According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

i accidently ated my secret sauce! Sad It was scribbled on the napkin i had wrapped aorund a big, fat beef hotdog that was smothered in mustard. Was so good, before I realized it the napkin was gone too.

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

Those games with "walking walls" are naive. I am surprised many play this fool game. The strategy is still the same - try to ignite rally and then remove wall and sell a lot at higher price. I wish someone rich sold 30k BTC into his walls.

So do those walls imo. That's like a big flashing message that he'll make it worth your time to dig those keys out of storage.

What would you do if you wanted to buy a half mil worth of coins right now? Gotta get the word out.

I would not remove them at 7.90 and later put on 8.00. He does not want to buy BTC. He wants to sell high.

That is certainly a game people can play, but one should not assume every wally is playing this game. The mega wall today placed two large orders that went through, this second large order now pushing the price up to $8.50. If he was playing the game, he is risking huge amounts of money to do so. People with lots of money tend not to be so outrageously risky.

More likely explanation is simply that someone wants to buy a bunch of coins.

Maybe Pirate finally pushing in all those buys for the coins he sold at $10-$12 a pop ;p

edit; then rinse and repeat for $18-$20 in a few months. I'd imaigne he would have better luck with keeping the price down next round though.......... . . . .. .. . .... ...     ... - - ...
