Wow... somebody just bought approx. 20%+ of all of Bay for approx. $540K+!

Brilliant move!
Basically take it off G**D*** line where no one can buy it in the States...
Kill the price before the peg... and then do that.

What a move.

I have been trying to buy more and I can't.   LOL
What a move... what an education.

Thank God I have not sold ONE Bay...
Yup... peg dreams bro. Wink

Hello BitBay Community.

I'm DavinciJ15 I´m developing Pandora´s Wallet and I am planning on adding BitBay to our wallet and test out the send and receive.

Can you please contribute a small amount to get the testing running.
BitBay Address: BFVRqbhy2rCtUEKb5aTi5CayVHBK15XVDT

Thanks for the help.

Be aware of the dynamic peg as you will have to keep track of liquid and reserve balances. Such as on www.dynamicpeg.com

There is going to be a new wallet for the peg? Will I have to switch coins?

You can keep the coins in the wallet however everyone will have to update either their QT wallet or the Markets wallet. We will trigger the fork once everyone is upgraded and also once the exchanges have properly tested integration of the peg.

What's the case with bitbay?

I see its a polish exchange, with some enterpreneur award listed on the website.

Is there anything coming up for BitBay? I'm holding some 7000 bay, but its been losing worth.

I'm a simple man, I see a small pump I ask questions.

Have a nice one  Grin

@Pajulapoiss
The Bit Bay Coin and Polish Exchange are not the same.
It's all been very confusing over the years.

Hopefully David and the team can make some kind of obvious differentiation between the two after the peg...
And hopefully this question gets the attention that a slight name change may need to happen to prevent this confusion in the future.
Thanks

I hope you are not a distracting Troll.
How could you not know about the peg if you own any BAY at all?!!

Anyway... here:

Watch the video.

Thanks for the interest in BitBay (BAY). It is one of the most underrated projects in crypto... for now.  Wink

Here's some more info on the Dynamic Peg (will be going live here very soon):
https://bitbay.market/downloads/bitbay-dynamic-peg-intro.pdf
https://medium.com/bitbay-blog/bitbay-dynamic-peg-faq-8cd257da63fd

You can also watch the team test it here:
https://bitbaymarket.github.io/ratedb-testnet/
That most recent dip you see on this testnet chart was an intentional selloff by the team to mimic current real life market conditions. The strong recovery right after is a combo of the peg freezing the supply liquidity by 99%, and a pathetic amount of buy volume (.5 BTC) being applied. As you can see, it's a very powerful tool.

Well you can see our peg in action on testnet at dynamicpeg.com

It tracks around $15 even when we try to crash it, it will eventually find it's way back to that level.
Consider though that this does mean some of the users coins switch from BAY to BAYR in the process of deflation. If a user sells
all of their liquidity they are unable to negatively impact the market.

Also there is a lot of info on our site at bitbay.market

There is also a good pdf explainer we use to talk to exchanges here:
https://www.docdroid.net/st3eM7n/dynamic-peg-visual-technical-reference.pdf

Where can I buy BAY right now?

LAToken
Cointelligence (https://www.cointelligence.com/exchanges_list/latoken/) says LAToken has very low trust (1/10). Cointelligence also says the LAToken exchange could probably be easily hacked. BAY not currently listed. (https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/latoken/)

Chaoex
Centralized. BAY not currently listed. (https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bitker/)

Bitker
BAY is not currently listed. (https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/bitker/)

Cryptobridge
Does not currently support BAY. (https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/cryptobridge/)

Nova
Cannot currently provide service to the US. (https://novaexchange.com/help/faq/)

Could this be the reason behind the price drop?

There may be a time where it's not listed until those deals finish. In the meantime best to buy OTC. Heck our software has a coins for cash template with double deposit escrow. However I think a veteran community member can also be worth buying OTC

I do get concerned with places like LAToken and we just have to hope coinintelligence is exaggerating. It would be unfortunate to see another OEX situation (although it really wouldn't surprise me). If that happens we might have to force double deposit for any future negotiations. Of course atomic trading is always on the table too. We always have options. Just will be a moment of patience until the listings are finalized.

Maybe LAToken is flaky. Right now beggars can't be choosers. Transfer your BTC to LAToken, buy BAY, then immediately transfer them to your laptop.

Could somebody please provide "How to Buy BAY OTC for Dummies"?

Where can I exchange BTC for BAY right now? Which exchanges?

Cryptopia went bye-bye.
Exchange.me only lists ABY not BAY.
Bittrex delisted BAY
So that leaves:
LiteBit
UPbit
BITLADON

Are these three all still good with BAY?
Is there any other place to swap BTC for BAY?

Thx
LAtoken will support US customers, Chaoex I think does as well and we are talking to 5 others. For now you can buy from anyone in the community by asking on Slack or Telegram and then buy through the BitBay markets client or Bithalo or even directly.

I would like to buy here directly. I don't use Telegram.
I could sign into Slack if is really required otherwise I would accept offers in privat messages over this forum
with amount and price.

Escrow is a must!!!
If anyone here from you hodlers has some to sell, please let me know.

Thanks.

Try posting a contract in the marketplace (see link in post right before this), that is the safest way for now while we're waiting for the exchanges finish peg integration.

Yeah escrow over the markets is very simple actually! Take a few minutes to complete a deal and it price tracks down to the satoshi with whatever max or min increase/decrease. Also if you go on Telegram or Slack it might be possible to find a well known community member who can sell. However at this point it might be hard to find anyone who wants to sell because it's obviously way oversold probably due to Bittrex dumping their coins.

My guess is that it's more likely that there are simply almost no exchange buyers. If I want to buy OTC I have to find somebody that follows BAY on one of the boards - the very type of person who is gung-ho on BAY. Someone who has given up on BAY would not be reading the boards, they would just want to take the simplest, most direct route to sell off as quickly as possible; e.g. to dump the shares on an exchange and be done with it. But no worries, grab the popcorn and snuggle up under your blankie.

From Bittrex:

##################################################

Wallet Removal on September 6, 2019
Julian Yap
August 02, 2019 11:12

We are removing wallets that do not have markets or are pending market removal. Wallet removals are a routine part of our ongoing platform management for performance and operational efficiency.

Any customers that have balances within these wallets, must withdraw their assets before September 6, 2019. After this date, the assets will not be recovered.

##################################################

So Bittrex will not be getting rid of spare BAY before Sept 6.
