Such a great coin with so many features. I just don't understand why most people go for the pump and dump scams out there when we have something like PINK. Its cheap right now at 60 sats. People should be putting some BTC into this one. I believe that it can only go up from here. The people behind the coin are cool, honest and dependable developers. Its nice to see an actual alt coin with soul and not the same old PnD crap that has been plaguing these forums for months.

Good job creating a moderated thread you guys have already proven yourselves as open and transparent POD before there was POD. Now we can focus our energy moving forward on positive projects that benefit pink. Last month has been a bit rough and reminds me of a great Einstein quote "The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.". Time for legitimate questions and concerns and real announcements. Future is looking bright the core development team is working hand in hand with the millionaires club adding more great minds and resources.

You may see that in the beginning, till you start downloading the blockchain. You still facing the issue? Are you behind a firewall? If so then you have to give access to the software for allowing connections.

A Calling for All those who Know & Love the Power of Pink,

Of all those keenly known phenomenons awakened to the world, and of all those many more unknowns, still virgin, cast yet into the forgotten shadows; neatly sewn deep into the fabric of Mother Nature's all enveloping chasms, her mysterious entangling desires blooms from within those forsaken depths an all encompassing yet calm, prudently silent yet still bold, consciously living yet once thought unconscionable force. Un-preoccupied, immersed and often un-explainable, this force of nature after wading gently throughout all the seven seas of hallowing galactic oceanic plumes, strewn together onto this palette of infinity, buried among the fates of all our journeys of timeless spawning destinies, has come along once again, as it ever so rarely will, to animate into existence an interstellar collation of only the rarest crescent moon-lite pink stardust, hosting only the clearest waters common in her courage, and imprinted only in the reflections of the rosiest sunshine.
Colossal and ever brewing, this force of pink light harbors proudly within us all the strength and power to tame the glutenous Titans roaming unjustly across the world’s lands, to hold with passion in our arms all her curtailing bonds of universal love, and ascend with nature into all the enlightening blessings of Nirvana. Her trademark color pink is a clear telling kiss of her forces nearing our midst, a sign made before each precursor to the embarking of yet another of her majestic prophecies foretelling of Mother Nature's only condoned conquests. Heralded by only the cleverest of men, and cherished by only the wisest of woman, told by only those few legends depicting seldom attained esteems, she thrives tingling all the very tips of all our eyes’ various troika trips with fiery and prosperous visions. As a flint would when striking cold stone, this enchanting Pink Force sparks aloud uncharted and utter awesomeness, which sails breathlessly, accosted by no one, while she gallantly guides gracefully her favored few ever nearer towards her exotic and ecstatic dreams.
Free at last, her holy wave of stardust and water has finally come along once again onto this lofting blue globe, and through them, her few true interstellar coalitions of water and dust, that rare Pink band of entrusted ones who share with her in unbound courage and spirit, of whom, after many generations have all finally, at last, been born onto this world, and have finally all felt her force within themselves to come together under one banner for one common glistening golden Pink cause, united by working together, naturally helping each other, constructively aiding all those in need, and all those they care for, they alone who follow the Pink Force will carry and spawn into life a great new Pink standard of living, holding high with pride on their shoulders an open demonstration, chanting for all the world to witness and share with them all their many miracles of exemplified hope, hard fought for immortal principles, cherishing an unquenchable thirsting for all truths, knowing honest peace foreign to all pain, and standing in untainted unity in their unbound triumphant love of her calling color, Pink.
Gladly we carry her, gliding high above all the ancient peaks of old to shine down for all those still trudging aimlessly searching for her, so that they may too catch if only but one glimpse of illumination out of her heavenly beaming rays of truth joyously beckoning Pink light back down onto them, to point forward the way for all those lingering lost and weathered souls to drink from the chivalrous lakes of altruism. Through her color Pink, her force, shared to us all along with all her endowments of true happiness, spoken of timelessly throughout all the bountiful happenings of her angelically triggered anomalies of contagious inspirations, coached religiously by all those hailing the deeds of wondrous tales, detailed by all those few gospels of old dedicated with appeasement towards fruitful thinking, through them all she will come aloft, and manifest in of herself about into our realm; and into our hearts, as she rests her one and only complete wave of honest synergism, waiting on our marks, to set free her wake, to ripple fabled tides of treasured epics forever to be inscribed and taught to all humanity. Know well that she will paint the bravest of her heroes onto the caverns of endless time, carve out before all the gods to marvel the truest of her faithful loving followers, and of all those unfortunate souls grasped into unlikely entrapment begotten in accounting the many sours of evil men (and evil women) her light will undoubtedly shine out to to charm them most.
Her provocation onto this darkened world is tested, and tempted by those manifestations of that dreadful beast Satan himself, whose army will arise to counter us, but they will all envy at our gleaming Pink rain. Staring out upon us, as they see we Pink enlightened few, Lucifer’s minions will curse excuses at themselves for feeling emptied, tasteless, and barren of all her loving heart felt grace. With all their sickening blended stains of shame; his demons will stand parted, before kneeling in awe, induced to utter bafflement, blinded, confused, and unanimously dismayed, as they are all unquestionably guilty of mocking our altruistic nature; unable to share in the blessings of her one and only true divine wave of courage, honor, and hope that propels, bonds, and perpetuates we few glorious brothers and sisters who are all blessed in sharing within ourselves a haloed interstellarly bound Pink Power, composing a symphony within of Pink orchestrated stardust entwined with nature’s rosiest waters; a gift from endless time. For us, the mighty Pink Knights and darling Pink Ladies, and all those who would stand fearless in combating those dreadful evils disturbingly clinging to much of the present world, the Pink Force is ever vibrant, everlasting and forever strong in all our battles against the toxic spews of purely devilish fools.
Through nature’s waters, she has spawn to life her stardust of the Pink persuasion, enlightening only those who would truly find treasure in seeking within themselves to discover every calling aspect of this omnipotent positive force hidden throughout all of time and space. As you have by now already felt tingle inside your heart, you are not here today reading this calling by any notes of mere random chances, her Pink water and stardust is alive and well within you; her mighty Pink Force has guided you here for love, altruism, and glory. I sense the The Pink Force is strong in you, let her guide you to the put out the hateful fires of the galaxy and spread her blossoming rays of love throughout all the universe.

May the Pink Force be with you, Always,  Cool

Turned off firewall.  Wallet still not syncing and not connected to network message is showing at bottom right of screen.  Shouldn't it have started the syncing process automatically? Also encrypted and unlocked wallet. Wallet looks great with bells and whistles (twitter window, etc) but doesn't sync.

Saw your issue and seeing as I was still using the old wallet I decided to install the new one.  Mine is up and running without any issues!  It even pulled my balance from my old wallet.  Cool.  Maybe delete everything and start again and be sure to allow it through your firewall when the prompt comes up.  Have you checked your %appdata% folder as well?   I believe the program needs to be running from this folder but I an by no means a expert.  Hope this helps.

Have you been buying pink? I have...

Did you try deleting everything and starting over?  Maybe there is a file missing.  I just tried it and it worked for me, so something is missing.  Maybe try the old wallet which is just fine IMO.

Good luck.  Don't give up.

Sounds like a reinstall is in need here. Go to windows explorer, search %appdata%, browse to the Pinkcoin folder and and delete everything EXCEPT for WALLET.DAT
Then reopen the wallet, and everything should be fine.

Keep us posted.

You are well on your way to becoming a pinkcoin millionaire Cheesy

I believe madmax on Twitter was the one offering the 100,000 PINK reward, so hit him up.

It appears you are also the winner of the 50/50 draw. So that's another 60k PINK deposited into your Twitter wallet Wink

Keep up the good work and positive attitude.

Few questions.

Does the wallet need to run 24/7 to stake?

How come the estimated time is waaay off?  22 mins for like a day now, network weight of 1.2 million.

New wallet seems to struggle to stake, I just upgraded from old one.

Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need to run it 24/7, however it will stake most if you do. If you only run it a couple hours every few days, it will catch up on all your missed stakes. However, had it been running that whole time, those "missed stakes" would have been aging and staking themselves. It is not really a noticeable difference, but it is a difference.

Estimated time does that on most PoS coins, I unfortunately do not have the answer to it.

New wallet stakes fine, it is a little slower and heavier on your computers resources as there is a lot going on in there.

Sumgye has been talking a lot lately of giving that wallet a once over, cleaning it up and getting it back to optimal performance. So hopefully we will have another new wallet coming soon Smiley

Curious as to what happened to the 50/50 bot, is it going to continue?  I noticed the website is outdated saying this feature is only for October.  Last time I bought some of these it looked like it was a continuation of the October run according to the number sequence.   Great idea behind the buy wall how will the buy wall work?

Staking coins for a week now with no payouts, wallet open 24/7.  Get within 15 mins of a payout though!  lol

Any thoughts?...

Good eye, we fixed the number sequence on the 50/50 for the bot, but I completely forgot to update the website. I will do that right now, thank you.

As for the buy wall, there is not "set in stone" function behind it as of right now.
 - we are going to potentially automate it so it can catch all the coins that are currently on the exchange. For example, if there are 100,000,000 Pinkcoin on the exchange, the buy wall would need 10BTC to hold at 10 SATs, 100BTC at 100SATs etc. If someone were to send 20,000,000 coins to the exchange, the buy wall would move down to a price where it can catch 120,000,000 coins.

 - a buy wall that can catch a said % of the coin. Let's just say it is designed to catch 100% of the coins, it would need 36.4BTC support to hold at 10 SATs. 50% of the coins, it would need 18.2BTC to hold at 10 SATs etc...

We are not sure yet which option is the best, most effective, and most efficient. All I know is that by using the tools created for Pinkcoin, you are not only marketing, you are also adding liquidity and helping with buy support indirectly.

Here are the Developments in the Works for Pinkcoin that I am currently aware of..

From Fayoling on the Pinkcoin Revamped Forum, September 25, 2014, 06:33:09 PM
Quick Roadmap:
Wallet.pink
Online wallet that will integrate all of our Pinkcoin systems. You can allocate balances to specific systems, better tracking, and usability. One wallet to rule them all.

Exchange.pink
Will allow people to exchange other altcoins and BTC into Pinkcoin. This will be done automatically, and your Pinkcoin will be directly deposited into your online wallet.

Pay With Pink http://crypto.pink/wip/paywithpink.pdf
Will allow vendors that currently accept Paypal, to also accept Pinkcoin without actually being paid in Pinkcoin. Vendors will receive Fiat for purchases made with Pinkcoin via Paypal.
This will also open the doors to buying Pinkcoin with Fiat.

These are the 3 up and coming features that we are currently building and integrating together, and into our current systems.
Upon their completion, Pinkcoin will not only be accessible by the masses, but it will be easy to get your hands on.

From Twitter 12:31 PM - 26 Oct 2014

pink orca
‏@m_ad_04m_ax_

Game changing development in the works for @Pinkcoin_ details will follow. I have been a busy #whale.

                                                                       Eternal Blessings,

What is the point of putting a buy wall at 10sats? What is the objective? Again - what development is currently going on (if any)?

There are developments happening, Thank you Spock for re-posting my latest update.

The 10SATs was just a number used in the examples. The buy wall is new and relies on people using the systems. It will begin at 1 SAT, it is not a short term plan to push the price up, it is a longterm plan to support the coin. Our poker system in it's first couple weeks made over 1,000,000 PINK in rake. In other words, the buy wall at 1 SATs will forever climb the buy books. The more people using Pinkcoin, the higher the buy wall can climb.

Use the tools we create, and the value of the coin will be supported.

                                                                       Eternal Blessings,
                                                                     Spock Skywalker@WaterisAliv1111

Now this is what i call a roadmap. Nice work. I personally don't mind that Pink is still under the radar.

Hey Guys, still here and holding. But truth to say it got a little quiet here lately. I think that all this coin needs is a better exposure. Of course special features are great, but let's face it, this is a working coin and it has all it needs for being used. Have you been thinking of looking for someone who would take care of promo? And design, seriously.Wink -my humble opinion- You could also start something like a donation address towards a promo purpose (IE for some bounties) if needed. I would send some. There is a lot of potential here but still waiting to bloom.

And I am not sure I get that thing about the buy wall, I mean, since you collect funds in PINK, you would have to sell PINK first to get BTC to be able to buy (or just create a wall) PINK again, isn't that so? Of course, if you sell high, you can buy more PINK lower, but common, where does the PINK benefit from it. I don't think that it would hurt either, but I guess those PINK could be of better use somewhere else (IE bounties).

Anyway, keep up the good work guys! You did already a lot of great work. And what is the most important - Think PINK. Wink

Hello guys and gals,
what would you like to see in development for PINK?

What do you have in your mind? I would like to hear your thoughts.

I am able to program almost anything, so please tell me you ideas.

I want more frequent payouts with the 50/50, continued development of the roadmap and PR campain showing the donations to NBCF.  Are there pictures?  It would be cool if the 50/50 changed up often to focus on people in need.  This month "Movember" for example.  If the volume was there weekly draws maybe.   50/50 could have focused on the crowdfund with @cryptocobain to raise cash to help find that Ryan Kennedy loser.  Great ways to ride popular trends and be good humans while keeping the PINK brand in all eyes.

This is awesome Anoxy. Guys, where is some brainstorming? Go on! How about Android wallet? Seems pretty useful for on the go transactions. Yeah, not the most innovative idea, but if we want people to start using it, they need the tools to do that. Or some twitter spam bot to get the word among people.Smiley

Had the buy wall been in place at that time, poker alone would've been adding a Bitcoin or more to the wall a week.

In other words, the buy wall at 1 SATs will forever climb the buy books. The more people using Pinkcoin, the higher the buy wall can climb.

tl:dr;
Use the tools we create, and the value of the coin will be supported.

...

I don't think that it would hurt either, but I guess those PINK could be of better use somewhere else (IE bounties).

...

Hello Fayoling, or just someone from the team, could you please respond to the part of my post above?

Why is this community so dead? Why are devs asking what to develop? I thought someone said some big "game changing" things were coming to PINK? Why all the confusion? Does anyone really know what is going on?

Well Anoxxy just joined the millionaires hangout where most of the brainstorming goes on for pink now. He seems to be a very talented programmer and its refreshing to see his attitude of what can I do to help. It would be nice to see some other community members adopt the same philosophy. I agree with Pinker in getting Pinkcoin to go mobile has been long overdue. Got crypto great idea for remittance of Pinkcoin to the NBCF will contact them to see if we can get some PR going there. Cammo yes things are in the works with me but I unfortunately don't have a timeline but the community will be the first to know when concrete details come in.

The community is not dead. Just because we don't comment doesn't mean we are not watching. Devs are skilled with a positive energy and care about our opinion. How can this be a bad thing?? Relax..game changing things don't come to a coin in one day. I like Pink very much for its course so far and i have been trading and staking it for months. More things to come but i do agree it needs some promo. Personally i like our little community. It's positive with no trolls and real believers. Dev sorry i can't help with a few great ideas but i'm sure you (and some members) will find the next thing to implement to this great little coin. Smiley

As far a promo goes all we really need to do is continue this tipping trend.  Our tip is better due to the nature of our coin in my opinion, not only do we have the tip but all the other means of sending a tip as well of which some goes to charity.  I try to include a ticket with all great tweets I respond to or read.  Join me!

Welcome to the millionaire club,

We don't currently have automated emails setup through the millionaire site. We will get you into the millionaire hangout shortly, as you seem to be lighting a fire back under Pinkcoin. For this, I thank you.

I like the ideas you have for the 50/50, and marketing in general. I look forward to conversing and implementing them in the future. This leads me into the other remarks in the thread about development. Given a new moderated thread, there is not much information.

One of the problems we ran into on the Pinkcoin systems was scope creep. Every system started out as one thing and quickly got built upon. Essentially, the infrastructure and foundation was too small for what needs to built. It had gotten to the point, that just adding the 50/50 to the lottery took about 3x as long as it should have due to all the tweaking. And because all the tweaking, where we may change something to get the 50/50 working, it would cause a bug in the rock, paper, scissors game. The same goes for our crypto.pink and essentially everything we've developed.

Nothing is really connected, and everything has reach it's max capacity.

So we have essentially started back on the ground level. We are completely redoing our infrastructure, one that has very few limits as to what can be done with. We will be linking every tool built for Pinkcoin through wallet.pink. You will, from this one location be able to see where all your coins are, easily send back and forth between systems. You will be able to buy Pinkcoin here with other currencies; similar to the Twitter bot. A perfect example of the current foundation not being big enough. We already have an exchange on Twitter, but it is useless elsewhere. So we had to build another exchange. This is where exchange.pink comes in.

Exchange.pink will be the engine that will allow us to then integrate all kinds of 3rd party systems like Twitter into our exchange, rather than build an individual exchange on each. This same engine will be accessed and mostly used via wallet.pink. Here is an image of that engine as it looks currently.

It is a big system, and it will still take some time, but once it's complete, everything will pretty much be plug and play.

Does anybody else play backgammon? I just got  turned onto it a few days ago, but I know it's a popular game. That'd be neat though to have an arcade with a bunch of random games. Then have people pay $pink to play them and payout a prize to the top scores every month or something. "charityarcade.pink" or a website we can trade our awesome stuff online for pinkcoin with, like ebay; would spur some commerce.  Cool

Where is the pinkcoin millionaire hangout? I didn't receive any information about it (or I accidentally deleted the email, which is also possible).

Regarding ideas I've recently been thinking about when I was a teenager and we used to get into fads like trading card games or pogs and I can't help but think that crypto alts could easily be the next big teenage fad, if it is marketed right. Apps like casheer I think will be very popular with schoolkids, since they can trade cryptos just like we used to trade cards, but through a social mobile phone platform. With the success of Bitcoin billionaire I'm wondering if pinkcoin could capitalise on these successes and its own friendly youthful image and create a pinkcoin mobile app that has a game/trading element to it, where schoolkids would want to collect pinkcoins and get more than their friends have. Just a very rough idea at the moment, and I'm not exactly sure how this could be achieved, but hey, its all brainstorming right??

I just saw a post about barabass =)
check it here..

Let's crank this mother up to 11

Dug through Jose's profile (or should I say Barabbas?)

Found this little interesting tid-bit from June (I've screenshotted it for posterity)

Now I know what you are thinking-- "So what, who cares? How is this relevant?"

Well a simple Google search of the zippercoin address reveals something even a little more interesting.

Whooooaaaaa is that our friend Barabbas? Can it be?

Scary, I know.

Seems like an out of work actor-- check out his wonderfully put together website (isn't the internet an amazing place?)

                                                                                                Merry Christmas,
                                                                                       Spock Skywalker@WaterIsAliv1111

1. Run the pinkcoin app on the mac once and close it (cmd+q)

2. Open any "Finder" window.

3. Type Shift + Cmd + G.

4. A "Go to" box will pop up asking you to type in teh folder path. Type in "/Users/sony/Library/Application Support" (change "sony" to your login name of course).

5. A finder window will pop up taking you to the "Application Support" folder. Look for a folder called pinkcoin there.

6. Inside will be a wallet.dat file there. That is the empty wallet file created by running the app for the first time. You can delete that and paste the wallet file that you have from the windows machine.

As always, its a good idea to back up everything in a pen drive as well... never know when one of these windows will pop up on you  Grin

why pink is frozen at poloniex?

They must have froze it temporarily to change the Ticker Symbol from PC to PINK. It's taken them over 6 months to do that lol. They must have brought it back online tho cuz PINK is rocking hard on Poloniex just fine as of 5 minutes ago. All I had to do was generate a new wallet, I didn't have any coins on Poloniex when they changed the Ticker tho. Not sure if that would have mattered or not.

I know its been awhile since Pink.wars has been used/discussed, but I had a balance of PINK still on the site when it was taken down for maintenance and it's not letting me log in to withdraw them. The user name and password request options are not working either.

Any updates? How do I withdraw my coins at this point?

Thanks.

Wheezy asked me in a personal message to stop in here and drop an update for everyone.

We have made solid progress on all things, and have been building a good reliable brand and name for Pinkcoin during these quiet times. Our new foundation grows bigger and bigger in scope almost every day, the most recently added engine to the list is explorer.pink. So we currently have most systems done and running themselves and our currently putting them all together.

Wallet.pink and exchange.pink have been flawlessly running together for the Seedcoin Staking Multipool which pays out in Pinkcoin. Everything in the process is 100% completely automated through the .pink foundation, right down to us receiving emails if a hot wallet is getting low and in need of a top up.

On top of all the systems coming together quite well, we recently got everything we need in place to start accepting Fiat for crypto. It is something we overlooked, and came as a great blessing in a time of need. Over the last week we ripped PwP apart back down to the bare bones, and have rewritten it to accommodate and simplify our new ability to accept Fiat. For now, until we can get some more licenses, it will all be run through PayPal for conversions (fees suck we know), but it will allow PwP to track all transactions, do the in house conversions automatically and deliver invoices.

Like I said on Twitter, if your not a millionaire yet you are going to miss out on some amazing times. This is the moment for filling your shelves with Pink at wholesale prices in my opinion. Please, show your support for all the hard work the Pinkcoin team has been doing while it may appear to be quiet. Buy some Pink and start staking, buy a Seedcoin staking wallet which pays out 16% off 10000 Seed or even help spread awareness of the exciting things to come. Follow me for updates or any of the team if the forum is a little to quiet for you.  My handle is @GotCrypto

Warning though... I tweet alot about Pink and tend to give out alot of tickets and tips!

Well proof of stake is holding coins in your wallet on your pc.  They earn 1% interest with Pink, some coins like Seed earn up to 16% interest.   You don't have to leave your computer running just turn it on every now and then and let your wallet catch up to the block chain and it will earn staking income.  If you were to leave it running 24/7 your earned stakes will add to the total and be that much more staking so this is a way to achieve maximum earnings.

What I would do is download the latest wallet and get it synced fully.  Send a small amt of coins to ensure no issues once received send your full amt purchased.  Once you have deposited everything you want to stake you need to encrypt your wallet via the drop down menu in the wallet.   Make sure you don't lose this long password or you lose your coins forever.   Once encrypted ypu will need to restart your wallet and again in the drop down menu unlock the wallet for mining only.  Note the checkmark for unlocking for this purpose only.  Really all that is needed is patience now.  It will take a few days to build up your network weight and you will get confused by time till payout which is not to accurate.   No coin is from what I see and I have 6 wallets staking.   Lastly make sure you back up your wallet, I back mine up to my email and the cloud.   You never know if your puter kicks it and you need the keys to your wallet.  What else...

Basicly this is an energy efficient way of mining which keeps the farms away.  The more coins you have the more you earn in interest.  Feel free to use the Pink block explorer and look at how much certain wallets earn with what amt of coins.  It's all there to see.

I think I got most of it if there is something else I'm sure someone will post it soon.  All of us in the Pink community use Slack now so if your ready to join buy some Pink and ask for an invite.  There are also special privileges to those who hold a Million consistently.

Hope this helps!

You do not need an account for a wallet to Sync.
Did you download the light or standard version?
Are you Mac/Windows?

Would it simply not sync and display not synced? or did it get stuck?
In the bottom right of your wallet, if you hover over the little network (like wifi) symbol in the bottom right, how many connections are you showing?

Sorry for the delayed response, we will get you synced and staking, and then send some Pink for a little boost start Wink Be patient, we'll get it.

Thank you for letting us know, we had a server reset on us. I will get to the poker site shortly. Hopefully I do not have to recreate all the tables Sad If I do, it may be down for a few days. My apologies and thank you for letting us know.

How on earth does the pinkcoin lottery work?

Follow the @Pinkcoinlottery twitter bot.  Buy some Pink.
Ask the bot for your address like this...

@Pinkcoinlottery address

Deposit your coins...then

@Pinkcoinlottery ticket

Buys a ticket for yourself or...

@Pinkcoinlottery @GotCrypto ticket

Buys a ticket for someone else.  You can ticket up to 25 at a time by adding the number after ticket.  So....

@Pinkcoinlottery @GotCrypto ticket 16

Buys 16 tickets for GotCrypto

You can also substitute the ticket command with 50/50 or deal for poker.  You can use TIP to send just coins or use PAY if you wish.  If you want to withdraw or check balance. ..

@Pinkcoinlottery balance
@Pinkcoinlottery withdraw

Hope this helps.   Check out lottery.pink for commands and stats.

Take care

Hey everybody I will ask the Devs to drop a line here soon with updates. They have been busy building a bitcoin bot for trading.  A lot of other things have been in the works and there has not been any info shared really.  We started a Slack group if your interested in better communication so hit me up on twitter for a invite.  @GotCrypto

Or tweet @Pinkcoin for invites it shows up on the slack channels.

The bot is free to use if you wish to try it out.  It was only barely finished last night.  Here is my link...

http://auto.exchange.pink/register/d2i/

I have word that they are going to do a wallets check among many other things here very shortly as the whole Pay with Pink platform comes together.  Very exciting developments so stick around or join us over at slack.
Take care

Drawings are twice a week and you will be notified via @Pinkcoinlottery bot which you should have followed.  50/50 is still a manual draw until the new Pay with Pink platform is released.  This is done monthly.   The poker is instant!

Tweet to @Pinkcoinlottery for an invite to our slack channel if you want faster response from the Pink team!

Have fun!

I sent a DM to Crypto Rox.

If I send crypto to an alternate deposit address will it get routed through an exchange?  Or does lottery.pink get it since they need to liquidate some profits for donating to projects.  That'd be nice because it'd give them a source of extra liquidity.

EDIT: I haven't actually waited that long, but maybe

@pinkcoinlottery DOGE address

isn't supported anymore.

EDIT2: Also the lottery number format.  They have 5 numbers at the top and numbers are highlighted.  This somehow suggests that numbers are randomly generated for each lottery?

I also couldn't get a new wallet to sync. Even with the nodes provided above.

I have a pinkcoin wallet staking and took the peers from it. Added to a new install and it started to sync almost instantly.

Hi all.

Been holding pink since the beginning and curious about any new developments.
Current team members & time with coin?

Also, website is down Sad

hope all is well,
cryptoloot

Awesome to hear your still with us!  Lots of great things coming and other things being used.  Come visit our slack channel and you can get caught up.   If you shoot me your email addy I can process an invite.

Currently the Pink Foundation is well underway and in testing.  They have recently launched a series of Bitcoin trade bots to bring revenue to the coin and there is a Pay with Pink platform with direct fiat purchasing.   Working hard to get everything tested and then released to the public.  The Pink development team is not big on hype, in my opinion.   When everything is in place in the very near future I am confident your held coins will be worth it.

Myself...I am accumulating as many as I can.  Dm me or ask for a invite from @Pinkcoinlottery.

Wallet Update

PinkCoin 1.2 Release Candidate (lite)

I am currently testing some wallet improvements, especially for people with a large number of coins (1m+) that are continuously staking. Please make a backup of your wallet.dat and test these wallets, especially if you've been having issues with the wallet hanging/freezing. Do not expect this wallet to solve the problem right away, it will happen slowly over time as you continue staking.

These improvements were made on the lite wallet to make it easier to track down problems. Once I am sure the lite wallet is running stably I will port the new updates to Pinkcoin 2.0.

PinkCoin Windows Wallet 1.2 RC1
PinkCoin Mac OS X Wallet 1.2 RC1

Updates:
Re-calibrated Staking System:
The staking system will consolidate coins in larger chunks. Over time this will reduce PC workload, reduce orphans, reduce the overall weight on the network, make staking more consistent, and the wallet more responsive regardless of the number of coins you have in it.

Network Weight Algorithm:
Estimated time to stake should now be more accurate.

New hardcoded nodes:
Pinkcoin.conf should no longer be necessary to just connect to the network.

Updated security:
The windows wallet is updated to OpenSSL 1.0.1L, the Mac wallet is updated to OpenSSL 1.0.2. The wallets include the necessary fixes to make them compatible with clients running previous versions.

This is a Recommended, but not a Mandatory update.
If you would like to continue running the 2.0 wallet until a new release is made, please feel free. But if you are having issues with your wallet, please try this one for a few days and see if the situation improves.

If you have any issues with the wallet please do not hesitate to reply here or contact me or fayoling via PM.

Thanks,
Sumgye

Thanks Sumgye, I'm testing this now. Will let you know how it works out. So far its making larger stake rewards. Looks like 5x to 10x larger amounts. Its still freezing up with not responding for a few seconds every now and then. I'm going to let it run for a day and report back.

Awesome thanks Sumgye was having some issues with the wallet not responding will definitely try this. Was talking to fayoled about a solution for this problem looks like you have found it. Would like to ask a couple questions about this and settings for optimal staking. You should come by Slack catch up. Anyways thanks again.

I just downloaded the new wallet and will report back if the responsiveness improves after a few days. The previous wallet was borderline unusable as it was constantly freezing up. Hopefully this release can lessen the frequency of lock-ups.

I've been doing some testing with larger long-term staking wallets and it seems limiting the coin fragmentation is only part of the problem. Another huge element turns out to be the fact that the wallet loads your entire transaction history when you open the wallet, including all of your stakes and orphans, regardless of your filters. An experimental wallet I've been working on that only loads the last weeks worth of staking history (full history of send-receives loads normally) has had dramatic results for responsiveness on wallets that have staked tens of thousands of times.

There's still some cosmetic bugs I'm trying to squash, but implementation ideas are welcome. At the moment I've just hardcoded in a week and put an option to enable full histories in the Settings -> Options -> Display window.

Personally I don't see the need to pull up stakes going back further than a week unless your stake history is rather light in the first place (hence the option to disable it). But if people want more control over that I can implement a slider or textbox to enter the number of days to load stakes.

I'm also toying with the idea of implementing an option to disable staking notifications - so heavy staker's can still enjoy standard send-receive notifications without being annoyed every few minutes with a staking popup.

Thoughs?

I think all of those ideas are great. I personally do not need staking notifications popping up nonstop, nor do I need my entire staking history (though the option to look back on it wouldn't hurt). A responsive wallet is most important for me.

Feel free to give this one a whirl:

Pinkcoin 1.2 Experimental Windows Wallet

There's some bugs I'm working on squishing, like sometimes there's notifications of old stakes when you make new stakes, and changing the setting to view all transactions isn't saving after you close and reopen Pinkcoin, but all the new code is strictly on the UI end, specifically on the transaction history display and in the options menu, so it's safe to use, and will make the wallet handle less like a brick.

Let me know if you notice any other bugs I haven't mentioned though. And I haven't touched notifications, fwiw.

I've switched over to the new wallet as well, dramatic improvement. Wallet is actually usable again, and thanks for adding staking together. When you have 12k+ staking transactions and each amount it so little, it takes many, many thousands of confirmations just to get enough weight to actually stake.

Any Pink holders not on slack feel free to hit me up and ill get you an invite.  Developers are in the coding cave for the next few weeks working their tails off so things are going to be quiet.  Poker issues will be handled as free time permits and the lottery is down as the Foundation is rebuilt!  Feel free to visit the Autochange site https://auto.exchange.pink/register/d2i/ and try out the Pink Bitcoin trading scripts.  They can be used on OKCoin or Finex.  I use Pro on Finex and it is proving to be a very strong trader with the right setting and human intervention.  So many ideas and so much potential with this brand you really don't want to be left out!

Thanks a lot! Do you have a twitch username so I can add it to the top donators list? For now I'll just use your bitcointalk name.

I wish PinkPoker the best, I'd be happy to stream some games if you guys can get enough action over there. Even if it's as small as ~$10 cash game, but with at least 6 players. It was pretty quiet over there last time I checked except for the Sunday Freerolls, but it just takes a little publicity and innovation to get it rocking! Besides, if Pinkcoin increases a lot in value that will increase the poker traffic as well.

Glad to hear coders are coding, I look forward to see what you guys have in store for Pinkcoin!

Just made my first Pinkcoin purchase with Pay with Pink. It looks something like this.

You can find it on the Pinkcoin website here http://crypto.pink/verge/

Here is a screenshot of the completed purchase invoice.

Verge is one of the autochange bots developed by Tranzium and Fayoled.

As it was explained to me Verge will not be a public autochange bot and will only support PINK.

This was very easy for me to support as Verge will increase its pool of BTC and PINK with each successful settlement.

As wallet.pink is nearing completion transactions in Pinkcoin will be done manually.

This has the possibility to be a revolving financial infrastructure/ecosystem.

You buy Pinkcoin from Verge it transfers BTC to OKcoin and trades on the autochange script.

Successful settlements allow Verge to replenish its Pinkcoin pool, add buy support on exchanges and top up the trading balance on OKcoin.

This should in theory increase the value of PINK while allowing purchasers of Pinkcoin from verge none of the risk of trading BTC.

This is in the early stages so Tranzium and Fayoled are still ironing out details for Verge's profit allocation.

Just thought I would share here as I know some PINK supporters use this forum and not Slack.

Introducing Picasso, the altcoin market maker bot for Bittrex.

Have you ever wanted to be a Market Maker on an altcoin?
Now you can, with ease!

Picasso paints graphs using a detailed settings page of 3 different order types in collaboration with a targets page.

It is much easier to show you his settings and the process rather then try explain how he will paint graphs for you.

So let's get started...

The first and most important thing, is setting up his targets to create the waves that are necessary in a market.
Targets work off of a % basis, and determine what Picasso will do over time.

Once you have created your account on https://auto.exchange.pink/ and have activated Picasso, you'll need to set him up.
Click on the configure button.

Before getting in too deep with all of his settings, it is important to set and understand your targets.
Click on the link to the top right for targets.

Once you're on the targets page, you'll be presented with 2 blank tables. The one on the left is where you'll input your targets as a % value, and the one on the right will convert them to Satoshis upon saving.

In the following example, there is a starting price of 105 SAT's and you'll see that my targets are set to achieve a 2-300% increase in the price over the span of about 20 targets.

You know the coin you're about to run it on, so it's best to spend some time editing and saving your targets to see the Satoshi values before proceeding to run him. This can be used to paint any graph you want. You can set 1 target and reassess upon completion, or set 100 targets and check up on it every now and then.

Now that you've set your targets and Picasso knows what type of graph you'd like to paint, it's time to tell him how.

So let's go back to the main settings page by clicking the link in the top right corner.

The first block [generic] is whether you want to run it live, or just in test mode. And whether or not you'd like it to output all his actions.

This next block is where you set the coin code and your api keys.

The next option is [book], and only has one value to input. Bittrex will allow up to 500 orders open, and Picasso divides that by half allowing 250 per book (buy/sell). We have maxed it at 249 just to be safe Wink
Once this setting is achieved, Picasso will begin cancelling other orders in order to be able to place anew. So if you're set only to 50 orders, once there are 50 in the books, he will cancel one then place a new one.

Next up are the settings that will accommodate your targets, which will be followed by the 3 different order types. So I will explain them now.
He places orders (market orders), undercuts (limit order undercutting the top order in the appropriate book), and overcuts which places limit orders in the books beyond your next target.
So let's say the current price is 100 SAT's and your next target is 80. Picasso will undercut and place market orders into the buy book to achieve your 80 SATs target. The whole time he is doing this, he is also placing/filling the buy book with orders at 80 and below in the event that the market moves with you, you will catch a bunch or cheap coins before bouncing back up.

So back to the next section of the settings where the picture becomes much clearer.

First is your goal. This is in seconds, so 3600 = 1 hour. He will dedicate 1 hour to each target, if a target is achieved early, he will sit back and hope to catch a dump or pump (depending on the direction he was headed). This will make a little more sense once you understand the full extent of his order types.
Second is your spread, Picasso will undercut in the correct direction until he sees this spread. Once the spread is achieved he will begin placing market orders. Once the market orders increase the spread again, he will revert back to undercutting. Doing his best to maintain your spread.

Orders:
These are the market orders that will be launched once your spread has been achieved.
Everything about Picasso is best used in a wide range to help keep yourself hidden in the books.
Quantity is the size of the orders he will place. 0.0005 being the Bittrex minimum to as much as you feel comfortable per order. In the image below he will market sell/buy anywhere from 0.0005BTC to 0.12345678BTC. He will also do this randomly between the 2 time settings, in my settings he will place a market order every 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Overcuts:

Read above for quantity and time settings.
These are the orders that will be placed beyond your next target in hopes that the market moves with you before you change directions.
The only setting that is new here is how far beyond your target you would like to place your overcuts (landmines).

Last but not least,
undercuts:

These will be placed in order to maintain your spread setting. The setting specific to undercuts is by how much you wish to undercut the the current top order. Again, this is set as a range to keep things random and undetectable.
In the following image, every time he'd undercut it would be by 1 to 13 SATs.

Picasso can be found on the Pinkcoin bot website https://auto.exchange.pink/
Picasso costs 5BTC to unlock permanently.

We are constantly upgrading our bots, maintaining and improving them. If you have any more questions about Picasso, or any of our other bots, please feel free to contact us.

A portion of all sales go to support/buy $PINK.

http://www.reddit.com/r/pinkcoin/comments/375uzk/verge_the_btc_syphon_for_pink/

Quote
Pinkcoin recently launched a new system ran by the exchange.pink engine called autochange. This is a collection of trade bots for Bitcoin, initially everything went well, but with the crypto world still being so small, it was just a matter of time before the bot logic was cracked and people started playing against them.

This experience tought us all a lot of valuable lessons in both trading and transparency. So we decided to make a new, better and more powerful Bitcoin trading bot, his name is Verge.

Verge is a dedicated Bitcoin syphon for Pinkcoin alone, he has successfully been trading BTC for profit for about 2 weeks now and brings it all over to Pinkcoin buy support.

Here's how the system works and will help Pinkcoin. Verge's weekly profits are sent to Bittrex and placed in the books as buy support. When his buy order is filled, he then sells the Pinkcoin for a profit via http://crypto.pink/verge which in turn sends the BTC directly back to Verge increasing his balance and ability to create more profit for the following PINK purchase.

This cycle will continue to repeat itself with the power of exponential growth in both Verges balance and his PINK buying power.

For this to be successful and really improve PINK, everyone should regularly check to see if Verge has any Pinkcoin for sale. If he does, we should all be buying directly from him (even if his price is a little above market), as it will allow him to make more BTC and buy more PINK the following week.

We will be posting his profit and weekly updates here on Reddit. Here is a screenshot of his current balance and profit for the week. http://prntscr.com/791zd3

Concept in the works... Only a few more pieces need to be put into place.

#DONATE4life

You can now donate to the NBCF on a monthly basis, for life, for as little as a one time payment of $5 today!

How it Works,

You begin by purchasing a staking address from the foundation.
Once the coins begin to stake, they will be removed and forwarded to the NBCF donate pool on your behalf, in your name (optional).

At the end of every month the accrued PINK will be sold and donated to NBCF from the #pinkarmy.

[LINK TO SITE FOR PURCHASING / PAYPAL]

If you don't care to have your name known and don't feel the need to have a specific address to track, you can donate directly to the NBCF staking pool here.
[PSZfrK7q4FrSTRnbaA2T2JyjzmSoY4zZzm]
The staking pool is just another permanent address that has the stakes forwarded to the donate pool.

If you would like to donate in PINK, have a permanent address for staking and/or have your name attached, go here.

Brink - Automate your Bitcoin trades
https://auto.exchange.pink/

Brink is essentially a build-a-bot to automate your Bitcoin trading. He costs nothing upfront, as you are only charged 20% of profit. You must deposit BTC into your autochange account, and as Brink closes for profit, the fee will be deducted from your autochange balance. If your balance reaches <0 BTC, the bot will wait for the current positions to close, and stop opening anew until you refill your account.

Of this 20% a portion is dedicated to both Pinkcoin and Jumbucks for buy support. So if you are not one for running bots yourself, you can still invest in either of these coins and benefit from their success. On top of that, 2% of the fee is dedicated to referrals, so if you know someone that could/would benefit from automating their BTC trades, create yourself an account and share your referral link with them.

Brink settings explained:

Generic

Output is where you'll be able to watch what Brink is doing real-time.
Debugging will output any errors your bot encounters.

Example of an output:

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

Exchange

Brink is only on OKcoin, so here you can pick which market you would like him on, and include your api keys.
When creating your api keys, we do not need, and recommend not activating the withdrawal access.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

Order

Here you can enable/disable longs and/or shorts.

Choose your leverage preference.

Ratio offset: This is where your orders ratio will begin, so -0.6 in the example is to cover the fee. This is necessary for when you set your take profit. If you were to take profit at 1% with a -0.6 ratio offset, the bot will know to close you at 1.6% to get your actual 1% profit. If you leave this at 0, and take profit at 1%, you would actually be closing at 0.4%. I will elaborate on this more in the profit section.

Book Spread: This is what determines when Brink will execute an order, you can have it act from no spread (0) to whatever you please. The wider your spread, the less active but more accurate your orders can be. This also varies a lot between the market you are on, weekly spread is a lot tighter then quarterly for example.

Delay close: Brink has a unique trick when it comes to closing orders for profit. If you are set to take 1% profit on a long and that price is at $220.10, but the top sell is at $220.20, Brink will undercut at $220.19. If your delay is at 10 seconds, he will continue to reposition himself, doing his best to get you the most profit possible. If he places it at $220.19, and someone undercuts him, in 10 seconds he will move his order lower, doing his best to remain the top order to lock in your profit.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

New orders
This is where your strategy with Brink will truly come in to play.

Open Delay: He will reposition your open orders according to this setting. You can have your orders go in and out of the books quickly, or have them sit for awhile. Typically if your levels are near the top of the book, you'll want to reposition often, if you're keeping a good distance, you may want to sit for awhile.

You have up to 10 levels of orders to position each signal (dependent on your spread setting).
The first two boxes per level are your contracts. 1 - 0 will always place 1 contract, whereas 1 - 3 will randomly generate an order between 1 and 3 contracts.
The following 2 boxes (overcuts) are the price range in which Brink will place your contracts. In the event of a long, these levels are based off of the current top order. So if your settings are $0.01 - $0.10, and the current top bid is at $220.00, Brink will place your contracts between $220.00 and $219.90. The exception here is if your first value is 0, he will sometimes undercut the top bid, therefore placing your order at $220.01. So if your settings are $0.00 - $0.10, and the top bid is $220.00, your order will be placed between $220.01 and $219.90. If you always wanted your level 1 to undercut, you would set it to $0.00 - $0.00.

Here is an example of levels, and their ranges shown beside the order books.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

Hedging

In this example, if you had a long open, it would ignore all short signals until your long was at +10%. If you wanted to always open the opposite order regardless of the current positions ratio, you would hedge above -100 and below 100.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

Stacking

This is the setting for averaging up/down. If you're in a long, he will ignore all other long signals unless your current long position is at -10%, in which case he would place your long open levels upon a long signal.

You can use this to build on negative orders, positive orders, or set them both to 0, and let him just open upon every signal.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

Long positions and Short positions

This is how you tell Brink when to take profit or cut losses for you.

Cut Loss: A market order that will GTFO once this ratio is seen. Depending on the market you are on, the spread and liquidity, this will likely result in a loss for more then your setting.

Take profit: This is the % you would like to see the order achieve. This is always in the book ready and waiting, it will cancel them according to your close delay, and replace them just in case the spread allows for him to undercut for more profit.

Per profit level: This is in the event you would like to take profit in chunks. If you have 10 contracts open, and your per profit level is 10%. It will place them according to your take profit %. In this case, 5% tp and 10% levels would place 1 contract at 5%, 1 @ 10%, 1@ 15%... This are repositioned according to your close delay as well, so if your 5% order is filled, and the orders reset, it will place another at 5%, continuing to do this until your position is completely filled and all orders have closed for profit.

Profit Failsafe: This relies on levels, and is similar to a Trailing Stop that is triggered per level. So if your level 1 at 5% is achieved, it and the price comes back down 4%, it will close the rest. If your order makes it to level 2 at 10%, it will essentially lock in profit at 6%.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

Maximum position

This allows you to set a maximum position size with its own cut loss and take profit settings. So it will build your position to this maximum and close according to these settings.

_______________________________________________________________________________ __

Here are some screenshots from one of our BETA testers taken today.

I've been beta testing Brink for about a week now. And it has been doing wonderful things. The key thing for this bot is that you set it up correctly. Since you have to configure it yourself, there is the possibility that it'll fail because you forgot to tweak a certain setting, or messed something up.

That's why I will recommend contacting the developers of Brink if you don't understand specific settings.Or simply come by our Slack group to get some examples to use as settings.

For me, after 1 big failure I now figured out how to make it work. The trading history pictures in the post above are mine. So you may get the picture of it's possibilities. Note that those results are from just one day. Also Note that the above settings are done with a small balance. If a user has a bigger balance, you can configure brink that way so it takes full adventage of the balance. Meaning you can get A LOT out of brink. Swing by our Slack group when you've got any questions, There's always someone around to help you.

For reference, this has been its performance from today june 15th. (Day isn't over yet)

Thanks for the post kokes.

Just an update on Brink, I turned shorts off a couple days ago and set him up to build longs and take profit in levels. I would have no doubt made more by simply holding the first long he built, but none the less, it was still a great run.

Can you explain the fees of Brink? It says it takes 20% per profitable trade... If someone takes 20% of every profitable hand of blackjack your return drops horribly, so surely it doesn't work that way or it would not be profitable for the users. How does it determine and segment 'profitable trades' so that fees are only taken from actual profits and not just regularly from all trades?

Pm me your email and I'll get you an invite.

The purpose behind PINK is to raise money and awareness for charities. Pinkcoin has been around for awhile now, and has tried and experimented with many different routes. Some more successful then others. The last few months have been focused on trading bots to help generate some revenue for PINK before we begin our next marketing and charity campaign.

Lots in the works and coming up, you will learn a lot more in the slack room.

Can you explain the fees of Brink? It says it takes 20% per profitable trade... How does it determine and segment 'profitable trades' so that fees are only taken from actual profits and not just regularly from all trades?

The 20% fee on our bots, is based off of total profit. Unfortunately we could not find a functional way to refund upon losses, instead we used an algo to make sure that our fees neverare never taken if they exceed 20% of total profit. So in the event of a bad trade / loss, the fee charges will stop being taken on all following profitable trades until you get back to where you were and the fee =< then 20% of actual profit.

Hope that makes more sense.

EDIT: This was more an issue with Penner during the last few months of sideways on BTC. As for Brink, when a user is first getting setup, they may experience a couple losses, but for the most part, Brink is capable (depending on your settings) to maintain a 100% win ratio.

It was, continued being, is and will be a scam coin. You should read about it in the many threads here -uncensored one, not like this one, of course-, such as THE WALL OF SHAME, THE STORY OF PINK COIN or  the abortion conceived by its current devs called SEED COIN.

Real informative.

Alright, this is the last bot build and addition to autochange, for now... Wink

Bittrex Accumulator Bot.

This is a much more generic / toned down version of Picasso. You simply set a max buy price and a minimum sell price, and the range in which you would like to place your orders, and how often. You can both undercut to push the price in a certain direction, or overcut to fill the books behind the top orders.

_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________

Generic Settings

You can run this bot with live disabled to see what your settings would have it doing.
Output enabled/disabled is to view the bots actions.
Quantity Max is the amount of coins you'd like to accumulate before the bot turns itself off.

_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________

Exchange Settings

The coin you'll be running it on and your api keys.

_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________

Global Order Settings

Friendly fire is to prevent you from placing an order at a price you are already at. If you disable this, it will always place an order, irrelevant of your current positions.

Price, this is the undercut / overcut setting. It looks at the top order price and goes from there. So if your setting is -0.00001000 - 0.00001000 and the top order is at 0.00001000. The bot will randomly place orders between 0.00000001 and 0.00002000, both undercutting and overcutting by 1,000 SATs.

Time is what depicts how often an order is placed, randomly between your settings. In the example, it will randomly place an order between 10 seconds and 10 minutes.

_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________

Orders, buy and sell.

You can activate or deactivate a specific order type and only play one book.

Price max for buys is the highest price you're willing to place an order at.
Price min for sells is the lowest price you're willing to place an order at.

Size will randomly generate an order for that BTC amount between your two variables.

_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________

Example of an output

_______________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________

This accumulator bot is a one time purchase of 0.25 BTC and can be unlocked and used on https://auto.exchange.pink/

I'm trying to provide a recap of some of the ideas that were discussed in the Pinkcoin slack channel. Apologies if you've already read the discussion on slack. I will put some of the ideas onto the bitcointalk thread since here is potentially a larger audience for discussion.

The following considerations about Pinkcoin are my opinion and not a trading advice (e.g. to sell or buy Pinkcoin). I do not represent the developer team. According to fayoling Pinkcoin is an open community coin where many people can contribute.

Thanks to all who replied to my previous post!

I previously asked the question: "Where can I find here information on pay-with-pink or any serious discussion in support of the coin? "
Then I received a few answers, for example:
"There's not really anywhere to read up on it all as we just build stuff and update people as questions come up.

My thoughts to this were:

Pink has a great name and one of the better communities compared to other altcoins.

There are though things, if we look from a realistic perspective, that should be improved:

1. A coin needs a purpose.
- I like the charity idea but a coin is unlikely to run on charity alone.
- A bot doesn't give a coin a purpose, the bot can only work as price support (if it works).
- The anonymity feature of Pinkcoin relies on a centralized server and is therefore not strong enough to compete with other anonymity coins.
- What is left is the "pay-with-pink" for which I do not find information on the slack channel or on bitcointalk.  "Pay-with-pink" is the single most interesting project that bears the most potential for Pinkcoin. Why is there so little focus / information?

2. A coin needs marketing.
...
- Is there any approach of the Pinkcoin development team to actively reach out to businesses to promote pay-with-pink? What incentives do businesses have to use pay-with-pink?

The answer was that the main developer team already experimented with the pay-with-pink idea but pay-with-pink got thrown to the backburner for 2 reasons:
- the fiat conversion seems to be a challenge
- vendors are required who actively participate in pay-with-pink.

Basically, pay-with-pink means that the customer pays with Pinkcoin to make a purchase. There are two main transitions:
1. Fiat ---> Pink (customer needs Pink)
2. Pink ---> Shopping (customer uses Pink for shopping)

Interestingly, the main developers are about to complete a conversion tool (there was a screenshot on slack, it looks intuitive and easy to use) that allows to convert Pinkcoin to a multitude of cryptocoins. Let's say, if a vendor accepts Bitcoin for payment he or she already can accept payments in Pinkcoin.

For me this looks like for transition 2 (=shopping with Pink) Pinkcoin should already be in a good position once the tool for automatic conversion into BTC is fully up and running. This will allow any shop who accepts Bitcoin to accept Pinkcoin as well.

In my opinion the most important question to solve is: "What incentive does the customer have to use PINK and not just buy the product with BTC or fiat?".

When compared to credit card payments the Pinkcoin advantage is obvious. The credit card company charges significant fees for example swipe fee, transaction fee, statement fee, monthly minimum fee and so on. The most risky one being the chargeback fee which would not occur when paying with Pinkcoin. These fees usually are hidden from the customer but the customer pays it because it's priced into the goods.

If we could get some arrangement with the shop owner to give some percentage, let's say 2%, back to the customer it is a win situation for the shop and it is a win situation for the customer. It would be possible to introduce a structure to determine how much of it goes into charity for a good cause, how much is the advantage for the customer and how much is incentive for the merchant. If the customer consistently get's a 2% (this is just an example figure) discount on all purchases it would be a strong customer incentive to use Pinkcoin.

A marketing strategy would be to ask shop owners directly if they are willing to provide a small discount for Pinkcoin customers.

It might be out of the comfort zone of a programmer to call vendors but this would be an ideal task for a marketing student who tries to gain some experience. Does anybody here in the forum know some Marketing students?

There was some indication of the developers to integrate pay-with-pink for a little fee or even for free into an existing website if the shop provides a a small discount for Pinkcoin customers.

DCmartin is one of our newest, brilliant Pinkarmy reps, too bad he's been talking to himself on here.

As of right now, this thread is now among many others that will stay permanently open in my browser.

Thanks DCmartin for the push.

Edit/Addition

http://playpoker.pink/

For those that are unaware, we brought PinkPoker back a little over a month ago.

This time we added an affiliate/referral system, your link can be found on your account page.
You will receive 5% of the rake from all your referrals, we will likely be bringing levels into this in the near future, but for now, it is a flat 5%.

Currently being added is a sponsored players program, this will be a bonus for all the PINK millionaires as well.
You will likely get 100% rake back, and earn a commission of all the rake acquired during the hands you play.

I like the discussion dcmartin is starting here. The main feature for businesses to use paywithpink imo is the option to turn some none or all of the transaction fee in to a donation. The ideas are all here, continual staking rigs set up for the charities so people can donate for life to save lives. Also I believe the incentive lies with the consumer themselves to encourage their online retailer to accept pink. That is the #1 incentive for a merchant to accept paywithpink because a would be customer asked for it. But the main hurdle is how to get the message to people who don't know about crypto. Also there are a couple huge companies that have branded themselves PINK. The main thing imo that seperates pinkcoin from other altcoins out there is the positive brand awareness to charity. So i think the key would be to give consumers and retailers a platform that allows for secure fast transactions with minimal fees. The savings that would have gone to Credit card companies can go towards savings for the consumer possible donations through PWP or a rewards system for using PWP. If it became successful it could operate like any other rewards system like airmiles or groupons. Nice to see some discussion in here again.

Also I will be blitzing twitter about Pink Poker. Its demeaning I know but someones got to do it. Would appreciate any support out there.

cheers

Just a "heads up" message, the orphan chart is showing a worrying trend

IME this kind of trend often indicates something is not going right, and a fork could be happening.

Some developer intervention could be needed (with a checkpoint), or more wallets staking 24/7 with good connectivity. Also be wary if you are a large stakeholder of only staking with good connectivity to many nodes, or you could unintentionally cause a fork.

Good to hear that pinkcoin poker has not been abandoned and is actually adding improvements. I'll add the referral link to my twitch stream and stop by occasionally to look for some action. If there's any decent stakes being played I may go for the sponsorship deal.

I'm really deep in the crypto-poker world and have introduced many people to it using my stream. If whoever controls pinkcoin poker wants to have a discussion about ideas and how to attract players just send me a message.

Dear Pinkcoin Warriors,

Dcmartin, reading your posts is like a breath of fresh air, thank you for your brain. This is a great idea, I'm not a marketing student but what the hell it's never too late to start something new lol. I know Wordpress has been accepting Bitcoin for a while now for websites and blogs, I wonder if they would be willing to accept a badass altcoin like Pinkcoin too. I'll try shooting them an e-mail and see what they say.

Ha, BitcoinNational, funny seeing you in the Pinkcoin thread  Grin

I'm buying at least a million for pinkcoin poker, hoping to help get some traffic there.

The wallet is definitely sluggish. It had those problems before, but ya, some 'not responding' and high computer load. I hope a wallet update will clear these issues soon.

Holy moly. I finally synced and unlocked my wallet after several months and have been getting endless 1.5+ coin stakes. I didn't realize they would build up like that. I used to get like 0.006 coins every few minutes when I staked it non-stop, but this is just a constant deluge, cool!

As I know, PinkCoin Windows Wallet 1.2 RC1 is working with no issue -try this one.

By the way for about 90$ we can become pink millionaire at the moment - cost not so much to have a fun with pinkcoin.
Is this coin pure POS with 1% inflation a year now?

We are going to get a new wallet made here soon.  If anyone knows a good wallet coder please feel free to drop a line.  Paid gig potentially.

Crypto.pink has v1.2.0.2, I've had 2.0.0.1 for a year or so, is v1.2 really newer/better?  Undecided

Oh I think I get it, you released an improvement to an older version, and will improve V2.0 if the upgrades prove stable. I guess I'll just wait for the V2.0 upgrade. Somebody said something about a new staking protocol, any idea when that will be implemented and what it will be?

Yes this version improves the size of the staked blocks therefore improving stability I believe...an improvement on an old version.  If you are experiencing any lag or freezing feel free to try this wallet.

If you have not stopped by the Autoview channel in Slack there is a fantastic new product for you to use.  Built your own bots based on your logic using Tradingview charts on OK and 1Broker!  No 3rd party issues and the logic is all you now!  The two biggest issues with the previous bots addressed in a big way.

This is AutoView available on the Google chrome store...

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/autoview/okdhadoplaoehmeldlpakhpekjcpljmb?hl=en

A list of commands for reference on Github...

https://gist.github.com/tranzium/34727307c823dfa75e49

For more information on Twitter.....@Pinkcoin_etc or Pm me your email for access to pink slack community and the Autoview channel.
We also have @Jumbucks to thank for allowing us to have a presence in their awesome community as well where you can read up in the bots-by-pink channel.

May you have great success with this amazing tool!

Well folks its time to upgrade the coin to something that suits our goals as a go to coin for fundraising.  There is lots of discussion over in Slack and it would be a shame to not have all those who have vested interest in the coin to have a say in the process.  Unfortunately it is hard to have the conversation on multiple platforms so this is a brief update of sorts.  Current plans are to re-issue a new coin with the desired coin age restrictions staking % and algo to something that supports the act of buy, hold, stake, donate....  IE: the donate4life campaign which is a one time purchase that donates for life.  New wallet, graphics and mobile are key requests in the process and are being discussed daily.  Feel free to dm for invite or up up @pinkcoin_ for an invite to the slack channels.  That being said...

We have a developer on board and are very close to pulling the trigger so please stop by, leave a message. Exciting times ahead!

Clone has been decided and new wallet and fork underway.  From what I understad this will be a smooth transition to the new Pinkcoin, simply open up your new wallet contain your balance!  No need for a swap with a third party like an exchange!  Amazing work I must say.  Graphics are underway and slowly but surely we will get to launch day and the #donate4life campain.  Mobile wallet on the horizon along with some other goodies...  Thank you to current developers for all the hard work thus far!

Stay tuned.... Grin

FYI the tipbot for twitter has been updated as well with fresh images and a new handle.

@pinkcointips has now replaced @pinkcoinlottery.  Remember 50/50 tickets purchased go to support our Breast cancer fundraising campaign.

Update on the 50/50 bot:

Up and running with automation and draws biweekly.  Jan 16th moving forward.  Support the cause and tip some 50/50 tickets.

Eg:  @pinkcointips 50/50 @jmzxng 1

That would buy 1 ticket for @jmzxng.

Good luck!!!!  Let's make this a wonderful tradition.

Awesome. You might want to edit the original post to include the new site if that's possible. Also, any plans to get on a payment service like CoinPayments? I could see PinkCoin being used as part of branding for a business that sells pink stuff or works with breast cancer research foundations.

@amedbodi is coding our new coin and @meta is working on the wallet.  Unfortunately school and jobs have made the procedure slower than we like but it is definitely going forward.  We do see you pop in from time to time, hope we can help satisfy some of your concerns the next time you stop by.

@Cryptorox and @Tranzium are hard at work releasing awesome updates to the Autoview program which is very near to being a flat out atm for pinkcoin buy support.

So again unfortunately things are coming together a little slower than one would like but we are all definitely here and working hard when life allows.

Myself, I am trying to spearhead the project in the current direction and am always open to feedback.  I am the creator of the pinkcoin.ca site and most vocal member of the team currently.

Recently we added a quick way to top up your twitter acct with credit and debit via PayPal.

58 new followers this week alone and our first donations trickling in...  the snowball is forming hopefully.

What we need is for all of you to start tipping 50/50 tickets and help get the word out about #donate4life.

Back to work tonight as I plan to add some links to men's breast cancer research as well.  Definitely something I was not aware of but really should be part of our plans.

Hope to see ya and have a chat soon over in slack.  Till then take care.

I would love to change the original post but we have had a hard time contacting Sony.  Will keep trying as he is still a big holder and has done a fantastic job for us in the past.

I envision the exact same thing for the coin and hopefully towards the middle of the year when our new coin is launched with mobile wallets we can start the retail segment of our plans.

I really see a spot for us in sports with the Pink campain already being embraced.  Our 50/50 is tailored for this and could save some teams alot of money in labor costs in stadium etc....  It would also allow for the home viewer to participate and really kick up those jackpots.

So many possibilities with this amazing brand...

Awesome. You might want to edit the original post to include the new site if that's possible. Also, any plans to get on a payment service like CoinPayments? I could see PinkCoin being used as part of branding for a business that sells pink stuff or works with breast cancer research foundations.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Did you think about protecting our PinkCoin community coin as a trademark?

Working on it as it costs upwards of 600 dollars and we are looking to raise the funds to keep these guys from infringement.  So far they are being very disrespectful with blatant lies about not knowing about us to using our ticker in their failing crowdsale.  With raising funds for the new coin etc...things are getting a bit expensive for our pace.  Even with the trademark we would then need to pay lawyer fees etc... to enforce cease and desist.

I have been very upset with the theft of our name/brand.  It has definitely lit a fire under our ass to say the least.

If this would be openly discussed on bitcointalk you might find support for the trademark. It would make PinkCoin more valuable.

Excellent point slack is a wonder tool but really closes you off to other communities.  Some of the other team got really tired of this place, which in hindsite may not be such a wise decision.  I will try harder to stay active here and give a nudge to the others as well.

Great work by one of our team members on our new wallet today.  It looks like we are going to be able to leave this QT land and move on to something better!  Which then opens doors to the mobile world for us from my understanding.  For me, moving away from the same wallet every coin has is exciting.  We plan to offer a way to donate in wallet stakes as well if all goes well which should really help us raise that donate4life wallet balance.  Hopefully our first few donations this year are meaningful amounts.  Baby steps...

Just a heads up I have a meeting with Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation this week as we further our goal as an accepted currency.  Exciting times ahead....

I addition we decided to automate the tipbot to send 50/50 tickets to random followers.  If you want to participate you can automate your own 50/50 ticket distribution as well...visit http://cosmiclottery.com/account/automate/

I also added a chat page to the pinkcoin.ca site here.....   pinkcoin.ca/chat

Continued work on the new coin it is coming along and should be just around the corner!  Thanks for all your support to those participating.

Todays meeting went well and was super exciting to attend.  Lots of interest and lots of education required as the process moves along.  Boy do we love explaining crypto to fresh faces eh gang?  I left feeling really optimistic and with a process to follow for acceptance.  So we will work on the required information and submit as soon as we can and allow for them to evaluate.  I have a more detailed write up on slack.

Well gang, meeting went pretty well hopefully we're one step closer to acceptance(edited)

Baby steps gang...I would be tickled "pink" if I can bring this home and change so many lives.  We really need the wallets on the go... can we hammer out some deadlines this week and come to some agreement on the process @meta and @ahmedbodi ?

cryptorox [9:25 PM]
Awesome stuff @aaron
That's cool to come home from work to.

aaron [9:25 PM]
I was nervous dude

[9:25]
Lol

cryptorox [9:26 PM]
Haha no doubt. Sounds like you nailed it thoygh

aaron [9:26 PM]
Irina was wonderful to speak with

[9:26]
She did not know anything about bitcoin.

cryptorox [9:26 PM]
Lol. Damn, so you had your work cut out for you lol

aaron [9:26 PM]
Tried to employ KISS as much as possible

[9:27]
Ya and no wi-fi ...I brought my laptop for demo

cryptorox [9:28 PM]
Lmao. I've made that mistake before haha.

aaron [9:28 PM]
Tried to setup Hotspot but decided to use screenshots I had on file

[9:28]
Phone was to slow

[9:28]
Talked for 47 mins!

[9:29]
I introduced her to btc and explained the possibilities in the near future

[9:30]
Then went on twitter and introduced her to pinkbot(edited)

[9:31]
Explained #donate4life which was a bit tricky

[9:31]
Then pc wallets

[9:31]
She asked many questions

[9:31]
Biggest was what do we want from them

[9:32]
I asked for acceptance and for them to keep an open mind towards digital currencies.

[9:33]
We would love to simply send you coins and for you to embrace the payment method.

[9:34]
We can create a token for the pink brand and expand on it through retail as a way to drive brand loyalty.

[9:35]
I then mentioned minting coins again and our plans for in wallet donations of staked coins.

[9:35]
So in order for us to develop our partnership we have certain criteria to meet as does everyone else

[9:36]
Usually it's a company wanting to use the logo so this is unique.

[9:37]
We have an application process I will dm to those involved for a read

cryptorox [9:38 PM]
Right on man, sounds very promising. What did she think about Pinkbot?

pinkbotBOT [9:38 PM]
Hi!

aaron [9:38 PM]
Once we take care of that and provide info they will give us a looksy

[9:39]
They are moving to a national model vs provincial so there is a bit of a staffing issue as things sort out

[9:39]
I think I explained microtipping well

[9:39]
She was not a twitter user as well.   Lol

[9:40]
I showed her pinkcoin_etc tweets with tips and 50/50 tickets

[9:41]
Explained how we have other games as well that could be expanded on if that was of interest.

[9:42]
I really tried to focus on giving the person with limited income the ability to donate and get that great feeling without breaking the bank

[9:42]
While having fun on social media

cryptorox [9:44 PM]
Perfect. /slow clap

aaron [9:46 PM]
Oh and I wore my pink dress shirt...

[9:46]
Lol

Anyway stuff is happening and the / balance is a killer k coins going into the draw on the 16th!!   Probably .1 btc.    We could really use the support of all the old pink gang and get out there and automate a tweet a day or something.

Take care, the journey continues.

Thank you...  We could really use some help with participation in the 50/50 draws.  Grab a few tickets and help spread the word.  Last draw was over .1 bitcoin or 133k pinkcoin.  Currently around .06 up for grabs or 60k pink which draws on the 1st.

Life is busy and not much to report at the moment but hope to have some free time to follow up on things and do some updates etc this week.  Thanks again for the kind words and hope we can earn your support once more.

Why should I do that if from poloniex I can pickup 222k at current price for 0.1BTC? Is it not easier and cheaper to get them from polo?
What can I "win" getting them by 50/50 draws? or 50% is just charity spend of BTC?

Small heads up:

94k pinkcoin paid out in the last draw to @jbstipbot.  If you look the http://pinkcoin.ca/donate4life wallet is now over a million coins and growing...!!!

Continue to wait on development of the new wallet and coin upgrades.  Some UI stuff has trickled in and basic maintenance on the site as free time permits.  Albeit slow the wheels are turning.

Recent high of 60 sats over at Polo and crazy numbers of visitors last weekend due to some effective tweets.  Over 230 visits in a single day is absolutely wonderful to see.

Please take some time to sync your wallet and help support the network.

Thanks for caring

Well the 50/50 draw only cost 100 coins per ticket.   Last winner was over .1 btc or 133k coins.  If you wish to buy pink directly by all means.  If you want to buy tickets yourself follow @pinkcointips and enter appropriate commands.

The #Donate4Life wallet is well over a million coins now and growing every hour!  All these coins are removed from circulation and act as a burn address thus reducing supply!
