Just a quick reminder, this is a moderated thread, and attempts to ruin the quality of the discussion taking place will be removed.

We intend to keep this thread as a healthy place for discussion and questions about the BitBay project. We do not intend to let this thread devolve into the unfortunate condition of some other threads here on the forum.

This would be a good time to thank the forum members who have involved themselves with substantive and well thought out discussion and questions these last 30 pages. This is the atmosphere we intend to have in this thread.

Thanks.

Hi There

The wallet will be ready for download as a part of the ICO completion terms with Bter.

Testing on the wallet with integrated smart contracts is currently being done, and barring unforseen problems David expects this to be released within a week.

Amazing support so far.

Total coins sold: 552,337,867
Total coins left: 447,662,133

About 44.7% of the coins remain for sale on BTER. 28 hours remaining. Still plenty of time to get in, but do remember the price goes up 1 satoshi every 2 hours.

We are all long time forum members and understand how important a well moderated and updated thread here on Bitcoin Talk is

We intend to keep this thread as a healthy place for discussion and questions about the BitBay project. We do not intend to let this thread devolve into the unfortunate condition of some other threads here on the forum.

Right now you are confusing me.

Question 1:
What is your original nick if you are a long time forum member?

Question 2:
If you are a long time forum member, which existing coin you have associations with if any? Since your developer is David and many investors feel very much mislead by Blackcoin here in BCT, I have to ask, do you have any association with the Blackcoin team?

Question 3:
Since you are long time member here (even you felt the need for registering a new nick) which other threads you are referring to that have "devolved into unfortunate condition"?

The so many IPO, ICO, ITO and all kind of scams completely destroyed our market. Therefore, in order to bring back money to our market, transparency is more important than ever, and some clarifications would be much appreciated.

Hi AltcoinUK

This thread is moderated by several of us who are working on the BitBay project. Hence the shared nick BitBay Team. Insofar as we post here on behalf of the project, personal nicks are irrelevant. Also inquiries as to which coins we are personally invested in.

With respect to 'which threads have devolved' there is absolutely no need to list those threads. I am sure you can name three or four, and others on this thread can add to that list. The point here is that will not be happening with this thread.

As far as any issues you may have with David and Blackcoin, I suggest you take advantage of direct communication with him or the Black Coin community. That would be the proper forum for that discussion - not here. Our experience with David has been nothing short of remarkable. He is a key member of the BitBay team and we feel fortunate to have him working with us. As he has noted several times in this thread, the tech we are currently developing will also benefit BC projects to a significant degree.

In summary, this thread will not become an arena for coin vs. coin, he said / she said, general airing of discontent etc.  This is the BitBay thread  - a place for constructive, courteous, and informed discussions on the BitBay project and associated technologies among both investors and people interested in BitBay.

Thanks.

So who are you, and the rest of the team? Also, what is the distribution model for those funds that are raised?

There are no issues with David. He is a very knowledgeable developer, he has answered here with civility and much professionalism.

No, it is not irrelevant. You are asking money from investors here by promising future development and a profitable partnership, in the meantime you feel your original BCT nick which might already associated with unfulfilled promises, failed developments, left behind investors, ICO or scams is irrelevant? If I understood correctly, you are collecting hard earned cash from possible naive, uninformed and inexperienced investors, but you don't feel transparency and reveal what kind of long term BCT users are behind this venture is important. Since you said you have a long term nick in this environment where 95% of the coins are broken promises, scams, I believe knowing your original nick and to prove that you have no association to the scams is very important.

Please let us know who is behind this coin. This market seen so many scams since June. We understand David is not a scammer, but - since you are a long time user - we would like to know who is collecting the money here.

To summarize, the information we know and what David and the Bit Bay Team revealed here

a) We know David is a very talented, intelligent and knowledgeable young man, he is capable to write software

b) We know (because David said), he is financially broken, he is in Cambodia for rebuilding his life and has been contracted by the Bit Bay team. He is writing the software for BitBay (as he said). He is not the master mind behind this coin, he has no control over the 3000 BTC, he is not the recipient of the US$ 1.2 million ICO but the Bit Bay team.

c) The Bit Bay team, as they said, long term nicks on this forum, however they felt the need for registering a new nick for collecting the US$ 1.2 million. For some reason, a 3000 BTC ICO can't be associated with their existing community and market identity.

d) The Bit Bay team refuse to disclose how the 3000 BTC will be distributed

e) The Bit Bay team refuse to comply with requests to reveal their true identities and prove that they haven't been associated with existing scams and broken promises.

If I am correct, that's where we are ... and I am sorry for spoiling the 1.2 million US$ money collecting party ... but, because of the scams our market has lost all its credibility and most importantly the trusts of new investors, there is no new money is coming to this altcoin market, I believe it is everyone's interest to have an accurate information about who are the money collectors here.

Actually we have no desire at all to have investors who are - in your words - naive, uninformed, and inexperienced. It is essential that investors do their due diligence both on the technology, the market niche, the risk / reward, etc.  In the case of Bitbay, these factors are clearly outlined: a decentralized marketplace with integrated smart contracts and future expansion into mesh networks and IoT. The second phase of this roadmap - already discussed in great detail on this thread - involved hedging and pegging mechanisms that are designed to be quite advantageous to BitBay investors.

The market niche here is also clear: we intend to be the first decentralized marketplace with worldwide adoption. The marketplace will launch in January and be upgraded according to the OP.

As the project develops we will be posting bio's on both team leaders and the different individuals responsible for the key areas in BitBay. The first set of bios will be online later this week and several our key players in New York, Taiwan, Korea and London. Many of the key players in our projects will not play public roles. Some have NDA's that both with us and their respective private sectors. Others do not wish to be part of the public profiling due to their country of residence or other reasons. These are the people 'behind' BitBay. BitBay is an extremely ambitious project. We would not have been able to recruit the team we have  - especially our members from the commercial, financial, & investment worlds - without establishing clear lines in these areas.

thanks

Ok Altcoin, we have tried to answer your concerns. This post begins to move over into the realm of fud.

We will make one more attempt to answer you:

- David is an extremely capable programmer and does not need you commenting on his life situation.

- The BitBay ICO funds are being spent to hire teams of programmers and develop technology. Considerable investments are also being made in vendor networks, user interface IT, & marketing structures. Both David and the other mods have repeatedly discussed aspects of this. As for you wanting to know exactly where each dollar goes, that is not your prerogative.

- We have repeatedly replied to your questions about our team, the structure of our staffing, NDA's etc.  and encouraged you to check the website later this week for more bio information.

Please refrain from further posts of this type. If you have decided not to invest in BitBay, that's ok. But further attempts to fud this thread are not ok.
