After giving it another thought - adjusting PoS starting diff would be easy and would work. No coin age would be lost.

@ dev: If you consider this - do it soon. Wink

if u change anything just change min coin age than u get 2x the coins on the network increasing weight giving pos a fighting chance

im not just saying this because i dumped high and bought back low. well not entirely.  i really think that if u change something than change just that leaving the major parameters unchanged, doubt anyone will bitch and it would cause a spike in price i am sure

I already voiced my opinion above, but if anything is changed it should be the starting POS difficulty and not min coin age.  Min coin age won't change much anyway.  All the people who are currently trying to stake still won't be staking, and it will just allow a bunch of coins that will have low weight anyway to mature.  Plus, it further punishes those who decided to not move their coins to dump on bittrex when the price was spiking because they wanted to stake and didn't want to lose coin age.

depends on how many coins u got waiting, i imagine alot of coins were acquired in the last 6 hrs

Do coin ages revert with a hard fork?

That was answered by the dev a page or 2 back to summarize they didnt plan for that unknown so the answer is idk

i wish u pussies could tough it out instead of crying and dumping on me, but if you want to buy me new miners go ahead

the qt is solid the staking will work and it will happen eventually once that block comes out you aint gonna see it this low again

A hard fork to update PoS starting difficulty has no influence on coin age! That is nowhere near unknown. Wink

Uhhhhhhh........yeah, exactly.  Which is why I said reducing the min stake time only further punishes those who held to stake.  Its like your idea to reduce min stake age was shot down so you immediately decide to shitpost about the 25$ worth of coins you gained by not staking.  No one cares.

Nice buy support where we are now, not much sell pressure. If DEV comes out with a solution to the staking issue, I see the sell wall eaten up to 5k easy.

Miners have one thing in mind and that is to take profit as soon as possible. Miners dump each batch of there mined coin with no regards of letting a coin grow.

I agree, mining power should be dropping off with the lower price and lower block rewards, so perhaps the staking weight will be high enough soon? My coins are old enough and I am keeping an eye on it, they start staking, I am buying more.

Thank you for letting me know i will go check it out now, that does not make sense does it who is selling for the same price it costs to mine? I figure someone who has free energy or the dev hope it is not the latter that would show no patience because who ever it is cannot wait to increase their holding 8% daily strange.

I like mining up coins I think can go 5x-10x and waiting, bit of a gamble, but it pays off big now and then.
