Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

What about the other coins? Individual lawsuits for each person costing $10000 each? Have you filled actionfraud.police.uk? I have now. But Ferdous Ahmed / Torihiki LTD has my XMR, so it's very complex. Unfortunately as Ryan has the database, they don't know who should have what. Ryan left those wallets to die, now he wants them back so he can 'send everyone their coins'. I'm sure you can understand their reluctance to want to do that.

Ferdous is trying to do the right thing here, trust him- the other party here is trying to make things infinitely more difficult for the coins to be returned, and possibly "lose" even more coins in the process!

I am fairly certain that all v1 accounts were migrated to v2. If you have not logged into v2 subsequent to the update, you will need to reset your password before you are able to login. Start with this link - http://blog.moolah.io/2014/09/23/mintpal-v2-deployment/and then review newer blog posts there, until you are caught up. are they gone? i've never used v2 only logged onto it a few day's ago to check my coins, so are my coins on the v1 system? ??

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

I am a previous employee of the company. I have been in touch with several solicitors and various agencies on this. I am not involved with this ordeal in any way and they are happy with that. <snip>
Thanks
Seb
I'm guessing you won't be handling my stuck btc withdrawal anymore then Could really use that btc this month too...but at least it's less than 1btc. Can't imagine losing more than 10 like some people. Ouch. Seb, did you ever see or hear of anything official from "Torihiki" because this is just too much of a coincidence in my mind:

Can't imagine losing more than 10 like some people. Ouch. If you ever spoke to anyone but Alex/Ryan via email, they couldn't do anything technical. Despite being a software dev, I wasn't allowed any access to anything database/daemon related. I'm down about 10.25BTC in total. Great news after being recently engaged and having to now shell out for parties/weddings. Seb, did you ever see or hear of anything official from "Torihiki" because this is just too much of a coincidence in my mind:
That name only surfaced after all the allegations came out, to my knowledge it was related to Mintpal and we really had nothing to do with that (from a support perspective anyway). As soon as Ryan made the announcement that the company was closing down, we were all told to stop responding to support tickets.

when a new exchange pops up please request names, photos, addresses, and references before you send your coins to their exchange
The exchange had been running for a long time, the problem was that it was taken over, then something... bad happened.

BTC-e has been running a couple of years, and no one knows the principles for that exchange (and overall BTC-e does NOT have any major cloud over it, at least currently)

1) Self-Custody is a right. There is no such thing as "non-custodial" or "un-hosted." 2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized. 3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Can you give more information what will happen to alcoin wallets (in my case Fluttercoin and Hirocoin) that have been "salvaged" from old servers, in case he don't hand over the database?

when i am reading all the comment ...i was very lucky to get it back 2200 XC just few days after the migration .... For me this is clear, this scam is organized ! I never understood why Mintpal has plane this migration ... it was just an excuse to steal the users ... For the moment Bittrex is safe, but for how long ? I feel sorry for everyone 1.Just leave on exchange the minimum required 2.better to send small amount multiple times than all in once 3.encrypt your wallets and make backups 4.always check your account ( daily ) to prevent from attack.

The following daemons are currently undergoing a rebuild / reindex. Withdrawals will be processed once complete.
BTC
Does it take many weeks to rebuild this index? looks more like a good excuse to not give back the BTC.

Does it take many weeks to rebuild this index? A full resync takes at most a day. At MOST. The point was that he stopped paying for the old server with the altcoin wallets on it and just left them to die there.
