Innovation with recognition is what will triumph over BTC. BTC in its current form isnt quite usable - it was a great invention but now innovation must be allowed to continue. LTC isnt quite the coin to replace BTC, but LTC is technically superior to BTC.
Which specific features of Litecoin make it superior to Bitcoin in your analysis? Because, frankly, I can't think of a single one. Oh a simple technical thing such as improved block time, is a big thing; Bitcoin's 10 minute block time makes it very impractical. Litecoin is better in that aspect. The other aspect, the supposedly ASIC resistant Scrypt algorythm is an obsolete advantage - so it doesn't count anymore.

As I pointed out to you upthread, the shorter block interval is not strictly an advantage - it is also a very real disadvantage. I implored you to convince me that you understood that this is a tradeoff, which you summarily ignored. Further a 4x (2.5 minute average) increase in block rate still doesn't solve the 'pay at checkout line' problem, so it's of no meaningful advantage, anyhow. The other aspect, the supposedly ASIC resistant Scrypt algorythm is an obsolete advantage - so it doesn't count anymore.
Well, at least you realize that this claimed 'advantage' is not.

Bitcoin is better because it has some usage, while Litecoin has almost no usage.
Technicalities are not important for the end user

I am so confused.
What is better? Which one do you guys recommend more?
Thank you for your time
I'm not sure it's really even a debate that bitcoin is "better", but there's a million reasons for and against each of the currencies. I'm just saying bitcoin is extremely volatile and under-accepted as it is and I don't personally see a reason to step towards and even more volatile, less-accepted currency that is primarily based off the former.

Litecoin can become slowly the "trading" altcoin. There is at least a trading site I know in which is much easier to move around using litecoin, as doing sells and buys in Bitcoin has a higher minimum.
I feel that traders can adjust prices more with a lower value coin that is still as fractional as Bitcoin, and can be transferred quicker.
Sure, there are other alts, but they do not have near the same popularity as litecoin.
That is because it was the coin that was released right after bitcoin. Correct? They are basically joined at the hip whether you like it or not. I personally keep both on hand.

BTC-E is what keeps Litecoin alive till this date. I wouldn't be surprised if the owners of BTC-E are major Litecoin holders with at least 10%-20% of the total minted coins in their possession.

Very rarely some sites accepts both litecoin and bitcoin along with dogecoin also. Litecoin needs to evolve more to match with bitcoin adoptions. I guess people see alternate currencies as investment to convert later to bitcoin.

"Right after" isn't correct. It took months for coblee making the first version of Litecoin, and IIRC, NameCoin was the first alt ever. The biggest problem of the alts is that, even they have a good purpose or try new things like Litecoin with Scrypt instead of SHA256, PPC with PoS, etc. it doesn't make them more special than Bitcoin.

Don't forget China. They lurve themselves a bit of Litecoin. It may be far lower down the rungs without them. Btc-e is definitely an LTC daddy too.

not many winners that do the exact same thing, and it's the only fault of litecoin for not being adopted yet, it does the same thing of bitcoin, so why we should have two same thing? when one is already struggling to suceed well one could argue that we have master card and visa, that are the same thing, and thus it could be possible for crypto also, but crypto is not well seen, like fiat, it may be the insurmountable obstacle...
