Are these on hand yet?  Do you have any pictures of the finished coin?  I'd love to see how these turned out.

Maybe people are seeing the amazing UV photo I posted for #4 and are wanting these badly.   Just kidding...

Perhaps people are trying to get in now before the auctions run out.

I will say I'm surprised, as I figured the prices would steadily decline as anyone who wanted them would bid on the first few, and there would be nobody left to fight over the remaining ones.

In preparation for the limited edition coins we thought about offering a second label option.  It would be a clear label allowing the silver or gold to shine through.  It would not have the tamper evident properties but would allow you to put your first bits on the paper wallet and allow you to see it through the label.  Here is a mockup:

Ravenbit did a clear tamper-evident holo label for something like this.  I wasn't a big fan as you had to make the visible paper cut neatly and properly sized to look good.   But it was tamper-evident and holo, so it had some good features.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=820645.0

Ideally, I would prefer a tamper-proof, custom not-clear holo, but I understand custom holos add cost.  If going that route, then you would want to ensure the lettering on the reverse doesn't get obscured.

The paper behind the holo bulges out.  It doesn't bother me.

This auction brought back memories of my epic battle with digicoinuser.

Congrats to the winner

You think this is over?
You think I don't have what it takes?
I fear no man.

I'm looking into holograms to fund the coins ( if people would like the coin)

One for me.

I wrote a while back, but would like to confirm that I wish to reserve your earliest available numbered coin.

Will do Smiley

its not 100% sure this will be done. minting 9 coins and ordering just 9 holograms is a bit expensive.

Any idea on price?  I do realize that 9 coins will have to absorb more costs per coin than in a large run.  Will the holos be custom or a generic one?

If you can leave one not gold plated, I may take that as well, so I'll take one of each.  It would save you some plating cost, while making two very rare varieties out of 9 total for collectors like myself.

i'm not sure on price yet, haven't got a quote from the minting guys yet.
how much would you be willing to bid ?

I'd like to see the holo too, but I'm guessing like .5 BTC ea.  I'm open to bidding higher as needed.

I assume these aren't 1oz pure Silver, so you're paying for rarity.
1068  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you make/redeem a physical Bitcoin? on: June 03, 2015, 01:03:48 PM
A private key on a piece of paper is placed behind a tamper proof holo.  A buyer peels the holo sticker when redeeming and imports into a client like blockchain.info and others.  The public address may optionally be visible on the outside or just on a card for the buyer to reference.

Look at Casaacius or Lealana coins as examples.  There are many similar coins out there in the Goods subforum.

Great writeup Bobsurplus.   Good to see that the OP came through and appear to be legit.

I've been in their store once and regularly receive their monthly paper catalog.  I haven't purchased a watch in years, but would certainly buy from them if I was back in the market to get something.

Interesting, "Expected delivery is between 5 to 7 working days for customers who pay via Bitcoin we have the capacity to ship over one hundred coins per day."

How long ago were the orders placed?

I believe May 25 was the first day, and when I ordered.

Same here.  It's strange because I couldn't recall specifically where I first heard about it and just figured it was on here but I did a few quick searches and I think this thread is the only mention of it anywhere on BCT.  I usually vet stuff more thoroughly than I did in this case, hence the thread.  I'll be sure to update when it arrives.

Agreed.

These guys were stealth, because I usually find out about all physical bitcoins on this forum.  I happened to find them through google searches.

Thanks, sounds like yours should be arriving this week I would think.  Did the seller provide tracking or is no update on the shipment provided?

I think the coin looks really good and am looking forward to someone receiving one and posting pictures.  Smiley

No shipping info.  Just a generic order placed email.  The coins looks really nice.

It has a deep relief and 2oz antiqued Silver like an Alitin but has a holo.

Has anyone ordered one of these or actually received theirs yet?

https://www.infinitumbitcoins.com/

I don't recall seeing anything on the forum about these.

ig

I ordered one the moment it went on pre-sale.  #14.  I haven't received it yet.
1076  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Ravenbit NODE physical coin on: June 02, 2015, 02:36:40 PM
mrbrt...I received your email today for your new NODE Antique Bronze.

Any chance you'll offer the remaining 15 at auction or as individuals?  I'd like one, but don't need 20.

Thanks.
I sent mrbrt a PM asking if he is willing to sell singles as well. If not, well, I guess that I'll have to do a group buy for them as I don't need 20 either. Tongue

I would be interested in one coin if you do a group buy.  I live in the US.
Ah, that might become expensive for you, as I live in the EU.

I suppose if its my only option to get a single, I'll still do it.  Perhaps if there are several US buyers, one person could distribute the rest to those in the US.

@bithalo.  Congrats!  Unless someone has not come forward you are the first one with the genesis bitcoin.  9 more scattered throughout as well as the lite and dogecoins.  All of the low serial number coins only available via packs as well.

Wheelz1200

Thanks Wheelz1200 and TookDk.

I was excited to get the variety I wanted.  I figured I had very little chance considering there are 12 Crypto versions and 9 of those had 20 coins vs the 10 coins for Bitcoin.
