Spent 0.008788 BTC on a Monero Crypto Chip. I love to collect crypto chips. So far, I own 2 of them which are XMR and DOGE  Cheesy
12543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 04, 2015, 02:22:03 PM
Let's wait and see for Monero to reach at least $1. There would be good profits...I dunno  Grin
12544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The next generation of coins on: August 04, 2015, 01:34:24 PM
Only actively developed coin will survive.

It's mostly true. That's why I've been sticking with the old coins like LTC and DOGE. They seems to have a great community, not to mention development as well. Correct me if I'm wrong  Roll Eyes
12545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the Price of Monero still so low? on: August 03, 2015, 07:16:21 PM
It's not low, I think it's pretty high.

I think so too. I'm just waiting for XMR's price to go down at least $0.50 and then I'll buy more.  Grin

Here we go again: http://fastminer.net/

EDIT: Just to be clear - AVOID THIS!

This looked too good to be true. I'm well aware that this might be scam.  Cheesy

Earned some BTC from alt coin trading. I'm still a newbie when it comes to trading but I think that I'm getting pretty good at this.  Roll Eyes

You should try Wesellcrypto.com It's the most trusted Paypal to crypto exchange. I've received my coins in seconds after making the purchase. They only exchange Paypal to alt coins (such as XPY, DOGE, etc) but then you could exchange them to BTC if you want (in an exchange such as Cryptsy).  Roll Eyes
12549  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: August 03, 2015, 12:47:58 PM
I've been toying around with Ethereum, and am really impressed with the stack. I honestly think we'll look back one day and compare BTC to MySpace and Ethereum to Facebook. All these DApps will make it a game changer http://dapps.ethercasts.com/

Well, while I will still hold some BTC, I am going to move most of them into ETH. If I am a serious BTC Whale (e.g. 10,000 BTC and above) I would move half into ETH. Dumping huge amounts of BTC for fiat on the open market would be extremely hard and would probably cause some panic.

How is this relevant to this discussion? ETH has a real chance to dethrone BTC, and if not ETH, then something else of that caliber. When that happens BTC could easily drop below $100 if not lower.

The main value BTC has is that it's the most established crypto gateway to FIAT currencies. But all the magic will happen outside BTC.

I checked the DApps page. Those are great apps made with Ethereum. Became interested in developing some apps for Ethereum.

By the way, I have 2.80 ETH and I'm planning to buy more later. Testing the Frontier release.... Cheesy

Thanks for sharing this info. I was about to start investing in this  Cheesy
12551  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] CLOUDMINR on: August 03, 2015, 12:07:47 PM
Cloudminr.io will never come back. I knew that this site was too good to be true. It's been week 4 and still no new site. A good thing I didn't invest any more BTC or I should have lost all my savings!

In the time being, I'm just going to stick with the most trusted BTC cloud mining services. Bit-x and Hashnest look very promising  Cheesy
12552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Decentralized BTC exchanges? on: August 01, 2015, 01:06:07 AM
Coinffeine as far as I know is a decentralized exchange. But I have never checked them out how decentralized they really are.
Maybe it's worth a try.

Coinffeine is an open source, peer-to-peer (P2P) bitcoin exchange platform. With Coinffeine you are able to buy and sell bitcoins securely and anonymously without having to rely on a centralized exchange. It's like BitTorrent for your bitcoins!

I checked out Coinffeine and it looked very promising. I guess this by far is the best decentralized exchange yet (in my opinion)

I've made $4.66 from selling my UMISOO hashrate on Hashnest. I earned some profit because I've bought this hashrate when price was at $4.31 I think I will buy S5 hashrate later... Roll Eyes
12554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Worldcoinindex? on: July 31, 2015, 02:38:23 PM
I can see Ripple is #2 in market cap on Coinmarketcap, while on Worldcoinindex it is #9. Hmm...interesting  Roll Eyes
Ripple is number 2 too on Worldcoinindex if you sort by marketcap. Worldcoinindex updates a lot more frequent and you can see last change if red or green.

I've sort it by market cap and yes Ripple is #2 in market cap. However Dash is number #5 on marketcap based on Worldcoinindex while on Coinmarketcap it is listed as #4. Which one is more accurate?? I'm so confused  Huh

12556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you own physical crypto coins? on: July 31, 2015, 02:11:25 PM
I checked out physical coins from cryptonic.net, and found out that there's a physical Monero coin. I like the looks of it. It's stunning.

Coinmarketcap is the most accurate site. It's updated constantly and provides a wide range of cryptos to check their info. This is my opinion  Roll Eyes
12558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins mined with CPU on: July 31, 2015, 01:53:09 PM
Are there any altcoins that can only be mined with a cpu that have a good return? Also what is the best mining program to use?

So far XMG is the easiest to mine, not to mention that it's the most rewarding. I've tried other coins but I haven't earned as much as from XMG. Just my opinion.

You can check the coin's website at: http://coinmagi.org

Hope this helps! Happy mining  Wink
12559  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 31, 2015, 01:33:27 PM
I think I could get 1 BTC through arbitrage in a month or two. But, I don't know as trading is risky.
12560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Highest POS Coin? on: July 31, 2015, 01:31:18 PM
Also, could give me a tutorial or guide on how to start staking coins? I'll appreciate all your help. Thank You

Buy, buy, buy  Grin Seriously, why do you need a tutorial to stake coins? You can get some by buying, participating on the community, doing jobs for coins, etc. There is no special strategy.

The best current POS coin based on the ROI is BitcoinDark. It pays weekly dividends just by holding the coins. Take a look at the offical thread on the board.

Further, I can recommend NXT, NEM and Qora. But do your own research.

why is bitcoindark better than dmd?

actually who knows which is the best POS coin? which is the most secure of all the pure POS coins?  black?

I was looking into DMD and it has a limited supply of 4.38 million coins. That's less than Bitcoin supply which I think it will make this coin to rise in price. Also, I've found that it has 50% annual interest rate. So far, this one looks promising. I'll take a better look into it later.
