Also I want to say friedcat could have run with everything after GLBSE went down. He came back and paid out tens of thousands of BTC he could have kept. I highly doubt he is going to start scamming now.
There is no friedcat.
"friedcat" is just an account with no RL name attached, Bitfountain could have easily changed account's owner down the line.

As long as he was giving regular updates yes, he was rightly labeled as reliable and trustable.
Then everything changed.
Like past dividends do not imply future dividends, past reputation do not imply you are still honest.
Especially if we don't even know who "he" is.

well i can not prove it but i do not think he sold his account or our company. I admit i might be wrong but i would be shocked.

also :

wafer cost   for May batch : 5 727 500$  (from financial report)

production costs per Gh/s as low as 0.2$ Gh/s  (its known information from past)

that give us around 30Ph in production right now, when we're speaking

plan for May batch from recent reports ? 33.5 Ph , are we still on track with ~30Ph estimation? YES, we are.

BUT jump from April's 8.5 Ph to May 33.5 Ph is fourfold ! So its crazy to expect some spare dividends after this huge expansion. But plan for June batch is "only" 2x more 67 Ph. And there should be place for dividends.

But also I may be crazy, take this with grain of salt  Wink

That's simply bullshit. Just because you don't know FCs real name doesn't mean nobody does.

I'm not agreeing with Lohoris's sentiments but his point is perfectly valid, FC's account could have changed hands 100 times without anyone here knowing and FC's always been fairly private about personal details.

Pre-IPO it was my opinion the guy and his team new their shit, knew dedicated hardware was important to Bitcoin's survival and where working in everyones best interests. FC's manner in this thread has changed an awful lot since then, maybe that's simply due to workload, pages of crappy posts or any number of things but its also quite possible FC and even the whole team is long gone. Again, I'm not saying anything positive or negative, just that folks should exercise caution and avoid making assumptions or trusting relatively unknown sources.

still, AM gen3 chips are real, FC answered technical questions on other thread lately, and even if he doenst post often anymore, his writing style hasnt changed very much. so lets not get paranoid. at least not yet.

Wouldn't the board have said something if the person they were meeting with had changed/the company was sold? I feel like this isn't something one just glosses over or tables till the next meeting.

In addition to this, the reality of the entire board of directors not being aware of this and then also not acting out on it is extremely unlikely. A complete change in ownership may be possible to pull off from the perspective of a BitcoinTalk forum account, however to convince / trick / bribe the board of directors that this change happened and not verbalize this information sounds more like fantasy.

Well we haven't seen board members unload shares, if they are privy to information this catastrophic, then wouldn't they have tried to unload shares before the everyman would have found out? Maybe I missed it.

600 isn't 5K though, I know you had someone who was trying to offload some, but those weren't close enough to be a Boardmember. If the company was going to shit and the Boardmembers knew of it, then you would expect to see 2-3 Boardmembers trying to unload atleast a couple thousand, if not all of theirs.

2 things that concern/confuse me:

- The "Exchanges" expense, with no further explanation.
- Announce "aggressive dividends" and then suddenly have negative dividends.

How can you as CEO of a publicly listed company, make such run-up statements and then just post 2 links to your very vague finances that show a loss, and think it's sufficient? To me that's a CEO that no longer gives a fuck.

Or crash the stock.  Or one of the infinite number of scenarios where share price != board's best interest.

To be fair, FC has never ever been good at communication. It is just no one cared when massive divs were flowing.
