So.. if the SEC decides paycoin were an unregistered security... how does that work? For example, if you sell unregistered stocks in a company, do they declare the stock invalid? It seems that Josh is probably sitting on a couple million paycoins and even if he gets convicted of anything, he stands to walk away with a hefty chunk of money when everything has died down.

One thing I have notice repeatedly is how MrGanza™ turns into a bully when he doesn't get his way. He always offended when others play honestly. He was clearly going to cancel the order once he got his confirmation as he had no need for "real" miners since he had already moved on past that silly business to "always profitable" PNG's
I like this part. >>>> On Wed, Oct 22, 2014 at 9:17 PM, Josh Garza < josh@btc.com> wrote: I did not realize you guys would not do it until the wire went out. So I look like a fool now. Narcissist much ?

Long story short: Garza wanted Yoshi to make a statement that they had ordered 6PH worth of Bitmain product without paying for the order.

As soon as hosted miners went "virtual," they became an unregistered security, a securitization of whatever operations were generating the income. We now know all Hashlets were unregistered securites, too. I don't think Paycoin is. If it is, that means bitcoin is, which means a world of hurt for any legit bitcoin company. I imagine after he's convicted, there will be a civil suit. I'm not sure how enforcing a judgement/settlement works, but it may be difficult for him to extract money if he owes it in a court action. Coinbase and Cryptsy are both US Companies. He'd have to find a venue for selling his BTC/XPY, and the email record shows that he's burned a lot of those bridges.

This is why people commit financial crimes. However, is his wife naked being leaked on the internet, her sexual desire in masturbating to his friends and lack thereof in him, his children growing up with their father in prison, as well as all the other shit worth it? Money is just fucking paper dude. The damage he has caused is worth far more than he can be compensated.

They have a huge amount of discretion in how they proceed, for instance. The SEC is not the only agency involved, if you read their complaint carefully (and we have no way of knowing more) but they left the door open for more agencies to get involved. For instance paycoin may or maynot be an "unregistered security" then they could have another agency go after GAWS or whatever name "the boy genius" had the transactions under, for wire fraud, mail fraud and numerous other charges right up to RICO charges. Seizures of property and bank accounts are always an option. Look at how they handled Silk Road and other related matters. Or the SEC could simply wash their hands of the matter... which is highly unlikely. But I dont know what is going on behind the scenes, I guess we will find out when they are in the mood to let us know.

The world's fastest growing Bitcoin exchange has had 0.005 BTC of XPY volume in the last 24 hours. That's 1 dollar.

So that's where Mordica appears
Joe Mordica (1201) $8,307.00
$100k isn't great for a CTO, but it could be with the right bonus structure and/or crypto payments.

What's striking is how low these salaries are across the board. Especially with the other numbers we've seen. Unless there's some massive crypto payments going on or some large bonuses (either of which might be true for Capuano or Mordica), this is really just a vehicle to make Josh rich.
There was one email a while back that articulated BTC payments to a few of the principals. Anyone have that? It might give us a window into total compensation.

He probably had promised them a %stake in the company. Seems to me he promised out over 100% of his company to others so that tells me that he never had any intention to honor it. Also, as was suggested, crypto payments were probably included. There should be email somewhere for that though.

Amber and Eric will be flying into Mississippi tonight at 9:30 - Lord Mordica will be your chauffeur
Joe, Amber and Eric will be departing Hattiesburg at 8am Sunday morning.
Carlos, Luke, Amanda - please be at BDL _no later_ than 11:00 am on Sunday morning. When you get there you will need to go to the customer service desk to inquire where you need to go for private flights. I will continue trying to get a hold of the airport for instructions, but as for right now, I am unsure.
Josh and Jessica - I am lying to the team in telling them to be at the airport at that time, shhhh...the real time to be there is 10:30.... :) wink wink In all seriousness, please attempt to be at the airport by 11:00 am as well...or 11:15am when the others can tell you where you

...and so it ends -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Missed communications? Date: Mon, 13 Oct 2014 22:02:24 -0400 From: Juliette Dunlevy < juliette@geniusesatwork.com> To: Dan Pease < dpease@geniusesatwork.com>, Dan Kelley < dan@geniusesatwork.com> Good evening, I went into my office this afternoon to find my desk had been gone through as well as attempts to access my computer. This concerns me as my office holds key company information that does not need to be accessed unless I am informed. I in no doubt believe you both respect the privacy and importance of the security of my office, and that the reason to go through my things and computer was because there was a company emergency. I will go through my emails again in case I missed what information was being searched for. In case i cannot find the email, can I please be informed of the emergency so I can advise where the information can be found. Thank you, Juliette
