1081  Economy / Scam Accusations / [POSSIBLE SCAMMER] juggalodarkclow on: September 17, 2014, 09:28:01 AM
Now I don't like doing this to a Legendary member, but I have not received any communication from juggalodrakclow since I made payment for 18 Block Erupters won in this auction:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703356.msg8071162#msg8071162

I think you may be quoting the wrong bid? Unless my bid was incorrect for some reason?
Whoops you're right, sorry about that! PM incoming.

Last message received on the 28th of July:

Received and thank you! Positive trust on it's way. Once I have a tracking # I'll pass that along to you.

Payment sent to:

Total: 0.08032 BTC

My opinion is that jugg... is busy, or had something pressing to attend to, we all have lives outside the forum, but he has logged in since I made payment and has not provided any proof of postage OR COMMUNICATION so it's still not on. He didn't finish another one of his auctions so I hope that he is okay.

I will wipe this thread upon receipt of a refund.

1087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dicebitco.in Investment dice scam on: September 11, 2014, 06:50:34 PM
Seems a lot of people still don't realize they have DB signature or maybe they are still getting paid for it?

I have no way to know- the thread locked after lengthy back and forth.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: September 10, 2014, 07:46:48 PM
I know people are still dreaming about the decentralized lie they've been told by Roger Ver, Andreas, etc., but that simply won't happen and one can already see that Bitcoin has already been nearly completely centralized.

Glad to see other people with a similar take on things. Bitcoin is all but completely centralized. Besides it would have been anyway if Big Banks got in on the act.
1089  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dicebitco.in Investment dice scam on: September 10, 2014, 07:43:12 PM
I agree that it's strange and somewhat of a busy body thing to do, but I decided to change my signature since I got what looked like a final Payout, and from what I understand dicebitcoin has removed himself from the forum for the time being.

Honestly I don't know what has been going on, I don't have time to try verifying this myself.

I do find it strange to get a PM about it, seems like someone or some people are extremely angry at either a genuine scam or something else.
1090  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dicebitco.in Investment dice scam on: September 10, 2014, 04:29:02 PM
Anyone else got PMd about this? If this is true I'll have to remove the sig. Such a shame that this might be a scam.
1091  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scottish Independence May Be Coming Soon on: September 08, 2014, 10:05:36 AM
Younger voters (prideful and economically ignorant) voting yes. And the elderly worrying about their pensions!  Roll Eyes

I don't think that all of the younger voters are economically ignorant. Maybe some of the 16-year olds and 17-year olds might be ignorant. But the same won't be true for those who are in their 30s. These people are from the "Braveheart" generation. That is, the generation which is the most influenced by that movie. For them, independence is more valuable than anything else.  Grin

You may be right, I don't have a very high opinion of the average voter though (I mean voting to begin with is an act of futility) .. I wish them the best of luck with it.
1092  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The First Successful Demonstration Of Brain-To-Brain Communication In Humans on: September 08, 2014, 05:37:11 AM
For the first time ever, neuroscientists have demonstrated the viability of direct — and completely non-invasive — brain-to-brain communication in humans. Remarkably, the experiment allowed subjects to exchange mentally-conjured words despite being 5,000 miles apart.

It's the neuroscientific equivalent of instant messaging. Two human subjects, one in India and one in France, successfully transmitted the words "hola" and "ciao" in a computer-assisted brain-to-brain transmission using internet-linked electroencephalogram (EEG) and robot-assisted image-guided transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) technologies.

A penny for your thoughts. I loved one of the comments at the bottom "But don't be readin' my thoughts between 4 and 5. That's Willy's time!" I suppose this will add a new dimension to the term cyber sex Tongue

Interesting, but this kind of tech has been around a while, but it is cool to see more experiments with it :-)
1093  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Burger King Dares Obama To Stop It From Fleeing to Canada on: September 07, 2014, 07:57:50 PM
The thing about US corporate taxes is that lots of multinationals get away with paying an effective rate of just a few percent. Their accounts are saving them billions because of loopholes left in poorly thought out law and policy. The corporations are just going act as close to rational as they can, you can't blame them. Blame the poorly designed system.

It is not a poorly designed system- it achieves everything that government wants it to- fleece the sheep and fatten the wolves then point out how all these chubby wolves are destroying their country!

I agree that corporations are acting in their best interest. Though you cannot blame the system, governments hate tax havens (because they represent competition). A global control grid that taken money from the only people actually providing something (corrupt or not) will contract this mess even faster.

The 'system' will never be fixed because there are too many invested parties for real change to occur.
1094  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scottish Independence May Be Coming Soon on: September 07, 2014, 04:19:14 PM
Here are the results from the latest opinion polls:

http://yougov.co.uk/news/2014/09/07/scotland-yes-blitzkrieg-wipes-out-no-lead/

Main findings:

#1. Amazingly, 60% of the younger voters (<40 yrs.) want to vote YES.
#2. By two-to-one, Scots say Better Together has been negative
#3. 47% of the women plan to vote YES, the highest figure so far.
#4. Elderly voters are supporting NO by a huge margin (62% vs 38%)
#5. The gender gap has narrowed, but not disappeared

Its innevitable that the Better Together campaign will be negative. You are asking people if they want to change something, and the Better Together campaign is about saying No to that change. No is a negative answer - in fact it is 'the negative'. That doesn't imply its negative in the values sense of being bad.

I think the percentages are hilarious:

Younger voters (prideful and economically ignorant) voting yes. And the elderly worrying about their pensions!  Roll Eyes
1095  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Scottish Independence May Be Coming Soon on: September 07, 2014, 04:17:51 PM
If that's what they vote (for a set of slightly different masters) then let them have it. Unless they adopt free-er markets (unlikely in the short term) they're   screwed. Though I suppose they can capitalize in the medium term on oilfields (I'm not too clued up on it).

On the plus side it could significantly reduce Labour's strength in the south... While I don't vote myself and the progressive policies merge into pretty much the same, the rhetoric from Labour is economically ignorant. So I guess the least crappy guys (Con men) are better for the country.

Now if UKIP is more than a barking dog, things could get depressingly interesting for a while.

Accepting Monero for my 'Goxxed For The Last Time' pure silver coins (little more than an ounce in each coin).

My vote is for a bottom at either 440 or 400... I think it's lookout below if those are breached on volume.

bump for 25 btc lost and then deleted from thread.

Syscoin stands for censorship.

Free and open discussion in the thread is not possible. Only faithful bagholder comments allowed. Critics will be deleted twice a day in the dozens. Current syscoin-thread lost 2 full pages of comments in the last 30 minutes.

Holey moley. They will get what is coming to them, you can't do that to your own community.
