I see the litecoin price oscillate all the time but I think everyone knows that bitcoin is really going to come out on top every single time.

Generally speaking, LTC is more volatile.

Under construction.

Bitcoin now takes hours to transact, even with 0.0001 fee which is annoying.

I guess the price rise made a big impact on the network. Litecoin has +1 here.

Otherwise I`m a bitcoin fan obviously.

hours what? never took that long for me and i'm moving many bitcoin lately, always 10 min for first confirmation, standard average time, i'm satisfied

it was only slow in the stress test(and not for me anyway, maybe luck), and 10k fee until now were always good in my case, i can probably go with 1k only, and have the same average waiting...

I use 1k fee at present. It will take a few hours to get the first confirmation. The time depends on the value of the transaction. The lower the value, the longer the first confirmation.

Litecoin has a great price right now which is $4.50 Even if there is no development from it, it is not bad to hold Litecoins and Bitcoins at the same time. You can benefit from its prices and earn some profit. I only use Litecoin to store it on a paper wallet, and never spend it until price goes higher than expected. If Litecoin could be worth $10 or $20 each, then it would be great.  Grin

It does have though is trading volume
Which is still a lot more significant than the entire market cap of Dogecoin and every coin below it.

Wouldn't it be possible for someone to start development again?
I mean with this kind of trading volume, the coin still has a lot of potential.

Litecoin still has a value? Last time I checked it was slugging along struggling to scrape what you could classify "survival" along with the slump in BTC price. I don't recommend you get involved in Litecoin over Bitcoin, it's pretty bad now.

It moved a lot actually Diamond a Chinese Ponzi scheme pumped it really hard a few months back.
Oddly enough it kept a good majority of it's gain but is still down a fair bit from that all-time high trend wise it has the most resistance of the alt-coins I have been observing to the Bitcoin increases but yah I think going Yolo in Bitcoin right now is a smart move.

I don't think that litecoin has a great future like bitcoin. Bitcoin is more popular than litecoin and has a great market cap and the users of bitcoins are increasing rapidly and the value is also going higher and higher. Comparatively litecoin is difficult to trust and don't think that it can compete with bitcoins So bitcoins is the better option to go for.

some people trust Litecoin is like a silver and bitcoin like gold
but so many other currency, XMR, Stellar, Doge , etc.
so in future litecoin can dead and other currency will replace litecoin

I think LTC will serve as a backup for bitcoin, and it will stay here long term.

If something happens to BTC, LTC will take its place.

However I still think NXT has better future than LTC.

But why? What is the point of having Litecoin as a "silver"? It's not like silver where it actually has uses as an alternative, Litecoin is basically just a clone that no-one has any real need for due to the existence and divisibility of Bitcoin.

I can't equate with bitcoin, because of course litecoin would be lost,
true litecoin like a silver, and bitcoin as gold
I have not thought litecoin was going to die, until now ltc has a great value

litecoin is always there behind bitcoin,
so I think when something happens on bitcoin, LTC is also affected,
LTC will not be able to takeover bitcoin

I think if something happens to BTC, LTC will suffer too because they are very similar in technology, in fact LTC is just a fork. The are not different enough to serve as a real safe haven in case BTC enters some sort of fatal error (which is not going to happen anyway, not realistic enough of a situation).
