I'd like to know what kind of "promotion" Tokeweed user has done for CANN? Nothing happens overnight for any coin.  a lot of people here just trade and there is no real work involved on the ground.  Give D9 some credit and the supporters

It's not a "promotion".  But I've been giving away CannabisCoins to people in Phoenix who are an Arizona MMJ card holder and are short on funds to get medication, thinking 1 CANN = 1 gram of MMJ would still be honored as advertised.

It would have been nice if you guys informed us that HWC didn't accept CannabisCoins for the time being.

FYI, We all work day and night to maintain our relationships with the MMJ community and dispensaries.  As a matter of fact we have recently acquired some commercial space to conduct further R & D for Cannabiscoin.  Everyone here is very active and enthusiastic with the progress and ideas we have been discussing.  The team and I are at the new space right now together  and as we bust our balls getting things prepped onsite for future developments we see posts from users that expect a whole lot for the sake of a quick buck.  This is why sitting here writing in the forum is not an optimal way for myself and the key team members to spend our time.

Look, we're just supporters.  If you come out asking me how only shows that you guys are having a hard time getting dispensaries to accept CANN.  Because let's be honest, it ain't that easy.  Very understandable.  But my whole point is for everyone to tell the truth and quit saying 1 CANN = 1 gram of MMJ for now.  That's it.

It's really not that easy.  But the first step is convincing dispensaries of the advantages of the blockchain in the Cannabis industry.  You already know this.

As for how the community can help.  If 1 CANN = 1 gram of MMJ cannot be honored then I personally have my hands tied.  People will find ways to say and go around this is all fake.

So i technically have the most cannabis coin the PNW? Nerd feels

I personally had to move back to Washington from Oregon due to an extremely sketch living situation. But now I've got a new room mate that wants to contribute as well. PNW is a good place

I'm up in WA with about 1.5k CANN. The reason I have such a small amount is due to the fact that I'm not all much into crypto, and haven't invested any real money from out of my pockets quite yet. But I try accumulating more by using BitCoin faucets and using what I gain from them and trading it for CANN. CANN is my primary crypto currently.

i currently hold a little over 10k i was solely mining with gpu's but since then have acquired s3's and am mining on that multialgo ffpool. it's ok for now with the low fees but the more miners there are = more fees, just like a real gold mine. There is a portland crypto meet up every month that ive been trying to attend and see if any one would be interested, but i just havent had the time. I know of a small mine in Vancouver Wa but i dont know them personally. Basically im getting my own mine setup with my new room mate. We are always looking for investors and will pay out fairly according to investment. Also the only money ive put into mining is to hardware, i havent bought BTC or CANN with cash yet and have traded around .5 btc since March. It IS possible to make a profit but it takes a bit in watching markets and graphs and trying to make sense of it all. Ive made some poor mining descisions and ive also made some poor trading descisions but those where necessary learning curves

tokeweed, you will recall I asked you by PM to check first and that I told you specifically that HWC may not be ready for a promotion. It's great that you are such an enthusiastic supporter but there is no point stamping your foot about being "embarrassed" when a huge and complex project is not run to your schedule. Had you checked first then everything could have been smoothly coordinated, even if you might have had to wait a few weeks.

Heather already came in here and told you that HWC have changed their Point of Sale system and that CannabisCoin integration has yet to be set up in the new system.

You score bonus points though for precipitously encouraging newcomers to try Android wallet installs and discovering problematic synchronization now that the block chain contains more than 800K records. Thank you for exposing that - a fix is under investigation now.

I understand that you'd like to see things happen more quickly, most people would but rather than lashing out and accusing other supporters of being sock puppets I ask you to just ease off a bit. Some of these supporters have been here a year longer than you have which would make them pretty long-lived "sock puppets," wouldn't it?

No, "the whole statement on the front page is wrong" is not a true statement. The OP states categorically "CannabisCoin is backed by Marijuana where it is accepted." and that's fair enough. HWC have been terrific supporters to date and every indication is that they will continue to be so. At the moment it is not convenient for them to handle CANN transactions so they are not accepting CannabisCoin.

Is anyone else currently honoring the peg? Not to my knowledge but that's OK, so far only small test crops have been harvested and it will be some time before dedicated portions of commercial grows can be injected into the CANNdy inventory on anything like a regular basis. Long-term readers of this thread know that my initial guestimation for distribution made from indoor grows has always been first quarter 2016 - and it still hasn't changed.

i think that to have this coin pegged for real commodity will require a lot of money. it would be easier to make this coin as bonus/discount token. where you buy 2 and get 1 free for 1 coin or something like that.

It can be done with a good outdoor plant
For example, Kali Mist brings a harvest of about 1500-1800g per plant
a field with 10,000 plants, bringing with good circumstances
18,000,000 g
and 10,000 plants is not much.
I have seen fields in Spain with 20,000 and more plants

Does CANN need to be immediately backed by 100 tons of marijuana? Of course it does not.

Look at the distribution on BitTrex, just by way of example.

The top 50 accounts hold what, about 20,000,000 CANN?

Say those account holders ALL lived within the sales zone of just one dispensary and that dispensary chose their policy as providing each patient with one pegged CANN purchase per day, those 20,000,000 CANN could qualify for just 50 grams of CANNdy mmj per day, not 20,000,000 grams.

So, does meeting a daily supply demand of a little under 2 ounces sound easier than 44,000 pounds?

Even though that sum involves some of the densest CANN ownership rates the real-world sum doesn't change that much. Suppose you managed to spread CannabisCoin ownership to an even 1,000 CANN per patient, you are still only looking at 0.1% of the supply demand people are talking about here.

If and it is a huge "if" - if we can achieve 1,000 daily CANN-for-gram users by this time next year that will be a magnificent result and one where we are talking about a total one-year supply demand of 365 kilos, not the 106 metric tonnes which would be involved in a single use of CannabisCoin's total maximum coin supply (as planned at swap to X11 last year).

Does 1,000 seem a much more manageable figure than 106,000,000?

Will we be looking at 1,000 users within a year? I certainly hope so.

Will we be looking at a daily turnover of the entire coin supply and need to meet such a supply demand of CANNdy at pegged rates? Of course not.

Ideally we are looking for dispensaries installing the means to handle CannabisCoin transactions for their mmj clients and using CANN for their electronic point of sale - at market rates - for general transactions. Transactions at market rates don't have peg support and thus don't count toward required CANNdy supply. Most CannabisCoin are likely to be involved in transactions at market rates.

Stop looking at a demand for a rasher of bacon as having to supply the whole pig. There's a lot of work ahead before we get a lot of mmj users on CANN-support and likely only a small proportion of CANN transactions will be pegged at 1 CANN for 1 gram.

CANNdy and Yes We CANN are entirely doable and ∆9 and the team are busting a gut to deliver in the shortest practicable time. The least you guys can do is pencil out the numbers on the back of an envelope before hand-waving about what can be and is being done.
