DECENT, sure your Sandra looks wonderful, but what are the diferences between DECENT and LBRY? Why should users prefer one or another platform?

ocminer is everywhere  Wink
 I will start mining tomorrow.
Thanks ocminer
But we need much more pools than 1-2...

Furthermore, any normal adequate developer should take some measures to provide solo mining or to give a possibility to miners to deploy their own local pools or even p2pool nodes. Because AFAIK any PoW-cryptocurrency should be protected from 51% attack. How can it be protected if the mining is only possible at one (!!!) pool?

But in case the dev is just trying to hit some money with another one shit-hype-fork - then I can understand why the network will not be protected from 51% attack at all...

Personally I would like to mine at my own p2pool node, or even at my personal unomp pool instance (a kind of solo mining), but unfortunately I have not enough skills to deploy it...  Cry

The dev could at least fork this solomining branch of zogminer: https://github.com/nginnever/zcash/tree/master, there is no need to reinvent the wheel...

1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 14, 2016, 05:17:06 PM
Is there any howto or manual or something that can help to configure a hosting in Sia UI version: v1.0.3 under Windows?

Everything is more or less clear until I press the "Announce" button at top right. What IP address should I input? And what port? Should I forward this(these) port(s) on my router?
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: November 14, 2016, 02:43:36 AM
I've got a Seagate PersonalCloud with over 3tb of space I'm not using that I'd like to put up for hosting.  There's a portion of that drive that is "public" and can be used without having to logon to my account.  When I try to select a folder within that as my host storage folder, I get the error "symlink W:\Sia C:\Users\SantasNotReal\AppData\Roaming\Sia-UI\sia\host\storagemanager\b5d869e5: A required privilege is not held by the client."

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Running SIA as administrator fixed this for me. Hope that helps.

Why can't SIA UI client work just as any other Windows appliucation? Usually it's not necessary to grant an administrator's priveleges to BitTorrent client, for example.

Recently I  have sent a little ADZs (3895 coins) to my ADZbuzz web wallet.

Why there is 0 (zero) at my web wallet balance?

If nothing works, stick with folding

Forget about just folding - there are a lot of distributed computing projects based on BOINC.

Sorry, I forgot that bits.media has some trouble now related to moving from one hosting provider to another. Temporary solution is to add the following to your "hosts" file (if you are under Windows):

Code:
176.9.19.12 forum.bits.media
78.46.244.226 bits.media

1078  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: November 08, 2016, 09:20:39 AM
Hello i was thinking of buying the Antminer R1 for mining backup equipment of my new website can someone say how much it mine's daily.

I am starting with small miner's and when the investment's mature , will probably buy more faster , mining equipment.

It looks like it mines nothing daily. It's just a curious toy, nothing more. You better start with something like Antminer S5, it's cheap enough these days and it should mine 0.0011 BTC daily.
