Well now that you mention it...how many of the 10 Commandments did these guys break?

Pretty much all of them, except murder.

Wait.

We know a dead animal was sent thru the mail.

Murder!

Don't even get me started on 7 Deadly Sins.

They all hide behind a mask of piousness, but they only worship themselves and material gain.

Lyin', Deceivin' Joe Mordica, egomaniac "father" Adam and adulterous, self-styled "Weird Christians," J & J Garza.

I forgot where it was, but this pretty much sums up what I think about Stuart Fraser and whether or not he was guilty.

As for the charge that GAW is a Ponzi scheme, Mr. Garza pointed out that his principal partner, Cantor Fitzgerald Vice Chairman Stuart Fraser, in whose name the patent for one of Wall Street’s most important bond trading programs is listed, has “got more to lose than all of us combined.” He added, “Why would a guy that already has a ton of money, and would get thrown in jail if he was involved in anything sketchy, be involved in a scam?”

There is no accounting for taste but I'm quite sure you could do better than that Smiley

Ok, the thread is officially going to shit now and I'm complicit in it too... time for a break. Have a great weekend everyone!

"A Mississippi electric company has filed suit against GAW Miners for non-payment and breach of contract.

According to court documents, Mississippi Power Company (MPC) is seeking repayment of roughly $224,000 in services, as well as nearly $50,000 in costs incurred specifically for servicing GAW.

MPC is looking to collect an additional $73,493.48, an amount the utility claims it is entitled to as a result of the alleged breach of contract.

The suit was filed on 8th April in the Southern District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. The electric utility is being represented by Mississippi-based law firm Balch & Bingham LLP.

In total, MPC is seeking $346,647.29 plus interest and any court fees associated with the suit."

Hey I know ....in lieu of a $346,647.29 payment to MCP,
(good lord!! and i thought my electric bill was huge)
homero could just use one of those prime controller thingies and just have it firehose a few million xpy.
that should cover it.

oh wait a minute... he did firehose xpy...dont think he paid the power bill tho...I believe he sent them
to Corruptsy and cashed out a boatload of bitcoin.... (because his lawyer doesnt accept xpy..ya think?)

Just wanted to thank truckinusa for posting the info about the victims list etc.  Grin

I never got a letter (I had opted out of the GAWsuit at the last minute on the advice an attorney) and only have internet sporadically now that I am homeless (unemployed, messy divorce etc.)
I will be calling the agent in charge of the investigation this week.
Hey if nothing else I get to tell my tale of woe and how the GAW scam contributed to it to someone that is paid to listen.

When we list losses I wonder if we can put them in terms of current Btc prices?
That would make my loss to the scam more like $30K rather than the $3K it was at the time (which came mostly from the rigged trading system), I'll have to ask.

One final thought; Homer Garbanzo had Better do jail time, preferably in excess of five years, but even a year would be very satisfying to his victims.
I wonder if there are any biker gangs that lost money in crypto? Hopefully Joshy will find out.

Recommended sentence is 30-80 months.  Your story may push it closer to 80 months.  I didn't like the shady connections to GAW so I opted out of GAWsuit also.

What would really be interesting is if someone had any interactions with the staff besides HJG.  Maybe something that could be reported to the authorities that would implicate them also?  Maybe someone with big money had a direct line to Fraser?  Who knows?

I'm sorry to hear about your woes. Please do call the FBI. I doubt they would accept the current BTC value as basis for the loss but it doesn't hurt to ask.

And also I would like to add that despite this threads history of sometimes over the top tasteless humor
in this whole affair,(bitcointalk in general, goes with territory) me being one of the offenders, I do believe that
everyone here now,me included (but definitely excluding that kermy shithead) empathizes with your plight.Sorry to hear about your situation my friend. Hope you can see some payback in the coming months, be it restitution and/or jail time for the perpetrators.

Trouble in paradise! Just got this email.
Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Hello ionomy,

Over the previous week a vulnerability in the ION blockchain has been systematically exploited. In response to this attack, the ionomy team, in concert with ION community developers, has been updating the code to mitigate and block the attack, and to correct the vulnerability.

This requires a hard fork and a rollback of the blockchain. Testing for the new wallet is currently under way and a release candidate is nearing completion. We will post another update with more details about the attack, outlining the steps we’ve taken to protect and improve the blockchain going forward.

In the meantime, we have taken measures to mitigate the harm from this attack. At our request, Bittrex suspended deposits. All ionomy.com wallet functions, including the “Buy ION” feature, have also been suspended. Any pending transactions or purchases will be credited when the maintenance and updates are complete.

Thank you for your patience. Please bear with us while we finalize the releases. Please remain alert for our next message so you can update as soon as the new ION wallet is ready.

Regards,

The ionomy team

I looked at their blockchain with a whopping 430 wallets and I don't see any anomaly where someone is suddenly taking on coins or losing them.  Wonder what is going on?
