If getting over 600% profit in dividends already is getting scammed then feel free to scam me.

Don't be absurd.  Every scam must have bait.

- AM raised $200,000 in IPO
- AM paid out 500% in divs in btc (when btc value went up 5000%)
- AM does $4,000,000 usd worth of sales last month
- AM now has $9,000,000 in assets

Clearly a scam.

I'm not doubting that you've made 600% profit in divs, but calling that "investing" is absurd, as is expecting to repeat that in your lifetime.  But do congratulate yourself that you dove into this septic tank and resurfaced with a pearl in your mouth.

I'm fairly certain that AM will pay more than 0.6 BTC in dividends over the lifetime of gen 3 and 4 chips. I don't even know why you bother to try and spread FUD, pretty much everyone on these forums knows you're the biggest troll here and nobody believes a word you say.

And I'm not even suggesting that, at the time you made your 600% profit, ASICMINER was setting out to be a scam.
Times were different back then, getting ripped off was still not a certainty and scamming far from a de facto business plan for bitcoin securities.
But time means flux, and today it pretty much is.

You seem desperate to make some sort of a point, jimmothy.  I understand that repeatedly getting taken by "securities issuers" is upsetting, and having your nose rubbed in it doesn't make you feel any better.
But trust me, give into the pain and humiliation which you deserve and you will learn from it, instead of simply reacting.

so the way i see it, (in order maybe to reassure me) is that, AM payed Batch1 (april) and batch2 (may).. selling the manufactured chips now.. and then paying for batch3 (june) as mentioned in previous update.
so divs should start over by july/august when they finally sold all 3 batches, stack up on selfmining operation and franchisees kicking in too?!

Also I want to say friedcat could have run with everything after GLBSE went down. He came back and paid out tens of thousands of BTC he could have kept. I highly doubt he is going to start scamming now.
There is no friedcat.
"friedcat" is just an account with no RL name attached, Bitfountain could have easily changed account's owner down the line.

As long as he was giving regular updates yes, he was rightly labeled as reliable and trustable.
Then everything changed.
Like past dividends do not imply future dividends, past reputation do not imply you are still honest.
Especially if we don't even know who "he" is.

Nope.
They should have started a few days ago.

but on a realistic POW, this is a slow industry in that sens that miners still have to be manufactured and plugged whilst chip batches have to be payed in advance. they took their time to come up with those chips specs sure, but after that there is still a lot of work to go on with. no?

I don't think that's crazy at all and think that AM could pay out that much over the lifetime of gen 3 (estimated at 400-1600 Ph/s), never mind gen 4 as well.

Of course there is at least one name, at any given time, behind an account.  The real question is:  Do you know that name, jimmothy?

If by "everyone" you mean investing enthusiasts and finance aficionados, and by "troll" you mean "guy who has been right on the money, each and every time," than we're on the same page Smiley

And Mabsark, don't I remember you from at least some of the following:  Active Mining, NeoBee, HavelockInvestments, MintSpare, Seedcoin?  'Cos I remember folks protesting in those threads too.

Nope. Why?
If the demand for chips is huge, and supply is low and you have an access to double or triple your production capacity, then its better to just relocate profit and not pay dividends but expand your production and flood the market, if there is the demand. This is exactly what happened. Look at financial reports. Or just wait for answers from Friedcat and you'll see Smiley

also :

wafer cost   for May batch : 5 727 500$  (from financial report)

production costs per Gh/s as low as 0.2$ Gh/s  (its known information from past)

that give us around 30Ph in production right now, when we're speaking

plan for May batch from recent reports ? 33.5 Ph , are we still on track with ~30Ph estimation? YES, we are.

BUT jump from April's 8.5 Ph to May 33.5 Ph is fourfold ! So its crazy to expect some spare dividends after this huge expansion. But plan for June batch is "only" 2x more 67 Ph. And there should be place for dividends.

But also I may be crazy, take this with grain of salt  Wink

I'm not agreeing with Lohoris's sentiments but his point is perfectly valid, FC's account could have changed hands 100 times without anyone here knowing and FC's always been fairly private about personal details.

Pre-IPO it was my opinion the guy and his team new their shit, knew dedicated hardware was important to Bitcoin's survival and where working in everyones best interests. FC's manner in this thread has changed an awful lot since then, maybe that's simply due to workload, pages of crappy posts or any number of things but its also quite possible FC and even the whole team is long gone. Again, I'm not saying anything positive or negative, just that folks should exercise caution and avoid making assumptions or trusting relatively unknown sources.

still, AM gen3 chips are real, FC answered technical questions on other thread lately, and even if he doenst post often anymore, his writing style hasnt changed very much. so lets not get paranoid. at least not yet.
