Anyone know how long direct share transfers take?

The actual tradefortress wouldn't have asked this question... no point in berating the guy, it's not him.

Let's see if he succeeds with last years power consumption chips.

he is, in essence; succeeding so far... ploughing other peoples dividends into a long... yellow brick road and giving no update or explanation as to why he thinks this is prudent.

"I had your dividends, but I spent them." is as much as I can decipher so far, from this particular debacle.

I have never personally met the man, yet I trust him more than anyone else I've met in bitcoin land or anywhere else. It's strange even to me. Judge a man by his actions, not his words.

and if there are no words, is that not a silent action? not that it really matters, at the end of the day, an investment is an investment; hadn't there been dates announced as to when dividends would start moving? or was that date announcements to tell you there would be date announcements (confusing inasmuch as the actions (not words) served nothing but to merely have caused confusion.)

Mate, you sound, act, behave like a Wall St analyst. In bitcoin, there is no regulation. All you have is a man's reputation. I honestly can't see anyone here refund a $200k transaction fee.

Can you read?? The May 27th div date was a miscommunication from a board member to the thread. He later corrected it by posting part of the board meeting. FC never set a div date and the aggressive dividends were mentioned by another board member. FC just proposed a split.

See this quote.
Gentlemen,

don't get carried away by speculating on the quality of communication by friedcat. As pointed out multiple times, due to the nature of the operation there is little incentive to do extensive IR, other than the necessary accounting and communication through shareholder representatives (board). Instead the focus is on the core business. Friedcat decided to not pass the statements by the board first, but instead releasing them to the public directly.

Regarding the often quoted "aggressive dividends":
Let me take the blame here, because these are not friedcats words. Also I think there is massive confusion about what "aggressive" actually means. Thus let me remove any ambiguity by posting the text from the respective communication:

Code:
(BoardMember1) so I underatand that the next payments to the shareholders shoudl happen in May....
(BoardMember2) regarding dividends, do you have a target for retained earnings vs. dividends?
(BoardMember2) if retained earnings is high we need to consider the security mechanisms for the company treasury.
(FC) At most 1:2. Most retained are for short-time spendings (license, wafer/components order). There are no long-time plan of retaining since we won't buy land/bond/etc.
(BoardMember2) Alternatively AM could get "invested" in related businesses
(BoardMember2) If no opportunities exist I agree to an aggressive dividend schedule

As you can see there is no determination of timing other than FC's statement that short-term spendings need to be covered. The "aggressiveness" describes the overall split between retaining and paying out. That said, even board members assumed that dividends would resume in May with a 1:2 split of retained:payout.

Finally, I am shocked by the amount of outrage caused by what could be considered an uneducated interpretation of some raw data. The resemblance of this being a deliberate attempt to prey on the lack of insight and patience of new investors is strong. As pointed out previously, the financials are hard to read without context and further explanations.

I am committed to provide further information as it becomes available. However, some of the information which is important for company valuation is actually also crucial to pricing sales and thus falls within the realm of confidential information. Thus you cannot expect that this kind of information be released to the public. Anything else would be a level of transparency which is rather uncommon in these industries.

i just read FC's history posts (again) and it really seems everything is on track (besides the one month delayed tapeout by the end of march). seriously everything seems ridiculously under control and well planned.
so bear in mind its only been two months since successful tapeout. we passed functionality test the 29th of march. engeneered batch in march, 1st bacth of april sold, may batch in assets (partially?).. also 7x7mm chips may also be in the pipe... overall its really looking great Smiley

My board contact says FC intends to flood market.

Let's see if he succeeds with last years power consumption chips.

So no div in June. Zero div for months now.
Without proper explanation this is a big fu to investors.
This will drive the AM stockprice down.

zero divs for 2 months exactly. and its not like if its common for companies to give divs every weeks. not even in bitcoinland. AM isnt a bottomless money pit. it needs time (& money) to refurbish it, which is exactly what FC is doing while expanding activity and scalling up (but it wont happen in a blink). all this new strategy has been planned and implemented for not even 6 months.. patience patience Smiley

I think those were the most ugly 2 months for AM. They managed to have a full 2 months delay from having chips in hand until they(AM+distributors) managed to get a miner going. Also no divs months so rage from shareholders. The summer is coming!!!

Well this plan is ok. If only it was announced in advance with limited time offer to buyback the shares. Because I think this not what most of the shareholders expected.
But I still prefer this situation to the Bitcoin being regulated and plagued with fiat world restrictions.

It wasn't "miscommunication from a board member."  The reason information is issued through quasi-official channels is to allow deniability.

inb4 "tinfoil hat," HashFast used Cypherdoc to much the same effect--he would deliver some good news, it would fail to materialize, and HashFast Amy would come on to say Cypher wasn't authorized to make his claim/misunderstood.  Cypherdoc would apologize.  Worked like a charm.

yea right because hashfast is comparable to AM. they have millions of working chips and payed out millions in weekly divs for more than half a year.  oh and cypherdoc has the same reputation than FC.  Roll Eyes
seriously go take a break, its summer. enjoy it.

But I still prefer this situation to the Bitcoin being regulated and plagued with fiat world restrictions.

As i would also have like to be fully aware of their div payout agenda, i think professional investors that are used to semiconductors industry could have foreseen it from what FC said so far. it became clear that we are in a production and expanding phase. its pretty normal that cash should be restrain for completing that cycle in a healthy manner. but noobs investors (me first) were fooled by their own profit agenda and couldnt interpret the available comments duely, thinking divs first and at all cost. but i aint making the same mistake twice tho as it has cost me half of my investment for now.

still, i maintain that the company is healthy and the potential for surprising investors by the end of summer (in the good way) is huge.

edit:
if you think about it: IPO in june 2012 -> production by the end of 2012 -> sales and shipment by february 2013 -> first divs by april 2013 (right in the bubble) which increased dramatically by summer 2013 (and thus the company's valuation).
this cycle is done and restarted from scratch by november 2013. so here the new production phase started a little later than the previous one (3 to 4 months i'd say since tapeout was succesful by the end of march 2014 instead of november/december 2012). so divs should start over with that same 3 to 4 months delay, which is also quite amazing since they managed to scale up within the same timeframe.
