New Permanent IC Conversion TableOur scientists have finally figured the perfect formula for IC conversion, so that it does not need to be changed weekly. The
Permanent table will be prominently displayed now in this thread, and soon in the game itself. IC will be possible to be used to gain many items from the international trade.
If you want to exchange your IC for these items, the command is as follows:
CONSUME IC amount [note]It is important to have the square brackets [ ]. The "note" is the tell for the admins what you want to be converted from the IC. If there is no note, it is treated as a donation. Please use the notes from the official list to avoid ambiguity. We will automatize the system soon, after which only the correct notes will gain you the items.
CATEGORIES (WILL BE AMENDED WHEN MORE THINGS ARE INTRODUCED)WINESThe French Wines are international renown (and the Germanians are the runner-up). When wines comes to initial market, they are cheap, but Town will add 10,000 m tax at some point afterwards to the then-existing stock. This can only be done once, so every further conversion after the taxation will be tax-free. Conversion prices in the aftermarket go up. Currently available are the following post-plague wines (pre-plague cannot be had any more):
W1611 2/IC (note:
W1611)
W1614 3/IC (note:
W1614)
W1612 4/IC (note:
W1612)
W1616 6/IC (note:
W1616)
W1615W 6/IC (note:
W1615W)
When a wine ends up on this list, it can only drop out once. After that it cannot be reintroduced. The price can only be 12, 6, 4, 3, 2 or 1 bottles per IC. The price can never go down, only up. Town will take its tax cut when it is expedient (at GM discretion). The taxation will per se not affect the conversion.
SPIRITSSpirits are not converted from IC because they are a Town racket to raise cash.
SILVERThe basic premise of silver conversion is "you get fixed grams per IC". This has been as large as 32 grams in the very ancient times and now is 2 grams. When we are talking about imported items (wholly paid with IC), the price of silver has risen to be so large as to overshadow the manufacturing cost. So it is possible to simplify the things and use the following formulae for determining the IC price of silver items, whatever kind (assuming silver is the main raw material):
TS16x Silver Coins = no premium (note:
TS162)
<- note that since the coin is 12 CKS, the IC must be divisible by 6!!Elaborate items = 1 IC/instance + 5%
Most Elaborate items = 2 IC/instance + 10%
Very Elaborate items = 4 IC/instance + 20%
Silver items are to be made realistic size. If you want to make a solid silver tray for instance, their weights range in the real world from 500 g to several kilos. A single soup spoon weighs 50-60 CKS. Silver jewelry is an interesting possibility as it does not need to be more than a few grams and is thus affordable even in very elaborate quality.
Previously Town taxed incoming TS-silver coins in kind (as a % of the coins). This has been streamlined such that 20% of their
value is taxed instead and since IC value is 100,000 m/IC (regardless of the market value), the tax per such a coin is 0.6 mil. This will be collected when the conversion period ends, ie. in 1630 next time. If silver/IC rate changes in the meantime, the loss in on the Town.
SWORDS(original error is corrected)The troubles in foreign lands have prompted us to reintroduce Swords to the game. (item: Sword and the skill: Swordsmanship, will in later releases be an important personal skill and you get a bonus by starting now.) Due to neglect of the sword making in the Kingdom, proper swords are Imported.
The formula to calculate the level and price of a new sword is as follows:
- Define the parameters
- Add the points
- The number of points will determine your sword level and price
- For backdating (to 1600 the earliest), add 3% for each year to the cost
Parameters1. Size of the Sword (1=dagger, 2="dress sword", 3=longsword)
2. Imported (1 always)
3. Elaborate (Refers to appearance: 0=None, 1=Elaborate, 2=Most Elaborate, 3=Very Elaborate
4. Powerful (Refers to all qualities forming the battle value) 0=No, 1=Powerful, 2=Most Powerful, 3=Very Powerful)
5. Base level/cost (2 always)
Additional rules1. A sword must be at least 1 point in either Elaborate or Powerful.
2. If a sword is Very Elaborate or Very Powerful, and simultaneously at least 1 point in the other attribute, get 1 point discount in price while the level stays the same.
3. If the character commissioning the sword has never owned a sword in the game, get 1 point discount in the price while the level stays the same. (This bonus may end without warning as the campaign ends.)
With these formulas, it is possible to create K5-K10 swords starting at 10 IC (a K3 dagger for a previous non-owner).
As you can see, some combinations cause the sword to exceed the allowed range of item levels (K10) and are thus disallowed.
There is only one K10 sword in existence in the game, TMA Sword of Mario from 1462.
ARTART-items are in levels K7-K10 only and thus cost a minimum 100 IC + possible backdating.
Special: PARTICIPATE IN THE "SILVER OBELISK"Consume IC with the note [obelisk] or silver-containing items with the note [obelisk] for a limited time to get your name to the base of the Closing Obelisk located in the midpoint of the Trust in Economy Square between House of Magnificence (north), Duke of OZ North African Palace (south), Hall of Justice (west) and Clocktower (east). The IC and silver will be used for decorating the Obelisk.
PRACTICALITIESThe admins Sir Mooo and Lord Syksy will make the conversions as follows:
- Mooo responsibility is all the generic items, for which the item code is clearly indicated in the [notes]. He will check the situation in a frequent basis meaning there should not be more than 48 hours delay to get the items.
- Syksy will NEW and CREATE the unique items (including swords). For this to happen, you need to inform him beforehand what you are up to and use the [notes] provided by him.
LOOKUP TABLE THAT SHOWS THE CORRELATION OF ITEM LEVEL AND ITS "BASE COST" IN ICIn case of Swords, it is possible to get up to 2 price levels of discount with the item level staying the same as explained under Swords.
In case of Silver, all IC spent on the material cost and premiums is taken into account when determining level.
Backdating does not benefit in determining level.
Level is always rounded down, eg. K7=100-199 IC
K1 = 1 IC
K2 = 2 IC
K3 = 5 IC
K4 = 10 IC
K5 = 20 IC
K6 = 50 IC
K7 = 100 IC
K8 = 200 IC
K9 = 500 IC
K10 = 1000 IC
It is considered a good practice to donate a few IC (or anything else) to the person doing the conversion for you. You can use the command:
GIVE IC 3 Mooo [Thanks for W1612! ] when thanking for staple items, or
GIVE IC 10 Syksy [Thanks for sword! ] when thanking for unique items.
