1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to choose hi or lo in dice games ? what you have in mind when you gamble ? on: February 09, 2017, 09:04:13 AM
it doesn't matter as long as there is equal chance of winning on both sides. for example i saw one of these dice sites have a different change. it was 0.01% difference but it is still something. i don't know if it was a bug or something else but i chose the one that had a little bit more chance of winning for me and stuck with it. Cheesy
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will the price of Dogecoin be by the year 2020? on: February 09, 2017, 08:56:14 AM
Dogecoin is altcoins old I am also holding it and I think they have a future that I see every coming commerce sites constantly being added dogecoin within their site, I think it will be more and more commerce sites will increase their volume and add new society for dogecoin least it pushing their prices

i admit that i have also seen so many adoption cases for Dogecoin and real shops that are accepting Doge for their goods but you shouldn't only look at the exteriors from outside. you should see how many people are actually using them. they may have only 1 customer in every 2 months for all we know!

and besides this topic is about price of Dogecoin in the future. and the simple rule of supply and demand dictates that no matter how big the demand of Dogecoin gets in the future it can never compete with the huge supply of this coin hence Doge having lower and lower price.
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any point in holding any altcoin right now? on: February 09, 2017, 08:50:33 AM
your primary investment should always be in bitcoin not altcoins not even when bitcoin price is stable you should still continue investing in bitcoin because that is where the real profit and a guaranteed profit exists.

for altcoins, i am currently holding some of them such as litecoin, monero and ethereum but these are always for short term investments. i will sell them as soon as there is a rise and i believe in these 3 major ones to have a rise soon specially litecoin and most possibly ethereum if we can see another dip or some hype again.
1004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can the price of bitcoin still skyrocket on: February 09, 2017, 08:45:17 AM
The price of bitcoin can still skyrocket I think. As far as we can see, it's price is slowly moving upwards but it looks healthy that way. In the next few weeks or months, There will be a skyrocket if this current pump continues and many more users might start using bitcoin too that might help drive the price up even more. The bitcoin holders also help in this current pump by not selling all the coin they got now.

unless something big happens you really shouldn't expect a skyrocket price meaning a huge fast price jump. and that something big can be mass adoption or some other similar news of a big company adopting bitcoin.

instead you should be expecting slow price rise similar to the past few years of bitcoin price rises.
1005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for the rich, not the poor on: February 09, 2017, 08:38:43 AM
The situation with the Blockchain lately, reminds me of the Air line industry. If you are rich, you can pay for first class treatment and you advance past the plebs in the queue, directly to the VIP area. Money <higher miners fees> will make sure that you are treated like a VIP.

Bitcoin is no different than any other technology, because it still favors the rich. ^hmmmmmmm^
Idk, recommended miner fees as of now are still low (ranging from 30 cents) compared to credit cards that have processing fees of like $5 above. If bitcoin favors the rich then fees should be skyrocketing with like $2 per transaction.

average transaction size is about 500 bytes and with 140-150 satoshi per byte we are getting closer to paying $1 per transaction (currently about 82 cents) and all this is because block size is small.

if there were no solution then it was acceptable to pay such high fees, but the problem is that there are solutions for fixing the problem... but none of them are being adopted.
1006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed transaction for 3 days (panicking) on: February 09, 2017, 08:31:06 AM
no matter what happens you are not going to lose the funds. because there are only two possible scenarios:
1) your transaction is confirmed at some point which means it is complete!
2) it is not confirmed, it stays in the mempool for a while and drops out eventually (~72 hours) and then you can spend it again.

also go to this board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0
and see all other similar situations like yours and the solutions are all the same.

p.s. you have 26 satoshi per byte which is too low for your transaction size (https://bitcoinfees.21.co/)

also you can use this tool (https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/) to accelerate your transaction for now.
1007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the main World currency. Forget About The $ Dollars And € Euros. on: February 08, 2017, 02:10:31 PM
Given that the minimum transaction size is 547 satoshis or 0.00000547 BTC,  there would be a theoretical maximum of 3,839,122,486,289 units of Bitcoin available for spending

the minimum amount of bitcoin to send has changed a couple of times but last time i checked it was 5 thousand something (5400?) satoshi

also to my knowledge this minimum changes based on price of bitcoin and it is there to prevent spamming of 1 satoshi transactions. in other words in a world where everyone is spending bitcoin, price is much higher and if we are about to spend all the units available this minimum will be 1 satoshi (the samallest amount)
this makes the maximum theoretical amount equal to 2,100,000,000,000,000 (ignoring all the lost coins)

My understanding is that this minimum you speak of is set by miners using the fee-filter which can be altered without making changes to Core.

what i am talking about is called "Dust" and it is set in the protocol (although i am not sure whether or not miners can change it though!) but wallets will reject it.

it has changed a lot, and i am not so sure how it is calculated right now it has changed quite a bit (https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2760) but i think it is now a different way and it is based on minrelaytxfee not a fixed number!

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/master/src/policy/policy.h#L43-L48

and i guess you were right about the 547 (or 546 satoshi according to this topic: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1214993.0;all)

1009  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I want some sign up related tasks on: February 08, 2017, 01:03:10 PM
Hi, I am newbie here so I can't participate any signature campaign. I want some sign up tasks that give me $1 btc for each sign up. Smiley

go on services board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0 and look for jobs like that, you can even post a topic there showing your interest and say your skills.

you can also use reddit here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4bitcoins to look for open jobs like that or similarly open a topic there showing your interest and skills to do jobs like that.

the topic link "avatar_kiyoshi" gave you is good resource but from all these places i personally prefer these two options. and don't expect to find many jobs or even getting paid much.
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You have 10 seconds to post an altcoin that you think will go 100% in 3 months on: February 08, 2017, 12:54:55 PM
from the coins that we know and can predict i say Litecoin.
it is time for its rise and specially because of bitcoin price rise and also the fact that Litecoin will have segwit soon.

but from coins that are new or unknown, it can be any new coin. they have lots of potential for either a rise or a pump and in both cases we can see 100% rises.

p.s. someone said Doge and made me laugh Grin
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to analyze an ICO project going to be scam or not? on: February 08, 2017, 12:50:06 PM
your only chance is checking the project out yourself.
if you have an ICO project in mind then go find their announcement topic and start reading what the project is all about, if they had a website go there and check it out.
it is also preferred if you can check their source code if you can to see if it is just a copy paste or is there actually some work being done on it. you can see based on number of commits, contributions, and lots of other factors.
also check to see if the developers team is a good team or not.

and in the end it is an investment with its risks and rewards which you have to weigh against each other.
1012  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the usual PBOC bullshit routine. Uptrend continues. on: February 08, 2017, 12:44:12 PM
China is old news now. nobody cares about them anymore.
there was a time when people still thought the billion dollar daily volume they reported were real, but now we know how fake it was.
there was a time when people still thought all the mining power came from China, but we have been seeing more and more hashrate from other places.

and with all these changes, i don't think there is anybody naive enough to believe FUD like that and make the price go down. it is time for the FUDsters to find better and newer things Cheesy
1013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help me with poll about bitcoin day... on: February 08, 2017, 12:37:53 PM
usually when we give name to a specific date, we use the most significant event and i think the most significant event with bitcoin is genesis block since it is the start of it all. and the block number zero (like ground zero).
so i'd say that is the only date we need.

other dates, such as the ones in my above comment (and also pizza day which he forgot) are good but not as significant.
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Using Banks, Paypal And Credit Cards! Let's Integrate Bitcoin Everywhere! on: February 08, 2017, 12:26:54 PM
i still need to use both because something like foods can not be bought with bitcoin and you need a bank account for that, hopefully i have no fee with my bank

i don't cry about unconfirmed transaction, but unless you are a miners you can't support anything, running a node will not add to the vote for activating segwit or any hardfork

We need to be more stubborn and hate banks, paypal, credit cards with all our soul.
I never use them.
I personally buy almost everything with bitcoin and if there's any reason to pay in cash then i find people locally who can exchange.

how can you buy foods with bitcoin? in many place it's not ccepted, if at least some supermarket consider it we may get something

but as today i never heard of any supermarket accepting bitcoin

i think the important question is about whether you will be open to spending your bitcoin if a supermarket started accepting bitcoin today? and the answer may surprise you when most people say no to spending their coins since it is just an investment that they are waiting to make them rich.
1015  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice Feedback Competition! 0.10 BTC in prizes! 🔶 on: February 06, 2017, 01:37:43 PM
Thanks a lot, i can confirm that i have received the prize.

i am glad you found my feedback helpful. i hope i can see YOLODice improve every day.
1016  Economy / Speculation / Re: New record being at 1000+? on: February 06, 2017, 01:31:38 PM
record bitcoin price in 2017 over 1100 dollar
this now bitcoin price in range 1010 -1050 , so not new record
my prediction in bitcoin price in 2017 can new record and incraese until reach 1200 dollar

But it hasn't held a $1000 price tag for a continuous 72-hour period.
It failed to do this in 2013 and it failed to do this a month ago.
But if it lasts about 4.5 more hours, it will finally succeed in this regard.

back in 2013 price went from about $200 to $1200 in less than a month and there were no buy support and mostly the price had gone up with fake pumps done by MtGox which were controlling all the bitcoin market since there were no other exchanges (others were tiny).

and besides 4.5 hours or 4.5 days are not going to change any facts. there is a strong buy support behind this rise. and it is not going to go down unless some big FUD happens. and even in the case of an FUD price will go down and come back up again fast.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which is the best altcoin exchange? on: February 06, 2017, 01:23:02 PM
Which is the best altcoin exchange

Actually to choose the exchange which is best to use is depend upon the requirement of the user or trader .
If you are newbie then I will prefer to use yobit.net because yobit.net is that exchange which is easy to understand and unlimited number of altcoins for trading ( even when some altcoins got less active dead ) .
But best exchange to understand the trading .
But if you want to go for the big trading and big security go for poloniex , bitrex etc .
Since about all the exchanges that I have mentioned are full.of security but still we should remain careful about all the active ury with you account .
for newbies yobit is better because yobit have almost all shit and low quality coins. which some time give 200% profit and you can even start with 5$ to 10$ there..
anyway choose any exchange you want but never store your balance to exchange for long time. always keep as mush as you need for trading.

you are saying it yourself "yobit adds shitcoins" then how can you also claim it is "better"?!

because exactly what you said means they are bad. when something is a shitcoins, that means it is already a bad idea to even go near it. these coins are dying and have no logical movement. and as a result when a newbie tries to trade these he will get even more confused and will give up trading alltogether.

cause shitcoins usually give you the most profit during any pumps

that is correct but also they can cost you a lot of money too, from the dumps!

let me give you an example.
a shitcoin worth 100 satoshi can get pumped and go to 200 satoshi and give you 100% profit but also at the same time it can go down to 1 satoshi and cost you -100% (-99% to be exact).

and this is what happens, not just a possibility. you can check their history if you don't believe it. check at least 20 of them and see this happening for every single one of them without an exception.
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin price monitor with email alert. on: February 06, 2017, 01:16:04 PM
There are any software capable to monitor the altcoin price, and when the price is reached, to send an e-mail?

i would really love to see such a service, specially if free. but i doubt that anyone would be doing it for free.
if you know a programming language like PHP or something you can do it with a remote location that sends you alerts.

i have done my own with a simple API call..
but i don't have time to develop more functions..
i'm really surprised, who there ain't nothing similar, already done!!!

this looks good but it seems to be running locally on your computer, am i right? if so it is not what OP wants.
also would you be willing to share the code for it (making it open source)? and preferably English?
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is LTC dead ? on: February 06, 2017, 01:09:33 PM
don't need segwit at all.
Yes i thought this to. LTC transactions are very fast and segwit is not so important at all. More important things are integration and usage. Little bit of re-designing, and html5 wallet and that's it. And all this is not something unattainable.

that is the biggest problem that the community has. they don't know much about technical stuff.
i am not pretending to know it fully either but for example SegWit's first and biggest purpose is fixing the malleability issue and not speeding up transactions or even increasing block size.

and also things you mentioned like redesigning and a new wallet are just for the interface, and interface has never done anything for any coin before.
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you support Spoetnik if he had an ICO? on: February 06, 2017, 01:03:43 PM
why does it even matter who is having an ICO! it is a bad idea to invest in any of them anyways. even if Satoshi Nakamoto came out of hiding and started a new ICO i wouldn't be thinking about investing in it, let alone Spoetnik guy with his negative trust Cheesy

but i guess out of all newbies who scam with ICO at least giving away your money to someone who knows some stuff is better to give away your money to some newbie!
