two more but I'm not sure how many the pi can handle. I always look forward to your posts as you're very good at documenting everything and showing us pictures of your setup in the process. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Any word when the GB will open again?
