Pool URL: https://mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com
Signup at: https://mining.bitcoinaffiliatenetwork.com/index.php?page=register
Blocks: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/pool/bitaffnet
Payment System: PPS + 10% Bonus.
Payment Intervals: 1,2,4,8,12,24 hours.
Merged Mining: Currently NMC (PPS)

A team of us have been actively developing what we consider is technically the most accurate/transparent/profitable pool in existence.

We're transparent. We're accurate. How can we prove that?

Use your miner's statistics... not ours... to determine what your payout should be. Our pool statistics should only be second to yours.

Example:

Step 1...

This user is using a 2 TH Prospero X3 kit. Hashrate 2,030GH/s.

Using a difficulty calculator one can determine that this hashing speed should yield: 0.001074 BTC per hour.
(2030 GH/s plugged into https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty at network difficulty 39603666252)

Step 2...

Miner configures their account to pay every 2 hours at our mining pool.

Step 3...

Observe payments coming in....

* Note: It's important for us to be able to pay you at exactly the interval you specify plus or minus a few seconds. This reason being is that this makes it easy for you to visually see that you're getting paid what you're supposed to.

Based on expected return of 0.001074 BTC per hour... since this user specified to be paid every 2 hours... the earnings should be 0.002148 BTC. In the image above you can easily see that the payouts performed were very very close.

We also give you the average hash rate (calculated from the shares submitted by your miner) between each payment interval. We do this because it'll allow you to see easily verify that we've been accurately counting/paying the shares you've submitted throughout the entire day.

How do we stack up against other pools?

One of our users did a 7 day test comparing our mining pool payouts to the following pools: (Ranked in order of highest paying to lowest paying)

1. BitAffnet
2. Eligius
3. Ghash.io
4. f2pool (discusfish)
5. eclipse
6. BTC Guild
7. Bitcoin.CZ

View here: http://bluebearnc.com/comparing-mining-pools/

So what's there for any miner to risk trying us out? Give us one hour of some of your hash rate and see the numbers for yourself.

You're welcome.

-BitAffNet

Quick glance at some features...

We offer a realtime time lapse graph of your workers. It updates every 5 seconds.

We have a very accurate work information box that also updates every 5 seconds.

Round progress... I know we've grown tired of looking at a simple % indicator for indicating progress so we're now showing the top difficulty shares submitted in the current round thus far...

And a quick payment information summary box...

Our global stratum network...

New! Stratum geo server. It automatically selects the closest server to your location.
stratum+tcp://geo.bitcoindigger.com:3333
stratum+tcp://geo2.bitcoindigger.com:3333

See our geo stratum dns resolution work here: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/geo.bitcoindigger.com

New! Port selection
Port 3333 for vardiff (default)
Port 3334 for maximum 512 difficulty (for slow miners < 750 GH/s)
Port 3335 for fixed 2048 difficulty (recommended for S4 and Dragon miners)
Port 3336 for fixed 8192 difficulty (future use)

You forgot to test against kano.is Smiley

Due to luck we've paid out 200% for anyone mining since the start (~1.5 months)

More than 200% for anyone who started just before the long 10 block run of under 100% at the moment Smiley

Transparent? See the entire source code for the pool on bitbucket Smiley

Do we hide where the extra BTC came from?
No.
It is simply luck so far and yes that will eventually change.

We don't say we are paying an extra X% out of magic - it's simply been pool luck so far.

You're also a PPLNS pool with a 0.9% fee as of writing, with luck on your side, you would win... But should you ever get a bad streak.... Sad

Quite a few of the miners on the pool are also rig renters who prefer paid per accepted share than having their earnings ninja'd out from under them by someone, with luck, directing large volume prior to a block being found.

You do realise that there is no statistical basis for that?
It's actually bullshit and a complete lack of understanding of PPLNS.

Meanwhile BAN is paying out an extra 10% so eventually they'll either go broke and the pool will shutdown, or they'll stop paying the 10%.

Yes your arguments are FUD or misdirection Smiley

Really not the place to comment about fundamental differences of PPLNS and PPS...  Both have their benefits, and both have their downfalls.  Quite seriously not knocking your pool, would prefer to see more people take an open policy.  My reply was giving people more info about your pool that you felt strongly enough to post in someone's pool announcement thread and then quickly retort when someone thought some more info would be needed.

No, you made a vague statement about PPLNS implying something that is based on someone being able to do something impossible: predict when a block will be found.

And since you missed a more important point:
There are 2 mining strategies that should not be used by pools.
Prop and PPS.

Prop, since hopping will mean long term miners will be paid less per share than a well informed hopper.
PPS, since block withholding will not affect the block withholder or other miners, but will be a direct loss to the pool, so any small PPS pool that receives a withholding attack shouldn't expect to last long.

200% is pretty great... if that's true then I'd be happy to put a link on our pool to your site... heh...

I'll have someone run some tests. PPLNS has that 'chance' that it may pay better... however it's a gamble. We chose not to support that payment model because it's very technically simple to hide blocks... and that's just not acceptable for us... anyway...

I think our users enjoy the consistency and predictability of our payouts...

I'll check you out Wink

chill boys, chill . . . let the miners themselves to decide for themselves. very simple test & i believe most miners have at least 2 or more miners available.

just test it for a couple of days (to be fair to whichever pool that you're comparing to) & make your own decision.

so far PPS is a huge risk to operators but that would not affect the miners that much but the good thing about PPS is that you get paid instantly couple of times a day or more (depending on your settings).

PPLNS does pays well or VERY well sometimes when the "luck" streak comes along but still have to wait for a block to confirm then only get paid.

PPS , get paid fast and constantly, get to use btc whenever needed ie price is good wanting to sell quick or to purchase something, etc

PPLNS , get paid slower, if in a hurry to use btc, you may not get it quick enough.

pros & cons, chicken & egg, let miners decide themselves.
.....Really?

Deleted comments/evidence from pool thread.
Pool thread still locked.
Barrage of insults from the same few BAN shills, ongoing.
Etc, etc.......

I see no transparency there.......

Have a read of the scam thread, you'll see what I mean........ Wink

I have personally been mining at BitAffNet since august and can say I have had no problems. Yes occasionally the hot wallet has run out and payouts were put on hold for a few hours, but besides for that I have had no problems.

As for the 10% bonus, I agree it cant be sustained for ever, but while it is here it makes perfect sense logically to mine at the pool. Dustcoin had their own pool previously that used to pay out a 1% bonus for mining with them and while they were around I made 1% more then I was supposed to.

Relating to the Miner giveaway, I personally received 2 antminer S3's for free and have had them running with no problems.

No, you made a vague statement about PPLNS....

Here's another vague statement from s0br about PPLNS:

BTC Guild is a joke because PPLNS is a joke.

So many quotes like this from s0br scattered around this forum.....the only joke I see is his credibility.

Then I suggest you check again - as this is simply not the case. Some well respected forum members (gmaxwell, saltyspitoon) explain perfectly how the trust system works here:

You may need to learn how to read. I said a scammer. A scammer is someone who "scams" someone. If I go and and steal all your money I am not a scammer I am a thief. The trust system is a list of people who say that they do or do not trust you. They can trust you for what ever reason they like. Anything from doing a physical trade with you or simply because they like your name.

BitAffNet has never scammed anyone as far as I am aware. If you have a real problem with the pool maybe you should explain what the problem is in clear words with out cursing and you might get a response.

You've repeatedly said your issues with me, s0br, and the pool have nothing to do with profits, and you've repeatedly gotten irate over people posting off-topic in your threads.

How about you follow your own rules?

This thread IS about mining profits and this BS is off-topic. Since the issues you have aren't about mining profitability, this isn't the thread for your lame-ass commentary.

If all the other places you've posted this nonsense haven't gotten you the respect and vindication you're after, it's not going to come from this thread either. We get it. We hear you. It just doesn't matter.

Thought I better correct a glaring piece of FUD in there Smiley
Highlighted above in bold red

It is a concern that a pool operator doesn't understand the catches and pitfalls of bitcoin pools and bitcoin mining.

The pool can steal their own user mining blocks they find and not pay them out to the miners.
They cannot hide/steal the blocks found by the miners.

If the pool is mostly full of sockpuppets/fake users that are owned by the pool, then yes the pool will be able to hide that % of the pools blocks.
However, the higher the %, the more obvious it will be when the pool block find rate drops.

You cannot hide the miners blocks and be in any way sure you will not be found out.
You will most likely be found out.
Any miner that finds a block will have that information available to them in the cgminer API and the cgminer log.
So if you have been sending the miner work that doesn't match the rest of the pool, so the payout goes somewhere else different to the rest of the pools blocks, the miner only has to notice that they found a block (who doesn't notice that?!?) and the pool will be caught out as the scam that it is for stealing the miners payouts.

I'd also suggest that: ... that also happens to be a major crime in most countries to steal close to $10,000 and usually it's not too hard to track down the owner of a pool and send the police over to visit them ...
