Jesus guys, I agree with Richie on this one.  A possible fix "may" be in place and I am sure everyone appreciates the time Igotspots to identify and possibly place a fix on a very serious issue, Bittrex is aware of it, but if you think it's going to happen with the dev not posting for 1 day, I mean come on guys, keep your ADD in check a bit.

+1

The chain is stuck for...what? 15 hours?

I also don't think he will ever show up again - a grace period is required nonetheless.

Richie, if your reading this how long to we have to wait before you will accept a wallet from another dev. Dev has not logged on in 1 day 21 hrs.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

It's only been stuck for 9 hours... i've reached out to the ecash team as well.. hopefully they'll give us a direction one way or another...

...and im not being difficult, but can we set a time of when you will accept a new wallet from another dev, if original dev does not respond? The ONLY reason I ask, is because it will, hold the price if investors know the coin is not in any danger. Truth be told, there really DOES need to be some kind of set time of how long it takes for a coin to be considered "abandoned". Or some kind of emergency rules that if the chain is frozen for more than 12 hours, and dev has not responded then a takeover can be done. I dont know if you have a contract with devs or not, but if you do, if might be a good idea to add that verbage, because right now there are no clear guidelines, and frankly if there is NO contract with you and original dev, then there should be no reason to wait.

There is no clear guidelines because each situation is different... We have flat out refused takeovers before, and accommodated to others.  It really depends on how long its been, who else is taking the fork, what the community is doing etc... You don't want us coming up with hard and fast guidelines because we will default to not accepting coins without clear ownership like some other exchanges have done.

With all due respect Richie, we have been frozen for most of the day, and dev has not even logged on in almost 2 days. I think this is a VERY special circumstance. Youve got 1 dev who could care less about his coin, and MANY wallet holders who do. Please help us.

You want to threaten me with market?  I can talk in red too you know, or i could just close thread.

Threatening to close the thread because of a common troll, not coming on for a 5minute check to see if it forked successfully! Who does not stay in touch during a fork!? Someone who is incompetent and not up to the task it is quite simple, now instead of a active community and healthy volume losing momentum i would allow this take over now Bittrex before it crashes. No 'real' dev would leave a fork to do it's thing and not check the guy has gone which is good just take a look at his code :/

I think at the moment we are all kinda screwed. While I understand Richie's concerns and stance on this situation, I also know that the longer things are messed up, the less trust and momentum the coin will have. If something doesnt occur soon, this coin will almost certainly join the likes of other problem plagued coins. I think that 24hrs is enough time for a Dev to respond and address issues. An issue this big it should be less time, but I can deal with it. It's fair to everybody, dev, exchanges, miners, traders, and potential devs. If there is no response, IMO, the dev will have failed the supporters, investors, and anyone involved and should be removed.

Still waiting, FrazzleNutz

At this point I think all we can do is wait, a day, maybe 2 , and then the exchanges will accept the wallet. The price might go down a bit, and thats ok because it will recover when new wallet and dev are accepted by exchanges. For now Im holding all my coins until that happens.

As holder of 45,000+ ecash, I agree sooner (to hand over coin to spots) is MUCH better than later, price already showing community concern.
