1121  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it about morality or productivity in choosing to work from Home on: May 20, 2023, 04:26:14 AM
Do you agree with Elon Musk or do you disagree with him?
I suppose Musk here is fighting for "equality", where people of a single company should go to and fro in the same office every day for their work. And it's just dumb (and there really is no such thing as equality tbf). I mean, let's be real, his argument of service workers coming to the office to work REQUIRES them to work there because that's there, or at least a part of their job description, simple as that. Some jobs are able to function well enough in their homes. Though it may be a matter of preference for them, it certainly doesn't necessitate the requirement for them to go to the office to perform their job.

I agree that it isn't really about productivity, I mean some people are just more productive in the office with fellow workers, and some are just productive while in the comfort of their home. Morality? Now that idrk where he got that from. Plus, I say bosses, team leads, CEO's or whoever is in the lead probably just isn't used to handling people online, hence why they make them come to the office, where they actually know how to.
1122  Economy / Economics / Re: Kraken, UK trade body derides lawmaker description of crypto as ‘gambling’ on: May 19, 2023, 02:08:24 PM
Well if they mean crypto trading, then it CAN technically be one, just that it isn't exactly the word I'd use as something that encompasses the entirety of it. Otherwise, the entire investment market might as well be one. Or maybe the meaning of gambling changed at some point that I wasn't familiar with.

Well, I'd give them the benefit of the doubt if they actually make a separate law instead of categorizing it as gambling fully since I won't deny that crypto (trading) is indeed a high (very) risk type of investment in most cases. If they do actually categorize it LIKE gambling, then I'd be kinda disappointed with how the meeting went since from the article, the meeting had plenty of evidence explaining what crypto (trading) actually is.
1123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there play and pay later casinos? on: May 19, 2023, 04:14:11 AM
So is gambling debt one way or other possible without the person taking loan or borrowing money?
I think casinos allow it depending on how much they actually know about you? Doesn't even have to be a VIP system sometimes, if a casino knows you're a regular, spends a stable amount and can afford a debt, they'd probably give it a go signal. To make things more sure they'd probably ask for something like a paycheck to make sure you can actually pay something.

Maybe even a contract, which is what I'd probably look for if I was personally looking for one. Now if a casino offers you one though, then do due diligence. Any contract, not just in gambling or casinos, can suck the life out of you after all
1124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake 93% to reach platinum 3 i need strategy on: May 19, 2023, 12:04:46 AM
Hey I mean assuming the 93% means you're already at 93% of the requirement, I don't think you're that far off. That's about $7,000 (assuming my math isn't off) that you have left, by the amount you've already wagered that should be peanuts (or a bit above that maybe) from your pov.

No strategy in gambling really, just spend what you can. If You're having difficulties cause of that same rule, then take your time, I don't think there's a need to rush, and neither should you.
1125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like Meme Coins ? on: May 18, 2023, 12:37:46 PM
These days everyone is talking about the Meme coins and they are trending. Do you like investing in MEME coins ?

Do you like Meme coins and what are your Opinions on Meme coins. I understand Meme coins have no use case but they have hype and that's what you need to make money. Yes, the narrative of Meme coin is very short lived but it may give you 50x or 100x returns within no time.
No not really. I have recently been acknowledging that you can easily make a really quick buck if you're lucky enough. Doesn't really make me like it at all though, if anything it made me dislike it more.

The news showcase booming meme coins but it never really showed how many meme coins are out there that never made the cut. Though minimal investment can go a long way if you get lucky, it isn't really my type to look for it like that, which is why I went to DCAing all of my coins.
1126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things that still make feel awkward with some online casinos on: May 18, 2023, 04:10:58 AM
I reckon most casinos( or any centralized company thay handles crypto) have a set amount that they use, plus a service fee. It might not dynamically change depending on immediate changes in the mempool, so they're slow in the update, and if they actually do, it's either because the fees became higher than what they originally set or because of a cycle, e.g. having a set fee for the entire day whichever is set at say, 12mn, where updates will only ever happen if as I said, fees go higher than what they set.

It doesn't really hurt them that way, could even be additional profit so they don't particularly mind having to change it. It's just business, and their customers still use them so they don't really see any need to actively reduce/adjust the system.
1127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: May 18, 2023, 12:17:04 AM
I wouldn't recommend investing everything you have immediately, looking at the chart the growth really looks insane but at the same time investing shouldn't really be done when it's up, it's when it's down that you actually should. Unless you're pretty sure the price would still go up or at least stay at it's current level in a stable manner, I'd avoid investing a whole lot on it.

On it's usage, I'm not sure but I think it should be related to the NFT rollbot that rollbit released long ago? Looking it up it seems to be used as lottery entries, there might be more but seeing the price increase it would seem that said lottery offers a lot, plus their burning mechanism which creates scarcity for the token itself.

If you wanted some similar benefits like VIP in some casinos, their NFT is what you need, not the token afaik.
1128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Confusion about sweepstakes and gambling on: May 17, 2023, 12:03:09 PM
What do you know about sweepstakes? I heard that some online casinos are using sweepstakes law to sidestep gambling regulations, they said users aren't really betting with their money but instead they are betting seepstakes ticket, this person also said that someone need to buy social coin and get those sweepstake tickets for free.

He also said that sweepstakes is not gambling and I am confused, he made mention of Stake.US as one of those online casinos using sweepstakes, I did my own research and it's said that sweepstakes are illegal, this is why I am confused.

Maybe those in the US on this forum can answer this question diligently?

1. Is Sweepstakes illegal in the US?

2. Is Sweepstakes gambling or not?
Sweepstakes is basically gambling, but entry is free. The idea was enforced by the US afaik, and any sweepstakes claiming to be one that asks for an entry free would be illegal since it's at that point, called gambling.  I would differentiate between the two since sweepstakes involve (should involve anyway) no money, at all, in any form. You can compare it to a bonus so to speak in grocery stores or markets.

It isn't illegal in the US, in fact, afaik it started from the US, or at least, the idea that sweepstake was a form of having a chance of winning something without having the need to spend money.
1129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Assess a Memecoin and Not Get Scammed ;) on: May 17, 2023, 04:13:01 AM
Well I must say that was rather unlucky then. I wouldn't really only use this on meme coins, this kind of checking should be pretty useful among any other coin out there. I mostly check token holders and how much spread out it actually is just to avoid some sudden manipulation dump.

Outside of numbers it's pretty natural to read the tokens whitepaper just to see what they're doing and what they're planning to do in the future. Can be quite convoluted at times but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.
1130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: May 17, 2023, 12:14:12 AM
DON'T GAMBLE IF THE INSTANT WITHDRAWAL IS NOT AVAILABLE!
Or just don't gamble if you don't have the money  Wink . Kidding aside (not really), I'd say it's just because you were rushing for it, which can be seen as patience but I reckon it's something different. I mean you were rushing for funds here for some reason which meant you had or needed to spend it for something. I say try to just leave, close the casino when withdrawing and check it the next day instead. What I do most of the time. If it's still there the next time, then just retry.

Don't get me wrong it happens to the best of us imo. I've had some instances of it as well but I never really went past the point where I'd gamble it again while waiting.
1131  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational Parade on: May 16, 2023, 10:20:18 PM
in the video, it is not explained which region (city) it comes from but it is clear that the parade is from my country, in the parade it is clear what slot players get when they play from the "first" month (still motorbikes are expensive) to month "fourth" (ugly motorcycle).

without direct education by the central and local governments to young people and the general public, I think this kind of parade is not effective enough, it's even obvious, the parade is the initiative of the private community in the area.

do you think, a parade like this will be effective in reducing the level of gambling addiction?
Were those what the signs meant? I wasn't sure since I couldn't read the entirety of it properly. I actually doubt they intended to send a gambling addiction reduction as a message though, it's more like satire in the sense of gambling and if they did, well, they failed successfully. It is kind of funny though seeing that god of Olympus-themed slots being shown like that.

Even if it was actually intended, I highly doubt it would've been helpful in the first place. Messages like these are easily forgotten since they're more enjoyable (or easy to ignore) at the moment, but easily forgotten once a few hours have passed unless a really memorable event happened, and these kinds of events that aim to reduce gambling addiction don't really give enough of that imo.
1132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ultimate Meme Coin is Here Sheep coin Launching soon on: May 16, 2023, 04:19:56 AM
After this Sheepcoin we will have Goatcoin or Frogcoin, and while we are discussing this developers are on farms and in backyards to check what other animals or insects they can create a meme to hype to the community.

We are really in the year of meme coins after the PEPE meme coin trend and it will continue as long as these meme coins are getting hype and getting a good volume in the market.
Now it'd actually be interesting if they built a community among animal themed meme coins, kinda like a zoo really. I reckon it'd be a pretty big project/community which would kind of develop towards something more non-meme-ish, one worthy of investment I suppose.

Probably just a dream for now though. A majority of these coin devs are just there cause of the hype, hoping to iit some minor investors imo.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best and worse slots on: May 16, 2023, 12:31:43 AM
I usually prefer myth related games. I enjoy those kinds of themes in any types of games, not just in slots. I probably played a few more non-myth themes but it's been so long I can't remember lmao.

I reckon it's all just up to luck though? Sweet bonanza may just have been the game when your luck was at the top. I'd still say try out a lot of others, slots cover a lot of themes so it'd be a waste to not try the lot of them simply because you were luckier on one.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some needed features of an online casino. on: May 15, 2023, 01:00:14 PM
Do the casinos you play in still have their rules from the past? Not just a selfie, they even require people to put up a lot of other documents like bills as proof of identity afaik. It's not even for preventing addiction or anything (nor it can really), it's just the way the laws that they follow work. And honestly speaking, probably ANY type of rule or ToS in casinos that directly involve in stopping players would inevitably cause them a loss, and at the end of the day they're a business, so I highly doubt they'd do that. That's why self-exclusion exists, it's a great way to let users know that they "seem" to care, but they won't really force it onto them no, cause it's a direct loss on their part.

Maybe the time can be a useful one though. Not like someone who really wants to gamble would care tbf.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST TIMEZONE FOR SPORTsBETTING on: May 15, 2023, 04:11:48 AM
I'd say it depends on what you're watching im the first place? I mean some DOTA majors happen literally at 1-2 am in my timezone, while some are at 9-10pm. It's inconvenient for sure especially if you enjoy watching matches live.

I don't particularly mind it tbh, I usually just watch replays if I can't watch the matches themselves, but if I were to pick a time then 7-9 pm at my local time zone. Calling it "best" for sports betting is kind of nothing though since it doesn't really affect both the match and my bet. It just affects us, who wants to watch it.
1136  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎰 What software of online casino slots do you prefer? on: May 14, 2023, 11:56:36 PM
To get high chances of winning big at online casinos, you need to understand slot machines.
For example, some slot machines are programmed for low winnings and it's not about the RTP. It's just that the mathematical model of individual slots was initially built very poorly.

🗄 I have a lot of experience playing online casinos - more than 10 years and I know what I'm talking about.

🏆 For example, my favorite slots are from the following software - Push Gaming, Relax Gaming, Netent.

🤷‍♂️ What is your favorite software? Can you tell us more about your favorite slots?

You mean provider? Cause using "software" can be kind of confusing imo. I'm mostly familiar with pragmatic, their usually the provider I look for whenever I go to a new casino to play in. I've also remembered Play N' Go but as for the others, I've probably long forgotten their names since I haven't particularly tried to remember those.

In general though I don't really mind which provider I play at, I mostly base off my choices on the designs and themes anyway.
1137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You are still very early on: May 14, 2023, 11:05:34 AM
1. Bitcoin total max supply is almost at 21milliion, why should I invest?
2. Bitcoin miners are not making more Bitcoin as they used to.
3. Bitcoin value is too high, I won't make enough gains investing in Bitcoin.

Before you nailed me to the wall for saying these, this aren't mine, they are shit talks I heard from people who believe that Bitcoin investment is too late, what advice do you have for them? Your contributions are welcome.
1. Anddd this is a reason why? They probably don't even understand what the max supply even means for Bitcoin.
2. You're not the bloody miner brother. And comparatively speaking, there's an improvement in hash power from last year to this, so I don't think it matters much.
3. It's too "high" in comparison to zero, yes, but it isn't exactly the max, no one really knows if it actually is after all.

I mean, people who don't want to invest would always find a reason not to invest, and people who do would always be able to find a reason why, I don't think there's any need for advice here. Information about Bitcoin is plenty in the internet, it just takes a bit of time to study up, and probably a bit of guidance for some to make sure they got the correct info. It's also a matter of investing in Bitcoin is for the long term for the most part, and not a quick easy rich scheme.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: May 14, 2023, 03:12:21 AM
I was joining bounty from year 2017 till present i have experience joining different signature and social media campaign with good  earnings and there are also campaigns that is not profitable  and sometimes there are campaign that doesn't pay, because the project does not reach the hard cap when they launch ICO, most of the projects pays token that is not listed on exchange and we need to wait a months or maybe a year before we can sell our tokens and get the profit and sometimes we also buy tokens from the good projects that we promote and hold, can we considered the patience of the bounty hunter same as the investors patience?
I guess? Just the patience though. Technically speaking bounty hunters aren't really investors, I'd say investors invest both time and money on a project (mostly money tbf), while bounty hunters spend time on trying to spread the word about it, and they get rewarded. They're workers so to speak, and their rewards are a form of investment towards the product that they are advertising. There's also the amount of risk. Yes, bounty hunters still invest time BUT they don't exactly take up a majority of the 24 hrs in each day, maybe at most an hour or two. That's pretty low risk compared to thousands of dollars of investment towards a project.
1139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PEPE AI Scamcoin ? on: May 13, 2023, 04:05:45 PM
Is the PEPE AI scamcoin or another memecoin ?
I'd reckon it's safer to just stay away from coins that use "PEPE" on their name, at least for now. I reckon a lot of projects are trying to take advantage of it's name and try to lure newbie investors from investing to the og pepe memecoin (which is also as bad as any scamcoin really) to theirs instead. If you really want to invest on it, just do it for like a very short term, if you've profited enough then pull out, I don't see any reason to risk to maximize your gains, any gain is a win imo.
1140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: May 13, 2023, 02:31:25 PM
The PEPE  is down to 0.000001 value  now is good time to buy yes?Huh?
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pepe/

Binance aproves PEPE as a good oportunity.11.5
Elon musk made a Tweet about PEPE 10.5

5000% PROFIT IN MAY POSSIBLE TO ALL ?
That was when it was first released. Looking at its chart right now, if you were shorting then maybe? Though it's going up right now from a small bottom so I don't think it's the time to enter, but shorting in general should be fine. As an investment for a few months (or just weeks really) though? Not so much. It just dumped so hard after that pump, which looks manipulated a f. If you were able to ride early on then congrats to you, but if you were late and hoping to get a slice of the pie, then I just hope you manage to actually break even.
