- Has the actual coding/development STARTED?

Explain all the ideas Understandable for the masses is  hard, not very hard but its take time , ohad is now working on whitepaper and alfa core untill both will be ready don release it to avoid copycats.
He think that is possible release it over end 2017 but its not 100% sure.

I think 2018 will be the year of tauchain, we must wait a bit more...

Tau is quite a complex creature so summarizing it into a whitepaper is quite challenging task - I believe that in this phase Ohad can write a hefty book on the world of tau.
I'm not familiar with all the projects in the blockchain landscape but from what I know this is the most ambitious project by far.
It is also a mistake to  characterize tau by its blockchain only because this is one layer of tau which should enable the more advanced features and the economy on top of tau (agoras).

A few videos/interviews are in the pipeline and they will give a better understanding of tau in the near future.

I've been invested and following progress on this project for over a year. Back then there was code being written and a white paper. Now there is neither and I haven't seen any indication of progress since the revised theory. The only thing going on is the occasional newbie making a post and asking trivial questions followed by Ohad explaining over and over again some theoretical model that only exists in his head which no one can question. Other than that there are problems with the distribution and price...

Or talk of holding onto coins or locking them up for a bonus and all of this hinges on promises made by Ohad. When is a reasonable timeline to expect some sort of update or whitepaper or code... within a year or a few years... it's too hard to tell at this point...

This has gotten way too out of hand and I hope you, Ohad, realize that no one would have initially invested in this project with what you are currently providing. This whole ecosystem of based on openness and trustless systems yet what is taking place more and more resembles SCAM coins which occur everyday and then people say well you had all the warning signs and you did nothing. Does this really sound good to investors who have given you millions of dollars?

Hello everyone, I am new here, I am from Argentina, from the few Argentines who bet on Tauchain. Here hardly anyone knows it. I think rider311 is very respectful in his words, but at the same time he says great truths. I trust Ohad Asor very much, I see him as a very intelligent person, but that can be good and can also be bad. He has a responsibility to investors and must explain some things concretely. I wonder what John McCarthy (a pioneer in artificial intelligence) will think about Tauchain in the sky, and who exactly is Dana Edward ... any pictures there?  Best regards.

Coding has begun on the new Tau
A lot of the work done on Zennet and old Tau can be useful once they get to those stages on the new Tau

They are also working on a series of courses about Tau as it's a more effective way of communicating the ideas behind the project than in writing, and we can expect some videos out in due time.

Overall, there is good progress being made. I don't think we'll have to wait too much longer to see something very tangible. Of course we're still quite a way away from Agoras itself.

Am I right in thinking that if I send those to an OMNI wallet address before the 1st August and leave them there that there is an automatic 15% locking bonus?

Last February I asked Ohad about the 15% bonus. His reply "Yes, all coins that won't be moved from the upcoming first of March, until the final coins will be ready, will receive the extra upon time. Also without me keeping them."  Hopefully this still stands.

that's true, but need to be done before the upcoming 1st of aug (i.e. will be relevant only for tokens that didnt move at all since this upcoming date). we just dont have enough coins left to allow this locking bonus further

Hey, thanks for the replies. I will make sure I get this done before the end of the month. No point in leaving them on Bittrex as I've no plans to trade them.

Ohad It would be a good idea to make a small monthly report on how the tauchain project is going.
For example the 1st of each month. This report would keep us informed and generate news for the media,
