Sounds like a plan.  Good luck to you.
I sent S0br and email suggesting he take this thread down or update it or something.  I think the pool registrations are locked now anyway.  At least they were a week or so ago.

I think he took the wrong thing down?  Roll Eyes

Kano runs a good pool.  I throw mine on CK.solo once in a while to see if I get lucky also.

f2pool just had a good day and found 3 blocks. The pool is good if it's under 2 PH but once it gets to high the blocks quit coming.

Slush is another good pool just don't pull your miners or you may lose any shares if a block is not found fast after moving the miners. You can also look at some of the other major pools.

Why not use Eligius? I think s0br is probably updating the site, since he was creating a new layout and design a week ago.

he kind of probably should have emailed everyone before taking down everything and having me wake up to my miners offline. its a good thing i setup ck.solo as the 3rd pool.. even tho finding a block is along shot.. its better then nothing.
i had geo, and geo2 as the other 2.

Sure you can ... actually you should ... mining to NiceHash deposit address (given when you register) is not supported (only used for buying hashing power) ... just set you existing Bitcoin address as you username on miners.

I mined on Eligius and didn't like it. I don't like the fact that the pool has been sitting on coins that were kept from a miner that tried to steal them from the pool. I quit following it but as far as I know those coins were never delivered to the miners that they should have been paid to.

The payout system is kind of screwy in my opinion. Try it and see what you think.

Thanks for posting Biffa as anyone that is on IRC can see out of the 1000+ miners that are on the pool only a fraction get on IRC chat and it took all day until someone posted something here to the miners that chose not to use IRC chat.

Actually to be fair, there are probably more people on IRC constantly than have ever posted in this thread over the past few weeks. And people join/leave the IRC channel all the time. Its not like its a hidden way to get news/support, its there (or it was) on the page in the help menu.

In fairness I have not been on it at all in the last couple months but before that when I was on it I found it to be very inefficient. Unless s0br was on it you never could get a answer unless it was more of a  technology question. I did a lot of lucking on it and it just wasn't for me and a lot of my questions went unanswered. Also it seemed I was lucky to see maybe 20-30 at any one time on there or at least logged in. I think you have a lot more lurkers here than you do on IRC chat but that is my opinion.

EDIT: It also seems its better to just post important information or news than hope for a hit and miss approach of the IRC chat.
