GAW has been a joke ever since the whole "Project Prime" reveal began. I was mainly comfortable with them before, but once it hit that point my ponzi detector started going off. Since that point I've been incredibly critical of everything they say since huge claims are being made but none of them actually materialize. I sold half of my primes at this point.
Next came the Paycoin announcement and "whitepaper". It was an absolute joke. I made a big post on Hashtalk pointing out all the issues with their 'whitepaper' just from a business perspective. GAW_CEO responded and basically said, "You've already made up your mind so I'm not even going to dignify your questions with a response." It was at this point I decided I would sell the other half of my primes when the right moment came.
Now, the HashStaker announcement has blown up. It seems like the masses are finally beginning to open their eyes to what a few of us have been seeing for so long. There are just so many things wrong with the entire idea now that you really have to be drinking the Garza Kool-Aid to not see it.
Because of this Hashstaker announcement, the price of Hashlet Primes has raised to over $50 on the Zen Marketplace. Perfect time to sell my remaining primes and get totally out of GAW.
No regrets for my time and money spent with GAWMiners. I disagree with what they're doing, but they're letting me get out whenever I want. I just hope other are aware of the risks and don't lose a ton of money.
Take care!
Ditto what you said. Hope you can get out and still get most of your money back. The market for selling primes is growing. I spent the past two days selling off my primes. Now its just a question of getting my BTC out before the shit hits the fan. I'm on my fourth withdrawal "pending approval." Sheesh... There is a ton of primes trying to get sold so I think that we both aren't the only ones whos BS-detector has turned red. I had 200+zens and 130 primes that i sold off during last 30hrs or so. I transfered 16btc in one tx. It took maybe 8 hrs but it arrived. I got out at approximately same btc as i put in, so now i only have 100% risk free hashpoints that might be 200 paycoins that might be 4k$ Although I am sure it will be very hard to liquidate any paycoin. It will probably be delays, fees, only pc/fiat and whatnot just to keep the house of cards up as long as possible.

I've always been a bit skeptical though of going that route should some mishap occur. I tried making 1 btc withdrawals in rapid succession and the first two times the third transfer got held up. Yesterday, I made incremental transfers with an hour gap and that worked for a while until GAW put one on hold at the end of the evening. Now my first transfer of 1 btc today got flagged for whatever reason. I swear I can't get my money out of there fast enough. Not trying to spread FUD to anyone still on the fence on this, yet, there has not been one course of action taken by GAW in the last two days, especially given the above which would lead me to reassess my decision to close up shop with them.

[/quote] you can do 4btc at a time i found though they have a withdrawal threshhold check. 721 primes on market. 3 days ago it was 79 entries. watch what happens in a week miners not want to stake pull out and they wont be able to pay out enough. dont upgrade your primes to prime stakers. leave them as is and sell 2 hours after prime upgrade announcement. its a day away. some gaw faithful will take them off you. they've all been warned so i dont consider it taking advantage of them.

hi all
There are a few things I don't understand .
Some of you say it's a scam and are trying to get out by selling and get their coin out .
I could withdraw (small amount yes ) and in no time . Moreover if all are selling. why the price is still around 50 $ ?
Moreover why are you worried if you already ROIed a way or another ?
I wonder if sometimes it's not a tactic to scare people and buy prime cheap ? (like when prime where at 30$).
Feel free to do what you want but for my part I keep the primes I have left (I take my chances ) and ..... wait and see.

you are entitled to do that and your opinion on scare tactics is valid. read the entire topic first please. concerns people have are due to GAW giving no solid info constantly. im out because it doesnt feel right. if i wanted to just have faith and trust id go to church. this is business and i need facts. if i had invested < $1000 i wouldnt be scared. i was in for 37 bitcoin or roughly $14k. thats why i ran. im happy to be cost neutral on it. i have hashpoints so no risk. if it works out 5 btc. else no loss.

Also, while I am totally getting out of GAW, it will be my most profitable investment. Most of my money was made from buying Primes cheap and selling them at more than 3x the price.
Initial cost of Hashlets: 1.605BTC Generated by mining: 1.993BTC Selling Hashlets: 5.96BTC Overall Profit: 6.348BTC
In regards to Paycoin, I plan on selling all of mine for $20 as soon as possible.
Paycoins I should have: ~109 (currently have about 43,000 HashPoints). Assuming $20 per Paycoin: $2,186 At current BTC rate: 5.776BTC
So if all goes well, I'm looking at about 12.1BTC profit from my initial investment of 1.6BTC with GAWMiners. I guess Ponzi's are good if you get in early. I do feel a little bad knowing this BTC is coming from gullible people, but I guess I'll just be selfish in this case.
Be selfish like me. If you're not comfortable with the idea of Paycoin, get out now and make some good money.
Interesting math. You've done much better than I did with my 1 BTC puchase. Did you have any converted hardware? I have sold off most of my Primes, have 6 left, purchased same stalkers because I couldn't withdraw my last $60 . I have barely broken even, give or take a few bucks. I did some experiments that lost me money though, e.g. with Genesis, with the Market etc.

how did he turn 1.6btc into 1.993btc mining....? is the difference the mining revenue i.e 0.33btc?
can you post what you had in hashlets e.g 1.6btc bought 15 primes @ 37$ each and mined zen for 10 days with each prime giving me 0.0006 btc a day.
this would be interesting to see

Likewise - if you already made that decision why would you worry what anyone else says or does? Stick to it and report back when you're rich I'm personally very much in favor of everyone making their own decisions, no matter how flawed or irrational it might look to me. I wouldn't take investment advice from forums and I try not to give out any either. I do however believe in the need of information to base those decisions on. And unfortunately a lot of "official" information on the subject of this thread is incomplete, confusing, false, unproven, unrealistic etc, turning a decision into more of a gamble, often with very bad odds. So you shouldn't be surprised that some people decide to not gamble.

I'm selling half of my primes. Josh's latest bullshit is the straw that broke the camel's back (no longer doing PoW). I'll happily sell my Primes (bought at $10ish) to some bagholder at $50.
Will have close to 1200 Pay Coins as well, just in case this shit works.
I've decided I don't want to be a part of the long term Pay Coin plan. Hopefully Primes will increase in value so I can dump the rest north of $80.

@numanoid: if they ever get to 70$ again, I'd sell immediately. I guess the general public are waking up, it's doubtful that prime prices will even go up again. It will depend on how cunningly the CEO formulates his next round of prime promises.

Some of the best advice I got as a newb BTC trader was the cliche "Sell into strength" along with "Nobody ever got poor taking profits." If you see a significant rise in price on something you hold (or need to realize your paper profits), then you sell. Sell 20%, 50%, 100%, whatever.
