A piece on Kotaku and share price stays the same?
probably because of sebastianju's auction
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345248.0
i wonder at what price it will close on saturday.

The only prediction I will make with confidence is that it will be under the price of Havelock Wink

As for the actual price, depends to some extent on this week's dividends, due in about 12 hours Smiley

it's reasonable that bidders should collaborate to get "cheap"  shares, but interestingly, bidders always competent for each other. Anyway, it's fun to observe, interesting game.

reputation is everything.

Auction will never exist if bidders can collaborate. Smiley

Collaborate? I doubt even simple math is possible, yet the ASICMINER threads have some of the best organized, most well thought-out conversations on bitcointalk...

Anybody with shares (AM1) today could sell them for .36..asks are abundant..  and even if the auction got up to .39 for every available share (which we are far from at the moment), it's STILL free money.

So what I don't understand is why the asks are still there so high while the auction is running....   Anyone explain it?

People have no intention to sell less and buyers afraid to buy considering high risk.... there will be a very hard time in the next 3 months...

I don't think havelocks prices are being sucked down because people know the shares are worth more than 0.3 and there is no way the auction ends at 0.3 with the amount of attention it has gotten. My guess is it ends around 0.35 which is still a good deal imo.

0.35 is a fair price.

With all the recent news about ASICMINER going stagnant until Spring, I decided to dump all but 10 shares and start investing in these altcoins:

http://coinmarketcap.com/

The recent gains on these remind me of ASICMINER in the good old days

Lol. Yea because altcoins will ever even come close to the gains bitcoin has made. The only money to be made with altcoins is with pump and dump.

16% / year? Huh

ASICMINER paid over 0.6BTC/share in the last 9 months... which is 200% per year with current share prices.

- yield of 16% year and decreasing
- next generation chips, unknown development

My question if the price is under evaluated why sell now at loss when you can sell later at double price.
Owner of this shares is a IPO investor that decided to sell today before price for share will drop under IPO.
Please stop the FUD. I saw your bid in sebs auction. APR is and has always been around 30% for asicminer and no matter the dividend size, share price will adjust. Next gen chips are not unknown, we do know that they are set for tape out jan 20 and the simulated specs on them are quite nice. I am sure you know this as you are trying to acquire cheap shares.

Eastman Kodak paid an average per share of $1.25/year! from 1998-2008... which is ∞% per year with current share prices.

Of course I am also talking about those times.. that was actually THIS year... and thus it's 200% / year with current share prices.

In January we'll see the next gen chips.

http://kotaku.com/bitcoin-mining-is-getting-out-of-control-1471769898

Read the comments, most people there think Bitcoin is tulips, a bubble and not stable because no government backs it and no regulation.

99% of people there won't buy Bitcoins, let alone AM shares.

I'm going to guess ~0.0023. Mining address is at 479btc and then you have to include hardware sales and franchising.
