We of course don't accept pre-orders.

What we would like to make clear is that this pre-order was not initiated by rockxie himself.

Friedcat continues to be awesome one more time.

If he were to do another IPO I would put 90% of my BTC into it. Without thinking twice.  Grin

Without a doubt.

It's a shame that when 3rd parties get involved (like this preorder debacle) that things can get so screwed up.

so, when will blades be for sale?

we're 1 month late on this (you initially said late June), and I think we'd all appreciate some information on what is the holdup on these blades and when we can expect it them to be ready.

Whoa, calm down there. If there are delays, then there are logistical reasons why that's the case. If friedcat needs to reveal why, he'll do so at the according time. No need to get rowdy.

People on reddit are complaining because of the low transaction count in ASICMiner blocks:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1jd525/why_is_asicminer_including_only_40_transactions/

Can the chinese firewall be the problem? It would be good if this problem could be fixed  Tongue

Not entirely straightforward, but if you click on the timestamp below each red x it will tell you who relayed it:

As friedcat didn't provide any explanation so far, we definitely need to ask this question "officially" at the next question round (I know it's not offical, but still convey a certain weight).

We have been talking about this issue for a while on this thread, and several of us insisted that the main problem is for the reputation of AM.
The fear or hate that rise in some people mind simply by AM having 20% of the hash power must not be underestimated, any reason that can rationaly support this unrational feeling must be avoided at all cost. The small number of transaction is such a reason.

So now the question went outside this thread, and for me this issue has become therfore the most important concern, more than any delay of blades or whatever short-term stuff.

I'd be happy to order old blades.  The fact is, except for the preorders, NO blades are available.  This gives the customers of a certain distributor an advantage.  I understand friedcat is just trying to help clean up the mess, but it's not his (or our) mess to clean up.  Meanwhile, we are down to 11% of hashpower while he helps the distributor dig himself out of his hole.

I am just asking for clarification, as the most stockholders and customers are eagerly waiting for the blade release. I, for one, would appreciate information about why the blade release keeps getting delayed, and when they expect to have problems ironed out.  It's not too much to ask to get some information from FC on this.

I think it's great he clarified the pre-order thing, but in the grand scheme of things, that is a very low priority issue for him to post an update about. I know he's busy, but as long as he's taking time to discuss distributor issues, maybe we can get some information about the product launch that is now a month overdue.

I'm surprised more shareholders aren't more concerned by a month of lost revenue.

You're right, there should be no reason to provide them any hardware to clean the mess.
I think we would need more than 3 questions next time to get some very important points answered.
Thanks for cleaning my crappy quote

Good think these questions are coming up as less orphaned blocks and greater # of transactions per block is good for both ASICMINER and the network. Let's ask friedcat about this during the next update.

Would it not be possible to connect the ASICMINER farm via VPN to several points to increase the number of fast peers? I imagine they are doing something like this already, so why the poor connection?

Definitely need to hear from friedcat about the transaction count/orphan rate of our solo mining.
