11541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arcade machine? on: March 02, 2016, 02:08:47 AM

Sure it could be changed to but look how hard it is to change anything bitcoin, I think we are going to have realize Bitcoin isn't going to be the all in one coin solution unless many things change.

Agree. And I might think that the perfect candidate for this type of thing could be Ethereum all along. Since it is a decentralized app platform, such application could be made within the Ethereum blockchain to program any vending machine or arcade cabinet to accept ETH. It would be much faster to confirm an ETH transaction, than having to wait 15 to 30 minutes for BTC to get confirmed at all.  Smiley

How to plot and mine on your phone (Linux experience is helpful)

This guide is for Anroid 5.x and it's better your SD-Card is formatted exFat for files bigger than 4 GB.

Plotting:

1. You need a Terminal for your phone – I recommend Termux for Android 5.x → https://termux.com/
2. After starting Termux type:
Code:
apt upgrade
3. type
Code:
apt update
4. type
Code:
apt install apt install git
5. type
Code:
git clone https://github.com/dawallet/burst_arm_tools
6 type
Code:
cd burst_arm_tools
7 type
Code:
cd dcct_tools_for_android
8 type
Code:
termux-setup-storage
9 type
Code:
cd bin
10 type
Code:
chmod 777 plot32

11 type
Code:
./plot32 -k 1232353462354235 -d /storage/sdcard1/Android/data/com.termux/ -s 0 -n 10000 -m 1024 -t 4

How to use dcct_tools is explained here: Short explanation and here: Detailed explanation

Mining:

1. type
Code:
chmod 777 mine_pool_all32
(or mine32, mine_pool_share32 – depends which file you want to use)
2. type
Code:
./mine_pool_all32 burst.ninja /storage/sdcard1/Android/data/com.termux/

Voilá.

The port is alpha, there are many bugs. Please share your experience.

The directory on SD Card have to be writeable and due to Androids permission policy it has to be the /com.termux/ directory!

- daWallet

Now this is very useful. I was looking forward into something like this for my spare Android tablet. Luckily, I hope it would work with an external ssd connected to it via a USB OTG cable. I will give it a try.

I have been away from the Burst world for quite some time, but checked into my wallet today and found out that my balance hasn't changed since February 7 of this year. It seemed a little odd for me since I have invested into Playground and ByteEnt asset, and usually dividends are paid weekly and sometimes monthly but there has been a delay since the date mentioned earlier. Am I missing something?  Huh
11543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite PoS coin? on: March 02, 2016, 01:53:43 AM
Peercoin (PoS originator) doesn't get enough credit due to the shitcoin flood that happened and continues to happen.
Yacoin (3rd PoS and Scrypt-N and SHA3 originator) has suffered from the same thing.

Both of these are the most remarkable PoS coins in existence, especially Peercoin since it was the first coin that introduced this form of mining. It has gotten my attention, but something I wonder why it is so cheap when it is the original PoS coin. I am gathering a list of good PoS coins and investing into some of them to build up my portfolio. Diamond has a high stake rate which makes it very interesting to invest into it as well.  Roll Eyes
11544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin Hi-PoS hybrid pos/pow no premine/ipo/ico on: March 02, 2016, 01:48:31 AM
I have a question about staking Tekcoins. Since coins mature every 30+ days, I was wondering if it is possible to receive stakes on the amount staked from the original balance (if you know what I mean). Let's say I have 15000 TEK and I receive 1200 TEK as staking earnings, would that 1200 TEK received from stake be able to mature once it is 30 days or more, or does it only apply to received TEK coins (non staked)? I am confused.  Huh

New ZiftrCOIN Presale Launched!
December 15, 2014, 09:12:56 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=894605.0

Hi All! Wanted to take a moment to let you know that we just launched the ziftrCOIN presale on December 9th. As of 4 PM EST today, we’ve sold over 3.3 million ziftrCOINs for roughly $450,000 or around 1,260 BTC. (https://www.ziftrcoin.com/presale/)

1,260 BTC

Coin was scam from beginning.  Market cap lost value of 1187 btc / $418,357 less than when listed  Coin exist only for scammers to make btc.  coin is dead no chance recovery  There was never plan besides easy btc for buying  cars and taking vacation.  investors scammed out of btc.  face facts move on.  Obvious coin is abandoned by scammers.

Thanks for sharing this useful information. I have never thought that this coin would end up this way. That explains why it has been left behind with no news, development, etc. It looks like it has been completely abandoned. There was only one thing that I saw, and that was merging with GoCoin, but still I wonder whenever this would really work out. Unless another dev team takes the lead, this coin is none other than just a pump and dump scam.  Smiley
11546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: March 02, 2016, 01:16:00 AM

If I could work out how BitShares worked I would be tempted to set something up, but I find the whole thing very confusing tbh!

I did ask in the forum about this a whole ago, and didn't get any help, I don't have time unfortunately to learn about it else I would.

Bitshares might be a little confusing, but perhaps this guide could be of assistance to you. Here is the link: http://docs.bitshares.eu/bitshares/tutorials/uia-create-manual.html?highlight=asset

If its too much for you, I could handle it but I would need some time in order to get used to the platform and start this up.  Smiley
11547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: RPi Zero BTC Node? on: March 02, 2016, 12:01:55 AM
Pi 3 is already released and going out fast (but not enough to be already out of stock, so you can get it fairly easily). 64 bit will certainly be an advantage for things related to cryptography... But we'll see if it will be a major improvement for Bitcoin. I doubt that a bit. An improvement to run a node would be more RAM, and that's not possible with the current SoC on the Pi.

Wow that was really fast. So that means I could get my hands on one and improve my BTC node. Still, I would also order a Pine 64+ which has bigger RAM and will be suitable for running a BTC node as well.  Smiley
11548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: RPi Zero BTC Node? on: March 01, 2016, 10:40:50 PM

If you tried to use a flash drive to store the data on the raspberry pi to allow the bitcoin node to function faster. So long as you did a backup every week you could try to enable write-only on the drive to stop it from being likely corrupted. Or just leave it and format it when i does become corrupted.

Thanks for the advice. A flash drive might come in handy for the RPi BTC node. I am thinking of setting up a swap partition from within the drive for better performance of the node.  Smiley

P.S. Just saw that there will be a much more powerful SBC to be released soon. Its name will be the Raspberry Pi 3. It will have a 64-bit CPU.  Grin

https://www.litebit.eu/

Check out the New litebit.eu website and use your XMG for services there!

This is really sweet. It allows you to buy XMG with other alternative payment methods. I may have been a little away from the Magi world for quite some time. Is there something new that I might have missed? It seems that the price is back at $0.01 again.  Cheesy

I've officially asked the Quark community to join us.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260031.msg14065038#msg14065038

Hope I don't piss them off Tongue but if you don't ask you don't get Cheesy

Great initiative. Hopefully the Quark team will consider your offering and MUE will go all the way towards the roof. About my past post, regarding the idea of making an asset within the BitShares platform, it was only a suggestion which is only optional. But still, it would be cool to see such thing.  Roll Eyes

I have been watching MUE's price closely and it has increased a little bit. That is really a good sign  Cheesy
11551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: RPi Zero BTC Node? on: March 01, 2016, 07:28:30 PM
why run a node in a Raspberry board  Huh
for hobby or a practice motivation?
just to understand....

I just want to run a node on a Raspberry Pi since it is the cheapest to go with experimenting and practicing about BTC nodes. This would be more like a hobby than a real thing since the RPi is not very powerful for this task.  Grin
11552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AppleBytes - the cryptocurrency for the arts! on: March 01, 2016, 07:16:24 PM

ArtByte still has a very large and growing community of artists and art lovers on social media. To best see what is going on with us, follow ArtByte Twitter

We have always believed that the user community is the key that will determine longterm success. Because of this, we don't often post on BitcoinTalk. It is the artist and art lovers who matter to us, not the currency speculators.

We are currently working on many programs, but they are focused on continuing to make the user experience easier and more simple for non-techno geeks. Current projects include:

 - A rewrite of the main site ArtByte.me, clearly communicating how ArtByte serves as a token of appreciation given to artists, which they can exchange for cash, gift cards etc. Here are some recent projects:
 - Our site, ArtByte Store was recoded to provide a faster/easier way for ordinary users to get ArtBytes
 - We reworked our music site ArtByte Music Store to make it easier for musicians to list their music.
 - We reworked the faucet to handle a larger load as we were hitting highs of 1000 users a day on the site.
 - We upgraded the pool server to handle it's higher load.
 - Implementing our AML/KYC compliance program as required in the USA.

As you can see our focus is on the user experience, not developing some new algorithm, etc. that will excite the BitcoinTalk community, but make no difference to our users. If you recall, we combined features of Dash, Peercoin and Litecoin when we coded ArtByte. Our base code is fast and stable from the beginning.

Those are promising news for AppleByte. However, I am still facing issues with the wallet regarding my pending ABY balance. I have tried everything from resyncing the wallet, rescanning and even deleting blockchain data files to start sync all over. Even after many attempts, I have not managed to find a solution to this problem. Any help, please?  Sad
11553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: March 01, 2016, 06:51:38 PM
Does anyone believe that EXP could make it to .01?  this year?

I believe it could happen this year as things have been moving forward for Expanse a lot these days. ETH has been on the rise, as well as EXP, so there is no doubt that something big will happen real soon. Buy cheap EXP while you still can.  Grin

Ah, that's my fault, hoosen who manages the bank has been offline for a while, I'll try to catch up with it at the weekend.

Thanks for your help. I would be ideal to have more than one person managing the MUE bank, but it is just a suggestion. It would make things better and faster.

P.S. I was wondering if a MUE Bank asset could be made within the BitShares platform (just like Banxshares) and it could pay interest earnings to their shareholders (if you know what I mean) each 4 weeks. I don't know if this could be done autonomously (the interest earned) into the platform, but if so, then it would be very convenient.  Smiley
11555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a way to store data onto the Blockchain on: March 01, 2016, 06:44:47 PM
SIA

I saw this one but it is still in its beta release. I am hoping for a more stable version since it has a few bugs.

Datacoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=325735.0) and Strojcoin (+ its siblings) all tried or actively doing that, so you can try to get some more details from the devs (if they are still reachable).

These ones look interesting. I was looking more forward into Storjcoin which has more interesting features. Will be awaiting its release. If there are other methods to accomplish this as well, please feel free to share them here.  Smiley

muebank now change?
are i can withdraw mine?
i have  a few there (muebank)  Grin Grin

Me too. I was wondering why at this point I haven't earned any interest yet. It has been 4 weeks already, but when I check the deposit address at the block explorer, the balance is still the same when I first made the deposit. Anyways, MUE is doing some good progress. I hope to see its market cap increase real soon.  Grin
11557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Domain Names? on: March 01, 2016, 05:51:37 PM
There is an ethereum name registry

Great! How exactly is it done or where could I find more information about it? Sorry for asking, but I am not too friendly on how to set up these things, especially by commands. Any guide that would tell me more about this? Perhaps I could register a name with .eth domain.  Smiley

Was interested in this coin, but nothing from Dev is months.

It appears so. Looks like the dev is more interested into other projects like Expanse and Franko, and forgot this great coin. Oh well, it could not be bad to hold some AIDEN after all. Perhaps it would get the attention it deserves in the future.  Roll Eyes
11559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Domain Names? on: March 01, 2016, 04:18:16 PM
I was wondering if there could exist the possibility of having your own domain (TLD) based on the decentralized Ethereum platform. Similar to NXT, where I could establish an alias (NXT aliases) and set it up as a domain name ending in .nxt

As for Ethereum, I think it could be ending in .eth where it could be really interesting once it becomes a reality (if it didn't already).

What do you think?
11560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Looking for a way to store data onto the Blockchain on: March 01, 2016, 12:00:49 PM
I know that this could be achieved with Maidsafe, but the SAFE Network hasn't gone to mainnet (or released yet) and it would make me have to wait some time for it to happen. Unless there is a way which I am not aware of, then it would be fantastic.

If storing data onto the blockchain (like files or documents, etc) is already possible, can you please let me know which coin or what method could be used to achieve this?
