1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin grows, worlds money and big fishes. Is this connection obvious? on: May 31, 2019, 07:15:37 AM
I don't think you can not go far if you take any news you hear or read about cryptocurrency seriously because you would fall so easily for FUD and FOMO and make wrong decision. Bitcoin did not increase because of Donal trump supported or joined in(i still don't believe this)

Agree, not everything you read even if it is an article or news from other sources such be taken seriously. Try verifying any information or news you gather before believing it. OP can you share a link where you have read your post? Well, sure the market is composed of big fishes,  but there's no way to verify if ever Trump is mainly the reason why bitcoin is pumped. If you will read more articles, there had been a lot of news about crypto adaptation and positive news about crypto which is more probable cause of the increase in market demand.
1082  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptonites - A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY for Women, em. markets and Africa on: May 31, 2019, 12:47:56 AM
I don't see why people are so amaze when women are earning in crypto?
Why would they be amazed about it ? crypto is for everyone to use it is not just for a man there is no gender require for crypto right ,
So why is it so big of a deal when women enters crypto?
It is true it would help a lot specially for those who have child and only at their house it could give them extra money .

It's probably because there are significantly less women interested in cryptocurrencies, I mean it's the same in the finance sector in general.
Don't ask me for the reasons why that is, I'm just stating simple facts that are based on different research statistics.

https://cryptoslate.com/data-shows-that-women-are-underrepresented-in-blockchain-and-crypto/
https://www.forbes.com/sites/katieelizabeth1/2018/06/26/crypto-is-booming-where-are-the-women/

Sexism exists in all aspects: cryptocurrency, job opportunities, society so I guess it's normal that most people are amazed by the video. Honestly, the video is amazing, it shows how women can really be competitive in crptocurrency. It's amazing that even women are starting to learn and engage in cryptocurrency, as what Maria said females are less active in crypto space and in terms of awareness the number of female is lesser than male. Having women like Maria who's into cryptocurrency, this can impact the market as it can spread crypto awareness not just to male but also female.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Discourse In Twitter on: May 31, 2019, 12:38:47 AM
This is an interesting post in Twitter by the man named John McAfee a man who is very popular for his extravagant predictions on Bitcoin:

Quote

We don't need to be told the value of a dollar. Our awareness of value comes from knowing the dollar price of goods and services. In crypto we don't need exchanges to tell us value. The economy itself could be our guide. But first, we must use crypto as intended. Why wait? Use it.

- John McAfee

And to which someone replied:

Quote

Why wait? Let me tell you...we wait because its better to have it in your possession while it grows in value...imagine spending 1 BTC on something now that buys you $8k worth of goods but in a few years it could buy you $1m worth of goods...dont be the Bitcoin Pizza guy

- Crypt0_Cowboy

While cryptocurrency like bitcoin should be playing its role as a currency or money that we should be using with everyday purchases, the other side of the coin is always holding us...and that is where we become speculators or hodlers believing that bitcoin can soon go beyond the $20,000 zone previously achieved.

Well, satoshi really intended cryptocurrency to be an alternative medium of exchange to be used as it is, and not as an investment tool. However, the potential of crypto as an investment tool weighs more than than how it is really intended to be used. Of course, no body wanted to be another pizza guy buying something out of a lot of bitcoin as many are speculating bitcoin price to be too high in the future.
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 | Bitcoin Halving Explained on: May 31, 2019, 12:33:51 AM
Well, most people are looking after the next halving which will take place a year from now. A early as 2019 the market price of bitcoin started recovering from the recent bull-market and upon looking at the historical chart and prices of bitcoin, many are speculating that the history will just repeat it self. Many are waiting for a bull-market this coming halving. Let's just hope that the halving this coming 2020 will make a new ATH on bitcoin price as how many people speculated.
1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin is the Global Reserve Currency: A look at banking in 2050" on: May 31, 2019, 12:24:56 AM
We just published an article examining banking under the gold standard and predicting what banking might look like under a Bitcoin-backed global economy:

https://beyondhy.pe/bitcoin-reserve-currency

Interesting article, but I don't think that the Central banks will give up their monopoly on money, Central banks will in 30 years probably hold bitcoins just as they hold gold. But I don't think that we will see the government paying salaries to their workers in bitcoins.

Private banks that hold bitcoins will probably have a better credit rating than banks that don't have any bitcoins. If banks one day going to lend out cryptos it will most likely be crypto from a blockchain they control. This way we cut end up going back to the old time where every bank was issuing their own currency.

Well, somewhere in the future cryptocurrency can be an alternative to money, but it will never replace money as we know banks they will not give up their power in controlling the flow of money, not to mention the government using cryptocurrency as the main currency. What's written in the article could be a great thing to happen, but looking at how things are right now, this is less likely to happen in the future. However, we don't actually hold the future, and we can't tell what might happen to crypto in the future.
1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold forum on: May 31, 2019, 12:16:21 AM
Wow, these gold bugs really hate Cryptocurrency with a passion. I was a gold bug myself years ago. I would visit a gold site called kitco and read all the threads about metals and a return to a gold standard. It was there, on the kitco site,  that I first heard of bitcoin. Being young and only slightly invested in metals , I found it easy to switch to bitcoin. I’d imagine if I had been older and more heavily invested in gold, I’d most likely been jealous and hostile toward something that could threaten my investment like bitcoin.
Anyway I stumbled onto the site recently, and was surprised to find a Cryptocurrency section. Then I read a few of the threads.the section clearly isn’t there to educate or inform anyone about Cryptocurrency. It’s just a lot of fud. Nearly every post is about something negative. I thought gold and cryptocurrency people had more in common.    I am still into metals, though if I have any extra funds , every single penny goes to crypto, not wasting it on metals anymore. Crypto is the future.

Well some people who were investing in gold turned to crypto because of it's income potential compared to investing in gold. That is why some people who are into gold investment would always have something to say about cryptocurrency. There will always be bitcoin naysayer in different financial aspects, people from banking, stock investors, gold investors and a lot more will always have something bad to say about crypto. Just let them be, in the end they will be left out as cryptocurrency mass adaptation occurs.
1087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security and Education of Microfinancing in Developing Countries on: May 31, 2019, 12:13:13 AM
In developing countries, this is exceptionally hard considering that those who may wish to get a hold of such a financial service are either in deep debt, too poor to offer a collateral or mostly scammers using fake identities to later default on the loan. Fast cash is accompanied with high interest rates and a short repayment term, so while the idea sounds promising, it just wouldn't work on developing countries and would only worsen the state of those people who don't know how to handle their finances.

Micro financing is intended to give loan to small businesses or people with little income. I agree with your statement, even if it is intended to help people who has no access to financial service, it might just become a burden to them since some people who are financially incapable doesn't really know how to handle their finances.
1088  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Sending BTC from Gambling Site to Binance? on: May 30, 2019, 11:35:57 PM
The best thing to do is to contact their support team so they will do a certain action for your query. No one can fix it for you here. I had a smooth transaction with a gambling site to binance so I think you only have to report this case.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN Price surges over 9k$ but suffers massive dump on: May 30, 2019, 10:27:01 PM
We can't force people to hold. They will surely dump once the prices go high. People's decision is uncontrollable but I'm sure that the price will surely rise up again after that huge dump. Lucky are those who are continuously holding despite all the changes in the market.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Satoshi filed claim for Bitcoin Whitepaper on: May 30, 2019, 10:01:09 PM
Sounds like more people are following the footsteps of Craig and that's insane. They are thinking that they will succeed through that strategy. Why don't they promote their own coins in their own ways? People will only hate them for doing such thing and might affect their coins as well.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 63 c-gambling projects list | April'19 survey on: May 30, 2019, 03:11:42 PM
What are the grounds that you have considered in ranking these sites? However, I could see an accuracy but we have different perspectives. There are sites where we're comfortable using yet they're listed on the lower rank. The good thing is, most of the gambling sites that I'm currently using are listed on the top 15.
1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins in hands of whales - should be worried? on: May 30, 2019, 01:46:17 PM
That's a huge amount and I guess that's enough for them to manipulate the market. However, I guess they're just like us who are aiming for the same thing. They also want the prices to go high and gain a good profit. It's either they would influence the market positively or negatively.
1093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc has no value on: May 30, 2019, 10:25:08 AM
Bitcoin is actually considered as digital money. It has value but its role is quite different from physical money. It could be a currency in the future but it doesn't mean that t will be replacing any currency. We only need adoption and acceptance to make it the most valued currency.
1094  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YOBIT exchange scamming peoples in EGOLD ICO and steal a lot of investors BTC's on: May 29, 2019, 11:50:31 PM
Op, I think it's better if you will focus on a single thread.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5148836.0
You can delete the other one and stick to this thread. However, we all know that Yobit now has a bad reputation so we better get rid of it. There are still lots of trusted exchanges to use so let's not risk our funds in Yobit.
1095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rakuten Partners with Ciphertrace for AML on New Tokyo Crypto Exchange on: May 29, 2019, 11:18:43 PM
The business industry is starting to adopt cryptocurrency. From being just a rumour to reality, everything is really surprising. Rakuten will surely not the first e-commerce business to accept crypto. When other e-commerce businesses would notice the value of accepting crypto, they will surely switch to it as well.
1096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bitcoin? - An Educational Guide for 2019 on: May 29, 2019, 11:09:08 PM
Some people are searching for online crypto books which actually has the same content as these topics.
Topics like this will be a good guide for those who want to explore more about Bitcoin.
Common questions like these need to be answered directly so newbies won't get confused.
1097  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whats better holding many coins or fewer coins? on: May 29, 2019, 09:44:34 PM
Both are profitable so you don't have to struggle to choose. You can invest some in Bitcoin and other in Ethereum. You can divide your capital and you can also choose in potential altcoins if you want. It all depends on your span of holding but if I were you, I will not hesitate to invest on Bitcoin especially now that the prices are getting better.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $190 - BSV is the real Bitcoin on: May 29, 2019, 05:25:22 PM
If you're a believer of CSW then I hope that you will never get tired of defending and making people believe that you're on the right side. I don't think BSV could go far because of the controversies that it's facing. No coin could replace BTC and could reach the same achievements that it has reached for years.
1099  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here It Is - Bitcoin Trading Guide You Guys Asked For on: May 29, 2019, 05:01:33 PM
I have opened your blog and everything is clear and informative. I appreciate your effort for sharing your knowledge about crypto. Try to summarize at least one chapter of your blog and share it here so readers will never doubt about it. Honestly, it's informative and worth reading.
1100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is behind BITCOIN Cash SV Pumping on: May 29, 2019, 04:42:51 PM
They're currently having the BSV CoinGeek conference in Toronto. As far as I know, fomo occurs sometimes when these conferences come up in the hopes that there will be good sort of "announcements" and such.

Agree with this. Most investors expect too much once they hear that the team is having a conference which affects the prices. People are too hopeful that there will be changes which could bring them a good profit through holding such coin in time. Even updates are being manipulated which is making announcements more unreliable.
