Wait - a - moment !!

So far we have been laboring with the drink situation. And it has not even appeared to us that:

The only drink in existence, which still contains the water from the two springs - the Liquid of Immortality - is the historical vodka, VOH!

It is difficult to ascertain whether the effect is still there or not, and how large it is, and the vodka tastes only somewhat better than the current one -

- nevertheless Tavastia has speculated and bought up Roopatra's trading stock. (And listed it for sale at double the price.)

Added. And your drink plan is updated to "V", which means that vodka is your usual drink, and if there is not enough (168 bottles per week), then beer is consumed instead.

I gave 10 bottles of VOH, the historical vodka, for tasting as well.


Would be extremely pleased that the other admins would do such things as this, so that there would be a possibility for me to concentrate on pushing the game forward - you know - design and development!! Charge it from the town if that's the issue..

The grapes have gone bad both in 1600 and 1601. The workers have dutifully tried a third time in the hostile climactic conditions. 830 bottles of wine, grown and made in Old Town, have been able to be produced. Initial tasting shows that while everything turned out well this year, it just does not make sense to produce wine with a low yield and average quality.

The Most Ancient and Worshipful Corporation of the Town Hall announces a silver giveaway:

A silver ring weighing 3 CKS to the 130 first players to register in the Online version and reach the level 3: Freeman. These rings are made in 1585.

(CKS/silver is a luxury resource in Crypto Kingdom, and it is much more rare than CKG/gold - only 70,000 g is estimated to exist after the Ancient era conversion is finished. Because silver is mineable, and it does not pay dividends, the value per CKS is likely only a fraction of CKG, though.)

This is now becoming true, as all the NON-Ancient characters who fulfill the condition have been gifted this ancient item (THS1). First 12 rings have been gifted.

Helpful tip for all of those who are new to the game.  Risto likes to give out hints, and those who read and process them will get a leg up in the game (e.g. make sure you drink to your health or risk unknown consequences!). About 6 days and we will migrate our Characters, Lots, Buildings and Items to the Ultima platform and start trading there. From that on, googleDB will be used only for activities that are not yet in the Ultima platform, but the authoritative bookkeeping will be there.

Player accounts

All characters will be tried to be contacted using the method how they have originally entered the game. Care will be used in authentication, and imposters will be rejected, so do not try to contact us - we will contact you!

Unclaimed player accounts will be given to wealth managers who will charge from their services according to Town rates. If the account is still unclaimed after 12 months, it will be swept by the Town and the money spent in marketing.

Database changes

The GoogleDB is undergoing very many changes as it is prepared for migration, but the main functions will be usable unless there is a text in red paint telling otherwise.

SCI added to owners of SPEcialists, MGR-5, MGR-4, BUT-9, BUT-8

Many have noticed that the Army owners got their reward in the form of WIA35, and restaurant owners in the form of VOH. Now the rest of the NPC's get their reward as about 2,500 SCI points have been given, most of them to SPE owners. From now on until Ultima is in better shape, the NPC's will be tradable as items, will not incur salary, and will reassume their roles as workers when the economic subgames start again.

There is this theory that the VOH would be much more healthy because it has the life-giving water from pre-earthquake times. But personally I did not notice much difference in taste, but then again my vodka consumption is only 14 bottles per year and that only in mixed drinks....

Unallocated CKG is erased tomorrow by smelting

We have come to the nice situation that we are able to make gold 100% allocated in the same way silver already is. Therefore, gold objects will always have a form, and they can be traded based on weight, again the same way.

Existing unallocated gold will be minted to bulk coins and bars, bearing the year 1602, automatically, against a token mint charge. The Royal Mint will be built first of course.

Remodeling your gold will not require IC in the future - it can be done against a very modest goldsmith fee. Gold is indestructible, so any amount of remodeling does not make a gram disappear.

New Player Housing

The time has come for the Church to help provide affordable housing to the masses. As part of our mission to help those in need and care for the homeless, we have built a large number of very tidy houses in 4-NW, in the Church borough. These are all within walking distance to a 400+ sqm public park, and have a decent size garden on the property. Each 10m by 10m lot contains a house with terrace, and is being sold at cost!

These houses are reserved for those that are new to the game, and there is a limit of 2 properties per player. If you are a character that is level 3 or below, you are allowed to purchase these homes. Anyone at higher levels has the means available to buy a more suited property.

6m moneritos is all you need to start your life in borough 4.  At the time of this writing, all of the houses in yellow are for sale. See the below image:

1602 Dawns

Oh, how the time moves slowly compared to the Ancient years...

The Year-Change procedures will happen during the next some hours, and will be added to this post upon completion.

Gold dividends
The record amount of 6,000 mil has been given. According to our new yearly (real-week) profit calculation, this is 0.85%. For comparison, the latest Town long bond was at 1.15%. (We will postpone the issuance of the next long bond until 1605, which provides a bond round every 5 years with the duration of 50 years.)

Rental pool payouts
One share gave 9,000 as a payout. Also the guarding fees and 1-SE chapelry extra taxes were collected for the first time after the break. Guarding fees were as usual stolen by the town and not given to the Army commanders (due to the NPC's in the army not getting paid...)

RWWC happenings and dividends
RWWC gave 300,000 per share as a dividend, which is specially remarkable because it built a new factory as well during the last year.
It has produced 3,500*WIRS and set their price at 420,000 m for everyone, 140,000 m for special quota - the buildings listed in the following:

The RWWC is contemplating whether to add yet another production facility. For logistical reasons it is good to be located near the existing ones, but it would require reshaping the 2-W chapelry. In 1601, the window area needed for new construction alone, notwithstanding the replacement of the earthquake damages, was 3,801 sqm.

NewCorp quarry operations have started
The Corp now has stone for sale in New City, University and San Pietro - price is 150 m/stone except in San Pietro where we ask 155 m/stone due to rationing. (Our direct cost of production was 122 m/stone due to ramp-up costs. The indirect cost is way higher since the Corp is withholding 9 chapelries from the building market and thus forgoing the dividends.)

THC (Town Housing Corporation) greetings
THC mission is to provide low-cost high-return housing (the kind that many have now started to offer in earnest) in the borders of the inhabited area. When the town expands, the run-down buildings are sold to be development material for developers. THC houses are currently without windows but in good areas, and contain a lot of stone, so check out for the prices and buy yours! THC will resume yearly dividends soon.

Gold itemization
Our new mint has an invention called a coin press, which allows us to inflate the money supply at will!   Just kidding... But what it does allow, is that it can for the first time produce gold coins in 1 CKG size (previous limit 3 CKG). So all the unallocated gold will be turned to these coins, as well as CR-coins and larger bars, and all marked 1602.

In the future, the new gold will appear in the new A-coins ("A" denoting the size of 1 CKG). If other denominations are wanted for collector purposes, the Mint is happy to smelt your bars and make the coins. The only way to get the future year A coins is via playing or aftermarket. It currently requires 17 hours of online time to get 1*CR1603A, so it is possible that they might gain collector value quickly as the only opportunity to gain them is next week.

The Town has realized that it does not make sense to collect the minting fees for this week's project, as the fees are prorated to the owners of the Town   So the service is free instead.  

The Round Table gave 2*CR1524E to all the Knights to avoid the forced smelting.

Stoneton smelted half of its lot of 50 undistributed collectors' coins (ST1600C). The rest will undoubtedly be more valuable due to rarity and history

Please check your new 100% allocated gold balance in the /CKG_COINS tab! If you trade with the coinshop, for now you will need to move both the items in /CKG_COINS and the "gold" in /T_GOLD, but this will not last for many days, apologies for the inconvenience!
