I think this could be the last we'll see of ask walls before breaking $7.2. The correction was triggered by pirate's change of terms. When the bitcoinica payouts get going, it will continue the rally.

ah, is that what triggered the increase from 5 a month back? i never did hear a solid explination.

i don't post much, but this space for rent.

We're approaching all time highs on the visible amount of USD in MtGox - almost $1.6m.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

It looks like we're getting into a $5-style situation... we're going to be here for quite a while, as walls build up on both sides.

I agree.  I can see the price bouncing between $5 and $7 for the rest of the year.  Mostly because that's where pirate told me he was going to keep it.

That orderbook makes me doubt the "bouncing between $5 and $7 for the rest of the year" scenario Cheesy

Orderbook is the orderbook though, it doesn't tell us everything.

Quickly looking at the volume history, it looks more like a bunch of ask orders were removed rather than bought.

the asks moved up a level
get ready for 7.10$! next weeks rally could end up to 8$, and then bitcoin might just do something epic and move on to 10 in a 1hour of trading..
