1061  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Telegram and it's misue for scammers. on: August 25, 2023, 01:23:03 PM
It's why I developed a total hate for telegram. I used to love it back then, until it became a safe haven for scammers. Royse777, whenever you come across such accounts trying to scam you, I advise you to report for unsolicited PM spam and also scam.

You can also encourage your business partners to report the accounts. Telegram will block them from sending messages after a few reports. I have also seen cases where telegram leaves a banner near the username of an account showing the word "SCAM" though I don't know the required threshold of reports before they decide to label it scam.
1062  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎮LEETBIT.IO - 1337 Casino & Esports 🎮 Telegram Casino ⚡️ on: August 24, 2023, 11:42:21 PM
The only thing that i dont like is this;

When a user makes an aggregate lifetime total of deposits exceeding EUR 2000 or requests a withdrawal of any amount inside leetbit.io Platform, then it is compulsory for them to perform a full KYC process.

I would say that it is really just that a small amount which it could be easily be achieved out on that 2k eur deposit.
Then asking these?
A copy of Government Issued Photo ID (in some cases front and back depending on the doc)
A selfie of themselves holding the ID doc
A bank statement/Utility Bill

Source
It's better if they are upfront about the KYC verification requirements and rules rather that lie to you that customers don't need any KYC verification and once you make a big winning they impose on you an impossible to pass KYC verification procedure.

I mean, how many casino out there will you play in and there is a guarantee they won't ever ask for KYC. Very, very few.
1063  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet dust UTXO error on: August 24, 2023, 11:17:58 PM
I have a couple of questions:
1) Is it correct that only BTC will be imported? The other coins can still be used in the trust wallet?
Yes, you will only be able to see Bitcoin balances and spend only Bitcoin. Electrum supports only Bitcoin.

2) How does making a transaction in Electrum with imported BTC address with UTXO dust solve the problem? Does Electrum automatically disregard the utxo? My transaction will be pretty large.
Trust wallet doesn't offer a good solution to the UTXO dust problem, and it's even closed source. Avoid it. You will be able to sweep all the UTXO's with Electrum
1064  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Google Sheets Extension - Scammed | Last Update! on: August 24, 2023, 11:00:00 PM
I'm going through a fresh Windows installation as we speak, even though my computer looks safe so far, as no antivirus can detect any kind of malware right now.
If you can, install Linux OS as well on your PC and use it only to install wallets, performing transactions and maybe trading.

There are fewer chances of picking up malware via Linux unless if one is way too careless. I have mine and I have never ever felt unsafe like I do when using Windows even though I have not many random apps installed in it.
Antivirus software programs are just bullshit and can give you a false sense of security.
1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: TX Broadcast timestamp on: August 24, 2023, 02:40:52 PM
Remember it's a network of nodes and not just 1 node. The time it will take for the broadcasted transaction information to reach a blockchain.com explore node vs mempool.space node will most likely vary.

The lock time information is what matters.

Any reason you need to know the exact time a transaction was broadcasted? Because I personally don't see any use case  Tongue
1066  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] SecureShift.io , instant crypto exchange with full privacy on: August 24, 2023, 02:07:56 PM
You talk about full privacy and anonymity, yet your exchange has a full section of AML procedure in the TOS. How does that work?
Isn't this like giving your customers a false sense of privacy, but then at one point you hijack their transactions and ask them to send the documents and data they thought they would never need to send to you?

Also, who determines a link to criminal activity?
I receive my ETH from Uniswap after a trade and send the funds through your service to get Bitcoins and hold my funds citing suspicious activity which I have no idea about. Does that make me criminal in your terms?

Quote
AML Procedure
4.1.To make an Exchange in the Service, the User does not have to register or log in to the Service system and provide personal data. However, when the User sends funds that are clearly related to criminal activity, the User's Order may be suspended in order to request details about the origin of the funds sent until the requested information is provided.

4.2.SecureShift may determine a direct link to criminal activity based on information from business partners, public sources, victim complaints against SecureShift, and law enforcement requests.

4.3.SecureShift reserves the right not to disclose the source of information about the connection of funds sent by the User with criminal activity.

4.4.By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and agree that the transaction you sent can be verified using the security system of the Service.

4.5.By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge and agree to provide full details of the origin of the funds sent by you and confirm the honesty and legality of the receipt of these funds upon suspension of the Order and the corresponding request by SecureShift.

4.6.By accepting these Terms, you agree and warrant that true, accurate, current and complete information about the origin of funds sent is provided and you take full responsibility for its accuracy, completeness and reliability.

4.7.The data must be provided directly by the sender of funds under the Order.

4.8.If you refuse to provide data about the origin of the funds sent or provide false data, and if the data you provide confirms your connection to criminal activity, SecureShift has the right to freeze the funds for the subsequent return of funds to the victims with the assistance of law enforcement agencies.

4.9.In some cases, when for objective reasons the User cannot provide sufficient evidence of the source of the funds received, as well as in the case of a personal acquaintance of the sender with the alleged criminal who sent the funds to the User, as an exception, the User may be asked to undergo identity verification.

1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Appromixly how much time needs to recover BNB $310 price on: August 24, 2023, 01:29:19 PM
Nobody can tell you a definite answer even when you want approximations, unless if they are time travellers from the future. These are markets and worse still crypto markets. A coin can literally go from thousands of dollars to cents in a matter of days. It's why people are always supposed to invest only what they can afford to lose

That being said, since you already entered the trade, you are going to practice patience. Coins and even the worst of tokens usually pump in price during bull markets. We are looking at 2024-2025 if conditions remain constant. All I am saying is just hold if you can.
1068  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are they safe for us? and we should enjoy them? on: August 24, 2023, 12:57:23 PM
<...>
There are many such things. how reliable are they and is it right to take these services? Because of low rate?
The fact that you asked means you have some doubts about the very low prices offered, and your mind tells you something is fishy, which is true. Back then, when I was still in high school, I would try to look for such service, but truth is chances of getting scammed or something being unreliable after buying it at a low price are pretty high.

The companies always find the loopholes and invalidate the subscription licences in most cases.
1069  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Google Sheets Extension - Scammed | Last Update! on: August 24, 2023, 12:32:15 PM
Today I decided to do a long-needed cleanup on the computer after more than half a year of being inactive. I started with a malware scan from Malwarebytes, and to my surprise, it still detected the fake extension! However, the extension was found on Microsoft Edge, something that completely slipped undetected because I generally use Chrome and never spotted it on Edge.
There is something weird about Microsoft Edge that I noticed. It seems to automatically install extensions that are already installed on Chrome. I saw this on my Windows PC

Up to this day, I still haven't found any clues on how this extension got installed, nor can I suspect any torrents that I have used in the past. Thus, keep your software and Windows updated at all times, as security breaches are becoming more and more dangerous.
By the way, there are some software apps that maliciously install browser extensions and even change the default search engine settings of your browser. So it's a possibility that at one point you installed an app and without properly reviewing the additional add-ons it would install, you just kept clicking OK or Next on the software installer dialogue box.
1070  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: FALLING FALLING! on: August 24, 2023, 12:15:29 PM
Have you seen a double top on the weekly chart? what price will we go down to?Have you been hedging for a long time?
Considering other factors as well as the 200-day EMA, I think there is no going further down for now. The price touched the 200 EMA and is show signs of bouncing off it just like the previous bounce in June and also respecting the trendline.

We are probably looking at a consolidation phase

1071  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copytrading with Binance Leaderboard traders on: August 23, 2023, 11:57:14 PM
So I have to risk the security of my account and funds to "copy trade" Binance leaderboard traders via another third-party brand new sites which by the way I have to pay a monthly fee?  Roll Eyes

Does this make any sense?

What would stop me from just copy trading directly from Binance account for free?
1072  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Introducing SuperTrend AI: Your Ultimate Trading Companion on: August 23, 2023, 11:46:14 PM
Can you actually show us how your so-called supertrend AI tool works on live video? We need to look at win rates and maybe some back test results of different trading pairs once we have seen how it performs for a number of trades.

So many free supertrend strategy community scripts on tradingview as far as I know. They have nothing to do with AI.
1073  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum-4.4.6 Released. Fixes several lightning-related security issues on: August 23, 2023, 10:57:05 PM
Elecreum is the best. Don't care about security.
You should care about security at all costs.
Obviously, most of us here love electrum too, but that shouldn't mean that you should let your guard down. Hackers and malicious people are not sleeping.
1074  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of ?? ?? ?? on: August 23, 2023, 03:31:45 PM
It is written poorly, I agree.
Yeah, It's clear they don't entertain double spending, however the explanation about the double spending practices is completely off. Maybe Steve and the sportsbet.io team can pick off from here and try to improve on that clause to avoid future disputes.

Once or twice I couldn't withdraw and then I have seen it did not confirm yet and had no problems withdrawing after that confirmation passed.
Exactly that's what I observed with platforms where accounts even on Zero confirmations, you can't withdraw minus a blockchain confirmation at least, but that TOS clause paints a different picture.
1075  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SPORTSBET.io falsely accuses me of multi-accounting, and REFUSES to pay my money on: August 23, 2023, 03:15:59 PM
I think, if I understand their email clearly, your recent account was closed for multi-accounting in a way that your alleged previous account or accounts were banned from the platform from breach of another set of terms of service which was manipulation through double spending.
The KYC verification was part of the investigation to confirm if you were innocent or not.

I have no power to know if this is true or false, since casinos don't usually share their investigation reports to the public. Perhaps you should try using mediator platforms like casinoguru if you are very confident that you are not guilty.
1076  Other / Meta / Re: cryptofrka's Merit Source application - gambling boards on: August 23, 2023, 02:02:54 PM
I am in full support of your Merit Source application. Just like the Altcoin boards, the gambling board surely need some merit sources there. Despite the fact that there are so many clueless users who post in the mega threads, there are also some very knowledge members who share their excellent views in some threads. I believe their efforts ought to be recognized and perhaps this could help or encourage other members to improve on their post quality.
1077  Other / Meta / Re: [List]Merit Source pipeline applications (New and Old) on: August 23, 2023, 01:42:46 PM
Maybe i should remind you of this user i once saw his application but don't know if it's still available or had withdrawn his application, his username Bilgator, if am not mistaking he's one of the old members of this forum years back when he was an active member but not that active as before anymore, he applied for merit source and had always been interested being active once more again but things could not go as he planned, it's been a while I've come across his post, maybe you can research about him and update your list as well.
You mean this [Merit Source Application] bill gator

But he has been inactive for almost a year now. I don't think his application matter that much any more, he probably got other things that make him very busy outside the forum.
1078  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of ?? ?? ?? on: August 23, 2023, 01:31:55 PM
Your account is immediately credited as soon as the tx is detected on the network. 0 confirmation means instant betting at Sportsbet. Special, eh?
Cool, I am just having trouble interpreting that highlighted bit.

Say I send a bitcoin transaction to my Sportbet.io account, and it gets instantly credited with zero confirmations. I bet, and I win the bet, the transaction then gets confirmed after for a few hours and I attempt to make a withdrawal. Is this when sportsbet decides to lock up my account, citing this double spend clause?

I always thought double spending meant something else
1079  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: .0043 bitcoin loan defaulted by [Devawnm367] on: August 23, 2023, 12:51:10 PM
This is so sad.

Looking at the inactivity of Devawnm367 and his other known Alt account. It seems to me that he probably just left/abandoned the forum back the and had no plans of coming back here. OP, you have even been so lenient. Any reasons as to why you took a long time to open the scam accusation? Did you have some internal communications with him?
1080  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: August 23, 2023, 12:33:55 PM
Hi All,

As most of you are already aware, we are now officially: Official Betting Partner of Newcastle United Football Club.  Grin Grin
Congratulations and this is exciting  Smiley

Hi Steve, or anyone here better at interpreting the terms of service. Please help me dissect this clause, mostly that highlighted part;

Quote
7.6 If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you are using the "Double Spend" methodology, the Website shall void all bets and winnings. Specifically, if you win, then confirm your deposit on the Blockchain and attempt to withdraw, all winnings will be confiscated and your account will be closed permanently. We shall also exercise this right where similar activities are attempted from any connected accounts.
How does one stake if their transaction has not yet been confirmed and account credited?
