This thievery is not chump change. A lot of people have been hurt.

Send *polite* email, tweets, facebook, snailmail, etc. to any of his family, friends, employees, school teachers, and acquaintances  that can be located.  Tell them what has happened and urge them to persuade the thief to return money.  

Pressure can be applied without harassment or threats.

+1 on that.......the best way to get this situation sorted is to keep calm, and get organised.
I've lost nothing (well, 0.2BTC or so, so not a lot) in the MintPal/Moolah scam, but this sort of shit scares people away from all crypto, as well as hurting crypto community members directly.
This may be the Wild West, but guys like this Ryan character (or Mark K, etc...) need to be tracked down using the law, not vigilante action on a forum.

I'd suggest that everyone whos been affected by Moolah/MintPal get together, appoint some spokespeople, make a list of people who have lost out and who are willing to go into a UK courtroom to prove it, then raise some funds and get in touch with a good UK lawyer to take Ryan on, preferably one with a background in crypto.

Lots of reporting Ryan to the cops will possibly be useful, but I think the only way to get Ryan into a courtroom will be a private prosecution for funds recovery, I can't see the police going to the effort of prosecuting him themselves, unless there is an organised group with legal representation pushing the case forward.
Don't forget this is crypto, what seems simple to us is voodoo for the man in the street, incuding police and lawyers.

Let me clarify. It appears @MintPalExchange (Ferdous and Michael, or Torihiki Ltd) have recovered the wallets for FLT, KARMA, MIN, XCR, XMR, FAIR, SUPER, TES. However, it appears Ryan is the only one with access to the requested withdrawals and User Notes. If Ryan will give @MintPalExchange access to V2 withdrawal requests and User Notes, withdrawals will be processed for FLT, KARMA, MIN, XCR, XMR, FAIR, SUPER, TES according to @MintPalExchange.

We are continuing to process withdrawals, the people who have take over the MintPal Twitter account have no current association with it. Please be wary of engaging with them, Torihiki LTD passed a resolution giving up control of MintPal Limited in full.

I reacted very angrily. I refused to hand over anything. His response, was that he was contacting the local police station, and would sue me. My response? “Do it”.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ryan is demanding for @MintPalExchange to give him the wallets so he can process the withdrawals.

at the end of the day this is my take, there is one person who could have avoided the whole situation. I believe your efforts should be focused to the parties that CAUSED this situation.  It's unfortunate that people target family members, now don't let that cloud the fact that people can't afford dinner, people lost life savings, people actually have lives that are completely wrecked from this, and the pain caused to hundreds of people, from the cowardly act of stealing all of these funds (from a loyal community, and a fucking charity) has already FAR exceeded anything that could even happen to them. It's not okay, right.  There are a few things that aren't okay here, and they could have all have been avoided.  I feel no sympathy for this occasion.  And as a matter of fact, the amount of suicide tweets I have seen, that have been un addressed by some of the parties accountable (who are actively tweeeting) shows the amount they give a fuck as well.
