Did you ever notice this?
This is a vague comparison so don't quote me on this,
This thread was opened 9 days ago and there is more people posting that gaw is a scam posts than most of hashtalk's posts combined in the last month. Thats not a good ratio.
And we're not paid to post by obtaining hashpoints.
Huge red flag right there.

This is Siberia and here are those who Stalin purged.

when there is a blood bath for GAW, it affects the entire bitcoin community. Newbies will end up calling Bitcoin as scam  Angry what GAW is doing is not good for the industry.

Hashtalk only consist of noob kool-aid drinkers that don't know any better and get rock hard when the CEO talks.

They're all in for a rude awakening.

What I noticed is that your account was made just 5 days ago and this is your second post, yet you're using the word "we". Whose sockpuppet are you?
The biggest red flag is people making new account to spam this thread.

BB is not happy:

https://hashtalk.org/topic/19378

(edit: I have no clue what the "hotel on Mars" is referring to or what facts coinfire were caught making up months ago)

I have no idea where that is coming from either. Perhaps he can produce some messages showing where the hotel on mars story is, or what we were making up. I'm fairly certain both statements are made up from him Wink

We are dropping a bombshell soon that shows more lies from Shopify and he claimed we didn't reach out to him but have proof of that otherwise we will see what he has to say.

Can you please provide proof for your previous statements as well?

Even though I hate to agree with the hashtalkers, they are right that you could have fabricated the whole thing.

Which previous statements? We published the names. Do people really want to see the actual emails and phone records? Do you demand that of every other journalist?

Look at our track record, we have brought valid, honest reporting to every other topic. We have countless times over delivered news that has turned out to be true repeatedly before anyone else.

BFL, I personally tweeted pictures of the orders the weekend before they were public in my very hands. We posted the SEC letters everyone said was FUD (and now a few startups have confirmed they received them), we brought USMS auction news and quotes. I think our track record really speaks for itself regarding this.

For those demanding "proof of statements" we will be posting the emails and what not soon but I am sure people will say we photo shopped those as well. Believe what you want but we stand by the reporting we do.

1-800-Flowers weeks before the announcement, USMS auction details before public, SEC letters, BFL court orders before public, our track record again, really speaks for itself. Repeatedly we have been told BULLSHIT only to come out a few weeks later that what we said was accurate.

I am going to be personally sharing how we write news, what we do to get leads, who goes and talks to people and what not in the near future. Even sharing our internal Contributor's Bible (minus a few redacted parts of secret sauce and competitive info) on our site. These things don't just happen overnight though.

Hopefully you can also find whoever hacked you.

We hope so as well, we've asked law enforcement to intervene with us and brought in a third party security auditing company to pour through our logs.

We know how they got to editing our homepage at this point, we have IPs and we have some other information but it is going to take some legwork to find out exactly who did it.

I think there are more people there who believe in a company, you don't have the official team "purging" anyone. Though there are areas on there for people to rage a lot on there just honestly believe in the company, here at BTC talk it is always Guilty until proven otherwise.

When people lie I stop believing, especially if they
turn out to be serial-liars. I´m not into faith-based
investing. I want yield, results not obfuscation and
changing stories and tanking income and value of my
investments.

Aww, isn't that thread cute  Grin

pandageekflameandthewholepolishgawfanclub trying to redefine the word "will". Doesn't get better than that.

Seriously I sometimes think that some of GAW supporters on BCT are double agents. No one could be so dumb to cling to obviously false statements with such fervor. If they really had GAW's best interest in mind they would just shut up in situations like this and when these Amazon/Target/etc partnerships actually happen they could ride back in on their high horses yelling "Eat it FUDsters!!!". Of course that would require brains, patience, and the promises to be true.

I gotta say, I didn't know about coinfire.cf before this incident. Now, I check your site for new stories a few times a day and I've spent a lot of time reading older stories. In the end, a good thing came out of this, and that is, that you have at least one new viewer Smiley I can't wait to see how this plays out though.

If they staged this hack it was a brilliant move. The publicity they got by hyping this thing was priceless.

The rose-colored glasses on HT peeps is incredible. So the first comment on the WSJ announcement/article is officially trolling according to HT:

Quote
"There is a troll on the first comment there."

And the first comment is:

Quote
"Be sure to look at other forums and not just the official GAW forum to get a better idea of the company."

Not sure how that comment qualifies as trolling exactly but I guess anything that doesn't say how awesome GAW is "is" trolling. See what I did there  Wink

So there are a couple of interesting things in there that for some reason were not important enough to share in the whitepaper or elsewhere.

PayCoin is going to be some kind of sidechain appendage to Bitcoin?

Quote
Transactions in the new currency will be embedded into bitcoin transactions
.

As was quite obvious from the pictures there is only one datacenter/warehouse and not multiple or 12 or whatever numbers were being thrown around. 15 MW is ~20 PH/s at AntMiner S3/S4 efficiency levels.

Quote
According to Mr. Garza, his Bloomfield, Conn.-based company’s cloud mining operation is run out of a 180,000-foot Mississippi warehouse with 15MW electricity capacity.

This is questionable though:
