1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin up 250,000% in Less Than a Decade Compared to S&P 500’s 147% on: November 28, 2019, 05:37:31 AM
We all regretted not investing Bitcoin in its early stage. We really can't avoid it since the media portrays Bitcoin as an asset used in dark web which would make impression to us that it is used in illegal activities. At least that's what I thought to Bitcoin back then until it is becoming famous around 2017. At least we are all here now. There's still a lot of opportunities for us.

So what differentiates them both is S&P 500 is composed of 500 stocks that are quite steadily growing. If one stocks were to moon, the others will average it were in Unlike Bitcoin were it is an individual investment. Bitcoin is also supported by altcoins.
1082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new Faketoshi strikes again! on: November 28, 2019, 05:13:49 AM
It's totally clear that satoshi intended to be anonymous for his life. He had done so much effort just to hide his tracks and he won't come on now revealing in a stupid way.
If satoshi really wanted to reveal himself, he would have come up with verifiable proof. Either satoshi is dead or don't want to reveal him till date.

You are not getting the point. The man isn't claiming that he is Satoshi himself but a co-founder of Bitcoin which is still absurd.

You can see this man getting interviewed all over Youtube too and getting so much dislikes. Not only that, he is lying about being friends with Andreas Antonopoulos which he clearly stated its a lie. There's also rumors spreading that he is wanted in germany, I haven't confirmed it though.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Data Breach: "1.2 billion people exposed" on: November 25, 2019, 12:34:30 AM
I am sure it's nothing related to bitcoin or cryptos at all! We have not yet reached billions yet! So it's highly unlikely that crypto community will be affected by this breach! It's probably from the organizations like Facebook, whatsapp, google, Instagram etc. Or probably from some giant international banks with trillion dollar valued transactions everyday (you know what I mean)!

That's what I thought too. I doubt the cryptocurrency community would be affected by this. If one of those companies mentioned are really exposed, I'll be making some serious profit out of this because it is like a free news. Now that the news is out, invest in their stocks when it is at the lowest. You'll see some gains in a few months. This is a big news for everybody that's why they delayed it.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need suggest invest in small amount on: November 24, 2019, 12:24:08 AM
Listen, no matter how much money you have, as long as you can afford it then invest. Use percentage when you trying to invest with the little amount you have. I'd still recommend Bitcoin as of lately because we just had a short dump from all the FUD happening in the forum and the news. Maybe 50% Bitcoin 10% ETH and the rest to the top 10 altcoins in the coingecko because most of the time, when Bitcoin pumps in a bull run, the others follow.

If you want an investment outside cryptocurrency, then I recommend index funds. maybe 50$ a month in there and you'll be wealthy in a decade.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did China really crash Bitcoin again? on: November 24, 2019, 12:18:13 AM
We are just getting to the price before the china announces their support for Bitcoin. People over hyped it which results into a pump of $10,000+ but when China released a statement that they only support Blockchain, people suddenly pull out. There's no theory or anything like that happening, we are just having a correction.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEO: A professional scam on: November 23, 2019, 05:42:21 AM
I think it's just a matter of knowledge in investing. It's just that investors hasn't learned anything from all the scams that happened during the ICO days. IEO is a really good way to make profit if you know what you are doing. It's just that those who doesn't know what they are doing, they are the target which in my opinion the majority of the investors are like that. Only target that the early birds feeds on. That's the reason why I stayed away from new projects the moment I realized the system in IEO. I might miss the train and the food.
1087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here’s What Happens When Bitcoin Block Rewards Reach 1 Satoshi on: November 23, 2019, 01:36:02 AM
As it stands, the next block reward halving is expected to occur in mid-May 2020, at which point the reward will be reduced from the current 12.5 BTC, down to 6.25 BTC per block.

By extrapolating forward, it is possible to calculate what the block reward will be at future halving dates. Based on this, the block reward will be reduced to just 0.195 BTC/block in 2040, before reaching a minimum of 1 sat (0.00000001 BTC) in 2140.

Source link for the full news here

I know that in mid-May 2020, we are expecting that the halving would make Bitcoin's price to increase even further. However, there are some analysts who claimed that halving may not guarantee that Bitcoin will be rallying or creating a huge impact in the crypto market.

The only thing for me about halving is that if miners will be motivated if the rewards are getting halved to 6.25 BTC per block. What do you guys think about this one? I would love to hear your comments regarding this post. Thank you in advance.

This will really test the miners whether they would mine or not. It's not really that big of a deal because even if some miners were to stop and the hash were to drop, the technology will adjust itself which means it would only affect the users for a short term and be back to normal again. To be honest, I'm really not expecting Bitcoin to gain much price just because of the halving.
1088  Other / Off-topic / Re: Odd Jobs For FREE: I'll Pray for You on: November 22, 2019, 04:09:37 AM
I would like you to pray that everyone else in this community conform to my high standards.

Thank you.

"Masturbation makes you feel good but doesn't do anything for the person you're thinking of.  Just like prayer."

This just made my day  Grin

Oh by the way, can you pray that my brother gets out of debt? Thank you.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good trading volume doesn't mean a token is good on: November 22, 2019, 03:25:30 AM
I'd still prefer those coins with good daily volumes though. I mean if they are attracting investors to trade their coin, then that would say they are still healthy and kicking. Most of the coins/tokens doesn't have any real use case anyway, they are just their to make hype and profit.

It's just a matter of where they are listed. Good coins are listed in good exchanges like Binance or Kucoin while bad coins are listed in unknown exchanges.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scarcity is one of the leading factors of Bitcoins value on: November 22, 2019, 02:34:40 AM
Open your eyes people. Bitcoin would never or would take a long time to have a scarcity. Yes we do have 21 million supply of Bitcoin but we have what we called decimals. Let's say there's no more Bitcoin to mine, people can just move decimals and we wouldn't noticed it even if the coded supply is only 21 million Bitcoins. There will always be more supplies. The real driving price of Bitcoin right now is its technology, not its supply.
1091  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Millennials Increasingly Prefer Bitcoin to Gold or Real Estate on: November 21, 2019, 09:31:55 AM
In my opinion, those options are one of the best out there as an investment, it just varies how financially wealthy you are. If you want to invest in Bitcoin, you would only need a fraction of what's the minimum you needed in real estate. Also, Bitcoin gives more flexibility and convenience compared to buying gold and real estate. Still I'd prefer investing in real estate most of the time because from the fact that everyone needs home and the price steadily grows as time goes by.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have a 12 word seed phrase that appears to be wrong (Ethereum) on: November 21, 2019, 01:46:00 AM
That's a bummer. You might have written a part of the seed wrong. There's no way (There is but it is near impossible to do so) for you to crack it because if ETH were to be crackable, then why use it. Try to check if you have a screenshot of the seed hidden in your folder because that's what I do just in case.

I don't know if btcrecover works on ETH seed, I only know it used for brute forcing password.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 20, 2019, 12:41:56 PM
Come on, we all had that experience at least once in our life time. Because of that, we became wise which helps our judgement in the long run. I'll be honest with you, it's not wise to hold mostly altcoins in your bag since it is really unpredictable. Most altcoins won't survive even if they had a good start. I say you hold those in the top ranking and mostly Bitcoin if you really want to see some serious profit in the future.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for a recession... Gold or Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2019, 09:56:16 AM
Let's not be fan boys here.
If you are a serious person and you deal seriously with your money, ofc you need to hold both of them. Gold and bitcoin. You don't have to choose only one.

That is true. Both Bitcoin and Gold would see some positive feedback with the upcoming recession that the analyst are saying. I don't really see any bad thing about it since you'll profit from both. Also, it's good to invest in both cryptocurrency and gold since they don't have any ties with US dollar. If a recession where to happen, some investors will sure to seek Bitcoin or gold to avoid losing money.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GameCredits (GAME) - Up 230% - What Happened? on: November 19, 2019, 08:43:23 AM
Congratulations, you been granted with a free pump and dump ticket to the moon. They had a new tweet about an american group taking over it https://twitter.com/gamecredits?lang=en but I doubt it's the real cause of the hype. Maybe a whale bought which triggered the market to rise. Better sell it before a correction happen.
1096  Other / Meta / Re: Is Bitcoin not supposed to be about FREEDOM ??? on: November 19, 2019, 08:31:48 AM
Meh, just read the whole thread. Your argument is too weak and has been discussed many times throughout the forum. You didn't present any evidences and started arguing that Bitcoin is this, Bitcoin is that. You can make an argument as long as you want but be sure to present some solid proof of what you are claiming. There's a lot of factors you did not consider before making an argument thus it is tagged as just another spam in my opinion and got locked.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: November 18, 2019, 10:16:02 AM

GOLD trading volume on BitForex exceeds $5 Million for this week!

This is an important advance and hopes that in the following week the trading volume will continue to increase, and this will cause the strong GOLD coins to prevent DUMP prices, and be able to withstand all those who throw their coins randomly.

I doubt you know the real meaning of stablecoin in this space. You should educate yourself.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australian Home Affair Minister Warns Terrorist Financiers Exploiting Crypto on: November 18, 2019, 10:11:52 AM
News like this has a negative effect on the growth of cryptocurrency, because ordinary people would assume that cryptocurrency
support terrorist acts. However, it is only alleged by the political elite in the world. In fact, when investigated, terrorist funds use
a lot with fiat and gold. Compared to using cryptocurency, therefore news like this makes crypto growth slow. I'm as an investor
in cryptocurrency, really regret this. It should be australian home affairs minister to be wiser in giving statement in the mass media.

At first, I thought Bitcoin is used for illegal activities mainly without doing a proper research on it but studied it before the boom happened in 2017. It really does leave a bad impression about Bitcoin for the normal citizens. Although the news or the announcement said that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is being "Exploited" by the terrorist, it doesn't necessarily mean it is mainly used for that. I wish some news or statistics pops up about the use of cryptocurrency in our modern days so people would be more educated.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitcoinV - Bitcoin with Variable Block Rewards on: November 18, 2019, 09:23:59 AM
DONT TRUST THIS SCAM COIN. THEY SWAP AND THE COIN IS LOST AMOUNT. I HAVE 2000 BTCV AND THEY SAY SWAP BELOW 10,000 BTCV IS USELESS. ITS LIKE THEY CREATE BIG INFLATION BY THEM SELF TO INCREASE THE VALUE AND GET MORE PROFIT.. 2000 BTCV BECOME 0.2 BTCV TOTALLY USELESS AND NOTHING AFTER THEY SWAP AND CHANGE THE WALLET. PEOPLE HAVE TO AWARE FROM SHITTY COIN MOD PLEASE MARK THIS COIN, THE OWNER JUST THINKING TO SELL THEIR COIN BY CASH ,CHANGE THE VALUE OF COIN, CREATE BIG INFLATION IS THE WAY TO CHANGE VALUE.

RIP 2000 coins. Why did you invest in this obvious scam anyway? with "Bitcoin" in its name.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption of crypto in retirement savings plans growing on: November 18, 2019, 08:03:56 AM
Including crypto in your 401k, is definitely something in the future
Oh man...I have a feeling that this will be popular with the upcoming generation, but I'm really not sure it's a great idea unless you're young and only if you don't keep the majority of your retirement portfolio weighted toward cryptocurrency.

Why would you want to take that much risk when you're talking about your retirement?  It isn't as tho bitcoin would be earning you any income in a retirement fund, which *is* the case with a lot of mutual funds and individual stocks.  Plus the volatility of stocks tends to be a lot less than any crypto, and I wouldn't be comfortable watching my future bounce around like a yo yo.  It's bad enough when the stock market crashes, but extreme price volatility is almost built into crypto.

Maybe they are pretty confident that the world would see Bitcoin's adoption in the upcoming decades which then hooks them to invest in this retirement plan. If you are only thinking about shot term, then it's a bad plan but for long term, I don't see any wrong in here. Bitcoin is only 10 years old but still has a lot of potential to grow. Given enough time for Bitcoin to be adopted by many, those who invested in this plan might get the ripe for all those years. We are talking about retirement plan here, long term holding.
