1101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: US banking money services competing with PayPal on: August 08, 2014, 07:54:17 AM
These types of online transfers has been around for a while. It's just as unsafe as using paypal when it comes to buying/selling btc.

It's only free if you transfer to someone with the same bank. Otherwise, there are fees higher than paypal. I believe Chase quickpay can ONLY be sent to another Chase account.

Right when I was about to buy one too. Some people just stoop to new levels of low.

my account doesn't have a card or anything attached and its a gmail account -
What do you mean card? Credit card? If he is selling accounts, there's no way he would leave any credit card for payments.
1104  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: 1.95 BTC for sale - quick sale on: August 08, 2014, 07:17:29 AM

Except he is in the US, and can't do a cash deposit  Wink

if anyone  were to be so kind and help mitigate my loss via crowd sourcing it would be much appreciated..

Crowd funding is typically funds to kickstart a project. What you're doing is begging. WTF have you done for the community, and what projects have you contributed in? I'm quite baffled by this sense of entitlement.

This place is like india… I'm at the end of the line, time to take what i can and cut my losses.. oh ya..

Cut your losses, at the expenses of others, when it was YOUR fault. Wow you selfish fuck. I hope you don't recover your 0.2 btc.

If anyone is thinking about donating, please direct your funds to Sean's Outpost instead, where these people are actually in need for basic necessities, and something that they didn't cause to themselves.

1106  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 08, 2014, 05:17:50 AM
Need 0.04 BTC loan for around 7 days.
Denied.
1107  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [selling] up to 40 btc, any amount on: August 08, 2014, 02:45:19 AM
Wu /Paypal, How much you can sell to me?

Depends on how many you're willing to buy

Do you sell bitcoin to people in Canada?
do you convert canadian to us dollars?

I can sell to any country. I can also convert between almost any fiat, but there are exchange fees associated with that, which depends on the banks, not me.

For your specific case, since it doesn't look like cash can be an option (you're international), then you'd have to do a wire transfer and cover all associated fees.
1108  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 08, 2014, 02:20:11 AM
Looking for a 1.5 BTC loan.

Denied. Requested amount is too high, and also I can't determine how much trustworthy you really are from an account that was potentially purchased/sold.
1109  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Reputable Trader Accepting Loans 5.0% Weekly! on: August 08, 2014, 01:21:19 AM
I want to publicly update also: he had a loan due on July 31, ended up being late, couldn't repay full amount (but did pay almost half of it), we agreed for more time for the remaining amount to be due today. He cannot repay once again, so I'm forced to give another extension. I'll update once he fully repays the loan.
1110  Economy / Currency exchange / [selling] up to 30 btc, any amount on: August 08, 2014, 01:04:01 AM
I'm willing to sell any amount up to 40 btc. PM me offers or post here, nothing below bitstamp rate. Right now cash is king (mail or in person), but here are other payment methods in order of preference:

- cash
- money order
- AmazonPayment
- Google Wallet
- wire transfer
- online bank transfer
- Western Union
- Moneygram
- Vanilla reloads
- dwolla
- paypal
- personal/business checks

I'm located in the US. Newbs or untrusted accounts can only do cash in the mail.

Did you barely make the 20 post count just so you can request? Denied.

Is there any way to have a custom vanity address be the start of a new deterministic Armory wallet address?

FAQ: Can I use my Bitcoin-Qt wallet in Armory?

Unfortunately, Armory does not support the same address format that Bitcoin-Qt uses. The feature was available in Armory until the new format was adopted by Bitcoin-Qt in April 2012. However, Armory will be upgrading its own wallet format very soon, to support wallet types of lots of different programs, in addition to supporting multi-signature transactions (see below). However, even if Armory could use Bitcoin-Qt wallets, they would need to be backed up every couple of months because they are “non-deterministic.” For this reason, it is recommended that you create a native Armory wallet, and transfer your funds to it instead of waiting for the migration feature (and then make a paper backup of it!). Anything that could be done with a Bitcoin-Qt wallet can be done with an Armory wallet. Also, Armory has a feature that makes it easy to export your private keys, so that they can be imported into another program (such as Bitcoin-Qt). If you try Armory and decide you don’t like it, you can use this feature to “migrate” your Armory wallet to another application. However, for a variety of reasons, it is still recommended to just send the funds to the other wallet instead of migrating

Is there any way to integrate the private keys and addresses from the old bitcoin-Qt to Amory's deterministic wallet, so that I can just have one neat file without having to constantly backing up the imported private keys? I'm still expecting payments from a lot of these addresses, so I actually do need to import them instead of just generating a new one in Armory.

I also want to import vanity addresses, can these be integrated into the Armory's wallet without having to frequently backup this imported key?

Are you stealing these chemical from your lab to use as collateral? I'm sure you're aware that many of them are restricted to the average citizen, then you'd have to comply with certain guidelines to ship them.

I highly recommend you try out some XTC to cheer up a little bit. Who are you - the Bitcoinpolice or what? Take a brake Bozo.

What makes you think I'm a grouchy downer? What I mentioned was a very valid concern, you work in a lab and order chemicals, so you already know that. There are plenty of restricted compounds that civilians are not allowed to have.

I'll make sure to ask for chemical ingredients to make ecstasy you just mentioned. When customs seizes the package, or when I receive the package, I'll just report that my chocolate came with some weird substance that I didn't order. They'll trace it right back to you, then real police can come after you  Cheesy

If there's ever any problems, like balance going to zero, are you taking the liability? If I can have this assurance, then I'll buy one.

Amount: 0.025 BTC

Denied. Your account is only a few weeks old, and all you do is spam the off-topic section. Perfect for a throwaway account, or one to be sold later.

can we all collectively perhaps chip in a few coin each to help replace this…

As far as I know… this is not my fault and 110% block chain fault.

no one helps my oopsie… it makes everything bitcoin look bad. A giant ugly mole on its face that keeps growing.

I do feel bad for you, as this was an honest mistake, but you need to recognize that it's YOUR mistake. You take no responsibility for your mistake. This is the equivalent of shooting someone and say it's the gun's fault. Stop playing the blame game. Then you resort to begging for everyone to chip in to help cover your loss, like it's the community's responsibility to cover for you. Stop with the attitude of entitlement. Lastly, people ARE trying to help you, as you can see from this thread. EVERYTHING related to bitcoin looks bad because of your one incidence? You're not that important.

Use the standard Qt client. You can't change the fee amount unless you actively look for the setting.
1120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where can I buy bitcoin via credit or debit card? on: August 07, 2014, 10:28:41 AM
Coinbase takes payment with credit card, however fees are higher than normal payments, and also you have to go through all their verifications.
