I thought D9 was supporting the peg himself and had growers donating parts of their harvest. D9 would post pictures of a grow op that he was starting. There haven't been any pictures in a long time. Does anyone know what is going on?
I wonder if D9 is in jail.

Ha! No fartbags, he's not incarcerated or in any danger of so being. It is just that at the moment no product is being streamed and there's some work being done to ensure businesses are not disadvantaged by inability to access streamed product. It's a fairness thing more than anything else. We are working on getting incentives into the current upgrade round for all dispensaries equally regardless of location.

Hello All from South Africa,
I have made collecting crypto coins my hobby and invest in all different types of coins as a long term investment. I have decided to add CANN to my list and will continue to buy, hold and support the coin as I do with my other coins. We are currently fighting legalization of medical marijuana in SA and I would be stoked to be able to introduce CANN to the community this side.
Catch ya all on the flip side!

So... you got the main page updated, was overdue for sure. only thing you need to do now is have the dev pop in once in awhile to say hi and for sure explain why the hell the last two years of canndy was destroyed , if the canndy was that bad, then it would have for sure been bought for 1 cann a gram, as long as it was not moldy, it was definitely worth the peg.

So... explain why the hell the last two years of canndy was destroyed ... if the canndy was that bad... Hmm... it seems I should have been either more or less explicit and not assumed a certain general knowledge about legal cannabis production. All legally grown cannabis has to be strictly accounted for. All plant material and trim is counted as cannabis, not just flower and samples tested are destroyed in testing. Where CANNdy crops are "donated or destroyed", the product, whether that be flower or some portion not destroyed in testing, has been donated while any surplus clones from the batch, if any, all trim and any waste or leftover material must be disposed of in legally defined ways, called "destruction". No plant or portion may be left unaccounted for. This accounting must also include any plants rejected as failing to thrive under the grow conditions for any reason (quite common when testing an array of landraces to find the best candidates). Juiced plants are "destroyed" too but they sure aren't bad

Any evidence that it is Cryptsy dumping coins? It is true that several million CannabisCoins have changed hands over the past couple of weeks and the distribution on Bittrex seems to have fattened the 500K-plus bracket.

After Unobtanium moved from Cryptsy to Bittrex (& we had the coins successfully frozen), I checked the CANN block explorer since there had been dumping of CANN on Bittrex as well. I concluded that it was not Vern dumping because there had been no noticeable large movements of CANN in the previous several days. It's possible that the UNO movement was not the first & he had been moving coins more subtly for weeks or months, but you'd have to trace the blockchain data. Thankfully the UNO community is on top of that stuff & noticed within hours, do you guys know what addresses/wallets Cryptsy was using to store its CANN? Pretty simple to check if those addresses have moved rather than guessing...
My guess is that the dumping is due to false 420 hype & a strengthening BTC. Remember we were at 400 satoshi, double topped at 1,250 & now we're at 750, pretty reasonable situation that doesn't require foul play. I've been accumulating though because it sounds like there may be news this summer & staking will be a good deal. Anything 0.00000400 to 0.00001000 is a profitable purchase IMO.
Any rough guesses on when staking will be implemented?

Any rough guesses on when staking will be implemented?
We're down to discussions on just what form it will take so the rough guess is "soon," possibly "very soon" and "definitely within the next few months". Naturally a lot of "what if" scenarios are examined before any changes are made and without preempting the core group's decisions in any way I can tell you that a 2% compound interest has been well scrutinized. A couple of interesting features of that inflation rate are that it would restore the number of burnt coins over 7 years and, if deemed desirable at that future time, can be left in place for 75 years without exceeding CannabisCoin's original intent (back when it was launched as a scrypt coin) of 420,000,000. Again, that's my observations and the core group may decide otherwise if it is deemed in everyone's interests. Edited to highlight "what if" speculation far into the future.
