1021  Economy / Lending / Re: [REQ] 0.03 BTC loan for 5 days, return 0.04 BTC on: June 04, 2014, 06:23:00 PM
i can provide this loan

Thanks, pm sent.

txid: a6b53807d73dcf2d9ce824fce63480aa180944214defcb48f1f13f76b771c77b

please return 0.04 BTC in 5 days.  thanks.

It is generally a good idea to make a note of all the details on the thread such that they are permanently stored , such as time , date of return , interest rate , amount lent , amount to be returned.

If you PM a scammer about changed rates and both of you delete the PM , it will be removed from all records. Then he can revert back to old rates and scam. ( I am not accusing you of being a scammer , just highlighting a possibility and why a public notice is better)
1022  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How safe is it to invest in just-dice on: June 04, 2014, 06:19:42 PM
Safe , and the high volume makes it very very unlikely for a loss.

And as stated and restated , dooglus is trustworthy.

Good luck investing Smiley

^ Nevermind the escrow

I just found your page , you seem trustworthy enough.
1024  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Steam Gift cards - 5 / 10$ on: June 04, 2014, 06:12:21 PM
I can try to get this for you, although I won't go first that is (1)
and btw if u want a steam game I may get it for cheaper, lmk

I'd like to purchase :-
http://steamcommunity.com/app/265990

Could you offer any lower price ?

How much is your budget for steam wallet funds ? I may need more steam supplies during the sales Tongue

Also , if you are not able to go first , I will need to deduct 1% , to hire monbux as an escrow. Alternatively , you can suggest a well trusted escrow.

Get back to me with this information and confirmation of escrow

Thanks,

Jambola2
1025  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Steam Gift cards - 5 / 10$ on: June 04, 2014, 05:23:45 PM
Bitstamp price.
You can go first by giving the steam gift card , otherwise I shall deduct the escrow fees from the payment.
If you have a large amount of trust , I may go first.

You can pretty easily get a steam gift card from paypal , and this shall be safer.

Thanks,
Jambola2

Well , a moderator (or was it only Theymos) can see complete history of the post , including deletes and edits.

That can be used to confirm it if necessary , if you have posted this due to a problem you recently came up across.

But in the long term , I think this rule would help.
1027  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Looking Bitcoin Game [POLL] on: June 04, 2014, 02:28:55 PM
Wait, CoinRoyale isn't listed? Smiley

It is really simple and clean. But here they are looking at the awesome looking ones.

I voted for luckybit.
They look awesome with their steampunk style , they should have played that card a bit more.
They have only one page which integrates everything.
1028  Other / Meta / Re: Does taking rep-builder loans deserve a negative trust ? on: June 04, 2014, 12:06:18 PM
People actually state they're only lending to build up trust? That is definitely cause for concern, but I'd take each instance on a case by case basis. However, if they're specifically stating that they only want the loan for feedback etc then it looks fishy, but I could also understand people just wanting to build up feedback and trust for genuine reasons, but there's better and more subtle ways of going about that.

I've seen quite a few people taking and giving loans and stating that they were doing it to build up trust. They were quickly silenced by a justified outburst from the community. Do those people deserve negative reps ? That was my question.

Also , I've seen a lot of people who seem to take a tonne of microloans to attempt to gain rep. This guy has taken 4 microloans and is trying to take a 5th :- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=175837
Why would you need so many ?

This guy too has taken a couple tiny loans , such as 0.02 BTC:- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=148493
Why would you do so when you have past sales of over 1 BTC ?
1029  Other / Meta / Re: Coin police on forum - project? on: June 04, 2014, 11:48:32 AM
Well , I'd say that 90% of coins are scams , but that is not close enough. 99% of all the newly released coins are scams.

Investing in a coin early on and finding information is not business of the 'coin police' , but your business.
Coins with innovative features get noticed and rise quickly through the ranks.
Here is a list of some popular coins :- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=134179.0

You can get into a coin pretty early by looking for signs of popularity, but if you are looking to get in on a coin that is going to surge before anyone else , you need to take the initiative and search for it yourself. At this stage , it is your fault if a coin is a scam and you should look very very carefully before investing.
1030  Other / Meta / Does taking rep-builder loans deserve a negative trust ? on: June 04, 2014, 11:44:26 AM
The Lending forums has a lot of rep-builder loans that are stated as such and they are usually shunned.
Other than that , there are a lot of small loans with no stated reason , with very short return durations.

My question is , why don't we give negative trust to people who try to build rep ?
Falsely building up rep seems like something one would do to be able to scam.
It seems pretty close to buying rep , which usually warrants a negative trust rating.

What sets apart rep-building loans and directly buying rep with BTC ?
1031  Economy / Services / Re: NEWBIES & JR MEMBERS Signature PAYMENT - NEW RATES! on: June 04, 2014, 11:39:02 AM
Nice to see a campaign that is probably a scam and advertising one at least?

This is not a scam , or atleast I don't see any reason for it to be one.
I first thought the prices were 0.0003 and 0.0004 BTC , but upon closer inspection , it is one order of magnitude less.

It's probably a scam or people should treat it like one until he puts money in escrow and/or pays out. And I think those were the original rates until he vastly lowered them (though I could be wrong).

Even if it is not a scam , how much will a Newbie get from this.
The amount you could earn is insignificant.

If he scams , he is cutting off the reputation of his own site , for what profit ? He will skip off without paying a fee of around 20c per person per week.
1032  Economy / Lending / Re: [REQ] 0.03 BTC loan for 5 days, return 0.04 BTC on: June 04, 2014, 11:36:29 AM
I need this loan of 0.03 BTC to practice some trading and rent a little mining power.

I will return 0.04 BTC to you within 5 days.

I have positive trust feedback from previous loans of a similar size. I have no collateral available.

Please post here and pm me if you are interested in providing this loan.

What exactly is your reason for looking for a loan ?
This seems a lot like a reputation builder , short time , small amount , no seeming reason.
1033  Economy / Services / Re: NEWBIES & JR MEMBERS Signature PAYMENT - NEW RATES! on: June 04, 2014, 11:06:26 AM

I first thought the prices were 0.0003 and 0.0004 BTC , but upon closer inspection , it is one order of magnitude less.

To put it into perspective , 40 posts by a Newbie (or 30 by a Jr. Member) on this campaign earns the same amount as one post by a Hero member on the PrimeDice campaign.
A Jr. Member will get 10x the payment per post once they switch to PD when they reach member status

Here is a small list for comparison

This Campaign - Newbie - 1.8c per post
This Campaign - Jr.Member - 2.4c per post
Primedice - Member - 24c per post
Primedice - Full Member - 36c per post
Primedice - Sr. Member - 60c per post
Primedice - Hero Member - 72c per post

So , even if a brand new person joins this campaign for all their 60 posts min required to get to Member , they will get only 0.0021 BTC ( around 1.26$ )

Note : Primedice yet does not have the highest payment , but I've used them as a guideline as they are the most stable service.

1034  Economy / Services / Re: $10,000 for information $50,000 for conviction. OgNasty on: June 04, 2014, 10:56:04 AM
Goat, OgNasty, get the fuck along.

Jesus Christ. Goat, grow up a bit, eh?

OgNasty, stop attacking Goat.

Bunch of children here --  Roll Eyes

What do you mean by that ?

Goat scammed people. OgNasty made a scam accusation.
Goat got pissed , he made a fake bounty.

This is not the first trusted user Goat has made a fake bounty on , if you check his trust , gmaxwell put a neg trust for Goat for doing the same thing , paying people a fake bounty for spreading fake information about the person who showed his scams.
1035  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Way to Earn `BTC` on: June 04, 2014, 02:15:40 AM
This is how it works  , in my mind atleast.

I pay 0.05 BTC along with 10 other guys. This refunds the 0.5 BTC for the guy before me/
I then wait 1-10 weeks to get repaid.

Basically , it is a ponzi with an element of luck.
Luckier people may get out of the ponzi fast enough , and unlucky people , even though they enter the ponzi first will not get anything.
1036  Economy / Lending / Re: Former Scammer Atonement on: June 03, 2014, 06:41:19 PM

I have a dilemma. I contacted one person I scammed here but I can't find the other.  The threaf was about a google play card and I had it deleted so my chances of finding him are slim. The only thing I remember is him trading moneypak before vanishing.

Contact theymos , all deleted threads are archived and he may be able to help. (I'm not sure he can , but it is worth a try)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=594652.new#new

I think that's the thread, but looks like the guy Rushlix scammed actually scammed someone as well. Scammers scamming scammers.

Wow , a vicious circle of scamming.

Rulishix scams a guy and after 2 weeks , the victim in the first case scams another person ?

Do you think him being scammed encouraged him ? That would be sad D:
1037  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.20 Btc return 0.25 June6 on: June 03, 2014, 06:37:19 PM
Doesn't matter of his past this account could of been hacked and the first place someone would go would be the lending sub forum. I just hope that's no the case.

Very true.  I was wondering the purpose of the loan, and I doubt the account was hacked, as for moniz used the same loan address for the previous loans as well.

Good point but that was just a assumption if the hacker got hold of his email and he used a online wallet such as blockchain he could of found a backup there or be able to gain access to the wallet through the emails. I don't think its been hacked but you must take into consideration otherwise its going to bite you on the ass one day.

With a 25% interest and a moderate sum of BTC, it is not too shabby.
I'm pretty sure there is lesser than a one in four chance that such a long chain of events has occured.
If he was doing it for 5% interest or >1 BTC though , it would be a different story

Secondly , having a negative trust from a respected member like TomatoCage will permanently hamper you.
I honestly don't think anyone would remove a negative trust because the scammer decided to "atone"

LuckyBit

This site is innovative in a completely different way as it goes against the typical dice.
It is provably fair , which seems pretty awesome for a complex game.
The community is awesome and they give free bitcoins for chatting with them.

PrimeDice

This site is basically one of the "original" sites.
It looks clean and simple , unlike many newer sites and that along with the low house edges and provable fairness attracts long-term gamblers.
They also have a free BTC faucet , which gives diminutive amounts , but is encouraging to newbies along with a helpful chat community.
This is one of the standards in Bitcoin gambling as it has aspects that can appeal to frequent gamblers and first timers alike.

BitcoinScratchTicket

This is a site with a newer style , that has appeal because it is different from the normal dice game.
It has tickets available for a wide range of bet chances and tries to make it look like a real scratch ticket , with scratching animations.
They allow free tickets and have a house edge of only 1.9% , which is pretty low for these kind of unique sites.

1040  Other / Politics & Society / Hunger Games style Thai protests on: June 03, 2014, 03:17:04 PM

Could this mark a new era of peaceful protests?
The Mockingjay symbol is distinct in that it's a silent, unprovocative show of dissent.
Surely putting it down would be a terrible PR exercise on the part of the government
